Planet Coaster - Aerobats of Arabia (Part 6) - Carousel Pavilion

Ойындар

I'm continuing the Mamluk style into this video, where I'm building a pavilion and minaret to house a small carousel alongside the coasters, along with a darkride entrance facade inspired by the Persian Chehel Sotoun palace.

I can back you up on this Silv. I've looked at buildings in Cairo for inspiration and was surprised to see many European influences on several corners. There were some areas in the city that did almost give off a Paris vibe with a twist. I was honestly hoping for a more Egyptian Islamic take on the facades and was like...ugh what is this? I didn't know the history of it until you explained it in this video and yeah, personally as someone who has studied architecture (went to college for it) I noticed it! I really out to put out my Neo Moskow Videos. Although the project can be found on steam...it doesn't disappoint.

IT’S BACK!! As someone who’s been following since the Grizzly Valley days this project is EASILY my favorite thing you’ve done. It’s so cool, I love the passion you’ve put into it and it’s awesome to see how the area has shaped up. In particular I LOVE the overall concept for the park you’ve hinted at. Have you ever thought about, should this project get too beefy, building each land in their own park but making it clear how they would connect to one another? I’d just love to see this project keep going despite technical limitations, it’s so well done!

Have you ever been to Chessington in the UK? It's not a big or special park, tbh, but their Egypt land has a dark ride called Tomb Blaster where the queue runs all around the rooftops of that section, via walkways and bridges between the buildings. The moment you mentioned it, that's what I was reminded of - I'd love to see you do something similar :))

Nice episode! (spoiler alert: This time not a lengthy review with feedback from my side :D) I really like how you placed the pavilion for the carrousel. Especially the raised ride with the placement of queue en exit path are very well done and indeed creates that bit of elevation which you always do very nicely imo. You managed to cover the exit path very well and make it work (Those exit paths are always ridiculously wide with those bulky edges which I don't like about PlanCo. Wish they had paths for exits just like queues for which you could also disable the bulky edges. And damn does PlanCo really need to have some better tools to do fences for sloped paths. A tool to transform fences to a slope version would work very nice for a queue like the one for your carrousel. And Frontier actually had it implemented for fences in RCT3, why cant they do it here). I also love the minaret in the background. the structure and detailing is done very nicely. Maybe I wouldn't have chosen for the gothic prefab windows at the bottom part, but besides that it looks great I also like how you enclosed the plaza on the right handside of the entrance. At first when you were placing the walls my initial thought was that the walls might gonna be too repetative, but the way you filled that up and covered it with the placements of the trees is really good. Especially the immersive/enclosed feeling on that plaza it creates works so good. I also like how you did the archway back into the building for the coaster. The reference Chehel Sotoun is nicely done and very well executed. That's what I mostly like about listing to your videos. You give so much background information of where you do get your inspiration and why you use it which otherwise I wouldn't have heard of. little pro tip for video-editting. It would be a nice addition if you add the name of such a building in the video or description so that people can easily search it up if they want to have a look at it themselves. And also, thank you for the comment on the very long feedback post I placed on discord xD Afterwards I started to fear the post was a little bit over the top. Your comments on feedback in general are very reasonible and I completely agree. You can never take all the feedback into account, but as long as you reflect on the feedback and can make it up for yourself if you agree with it, or not agree with it and why, that's all you can do to begin with. And based on that you can still decide for yourself if you still leave it what it is, make small adjustments, are even think yes I do agree with the criticism, but for now it's too much to change but I will take it into account for next time. In that area even the smallest feedback from someone who is not familiar at all with the subject you focus on, it can always widen your view and give you extra insight in what you're doing. And I have no doubt that you consider that about all the feedback you get thoroughly.
