This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZread channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,755 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
Jules, as a single mom of two kids running a business, let me just tell you that the best money I spend every week is sending the laundry out. There is a service where I live that picks up my laundry on Wednesdays from the front porch and brings it back on Thursdays and all I have to do is put it away. HIGHLY recommend, especially if you're growing your family. You will still have things you'll need to wash in the interim, but it's so much more manageable to basically give someone else the responsibility for it for $50-75 a week.

wow I’ve never thought of this! Would be so worth it even just off set sheets / blankets / bedding - that’s also what I feel backs everything up!

Another laundry tip: My husband refuses to use a laundry basket. He folds his clothes on top of the dryer and immediately puts them up from there. It works! My clothes are always sitting in the basket for days while his are already on hangers or in drawers! Both efficient and effective!

Uh... $2,600-3,900/year just for laundry? I think I'd rather pay my whole mortgage for a month with that money and do the laundry myself...

My word of the year is peace: freedom from disturbance; tranquility. I'm taking back/protecting my peace in 2024.
I am witness to the five hour workday work! This is my first time in a Director position and with the new company I’ve been with for almost a year now, I can say on average ive only worked 3-5 hrs per day, no more. I’m now entering 2024 with a promotion to executive Director of the org and it’s all due to how organized and efficient I’ve become w my time. Excited for you!
My word of the year is softness: the quality of being sympathetic, lenient, or compassionate. I appreciate you sharing what goals you accomplished and which ones you didn't do so much. This was great and inspiring! ✨✨

That’s beautiful. Your year will be full of blessing others ❤
Loved getting to see your goals and how you brainstorm them, add tasks, etc. Going to buy the Notion template right now so I can do the same for 2024! Thanks for all you do, Jules! Hope you enjoy some well-deserved time off over the holidays! ✨
I've been planning my years with you for like 3 years and i LOOOVED this one, excited to grab my DYY template and fill it with dreams - thank you for the challenge jules!!! always so exciting and calming
My word of the year is "consistency." Loved this series!! Just got started with this challenge earlier this week ◡̈
My word of the year is Ease. I want to find my own sweet spot and blends with a good mix of serenity with a sense of being awake in the world.
My word of the year is ✨ THRIVE ✨
This dyy challenge was so lovely and I’m grateful for the goal setting inspiration this week! Happy new year Jules! ✨
Reflecting on my goals and what I did do is always so fulfilling. I often find I complete more than I think I would haha & then accomplish other things I didn't even realize I could do and that's always awesome to see!
My word for 2024 will be: action. I really resonated what you said in the beginning about wanting to be in the drivers seat of your life…I find it really easy to slip into being a passenger to your life & letting life pass you by. I struggle with the consistency of checking in & following through with my goals…but I’m hopeful I can change that in 2024 ❤
I love concept of having a word of the year! I've had one for each of the past 4 years. This year my word is Delight. Delight is the word of the year for 2024 because I want my focus to be directed to noticing, appreciating, and recording all of the small moments which elicit joy in my every days. Thank you for content - always so inspiring and motivating!
Loved every minute of this series!! 💫 Feeling so ready for 2024 - thank you Jules! 💖
Can I just say that I love you so much? You are the only KZreadr that I can 90% relate to and It's so good to finally have someone to look up to who has the same values as me. You are such a good influence on me. Keep doing you! ps, my husband and I also plan on growing our family next year! May we be blessed enough to reach that goal!
My word for the year is movement! Has a double meaning of wanting to have an active, healthy year, but also wanting to go with the flow, be flexible with my life, and take it as it comes ✨
For me the word of the year is CONSISTENCY - i really want to be consistent in what i am doing right now because somewhere i also know that i have the potential to be the one i want ✨ but the only factor which is stopping me is not being consistent...... So yeah all i want to do in 2024 is just being consistent and thankuuu very much for this video 🤍🦋🦋🦋🦋
What a lovely way to wrap up the challenge! Your work is so appealing and accessible and yet customizable. Thank you thank you! Enjoy your holiday
My word of the year is JOY and CELEBRATE
my word of the year is persistence. in the past I've kind of forces myself into toxic hustle culture that centers around words like "discipline" and "hustle" but they never really resonated with me until recently. This past year I developed a really bad personal narrative that I'm lazy and inconsistent when I am not that way at all! I am actually very persistent and have discovered a new side of me that has no choice but to achieve whatever I've set my mind to.
Thank you for this video and yearly challenge Jules! 🎉❤ May the next year be full of so many blessings 🙌 (And just wait until you are pushing/wearing that sweet little babe through your neighborhood, it's a great way to meet your neighbors! 😊)
Setting goals for 2024 feels both exciting and distressing for me. 2023 was a year of crippling illness and constant visits to the doctor to get answers that felt like they were never coming. This experience, and because it was the culmination of 20 years of chronic health issues building up to it, has made me extremely hesitant to create goals for, or even look too far into the future. Setting goals was a sure way to feel like a failure, because my health always got in the way...but a week ago I finally found answers and treatment! While I can't help but be cautiously optimistic, I feel like I can set at least a few goals and always add on from there. My theme for this year is "Simple one step at a time", reminding myself that its okay to take things at my own pace and to not compare my progress and achievements to anyone else. So I will plan my year slowly and simply and allow it to develop as my health improves and I learn what living life with wellness looks like for the first time in 20 years. THANK YOU for being an inspiration for the type of life I can create for myself and showing up authentically and intentionally in a space where that can be hard to find. Your content has been a little respite for me for the past month that I discovered you and I can't wait to continue to come here for inspiration and calm in 2024!

Girl, why did we have the same 2023 exactly down to the health situation. I FINALLY got answers to my health this year after 5 years of limbo and I’m finally doing better but I am also terrified of setting goals out of fear that I would get sick again and not accomplish anything and add to my crippling self doubt. I haven’t talked about this with anyone so I am so grateful you wrote your comment. It made me feel less alone. Thank you, and I wish you the best on your journey 💗
So ready for this! My word for 2024 is balance 😊
This process is so inspiring! I’m excited to sit down over the next few days and plan 2024😊
Oh my gosh I am obsessed with this! I am setting up my 2024 notion this weekend and you are giving me so many good ideas on what to include.
So thankful for this tool you've created and to be able to plan for 2024 this week as the work week is slow and reflective.
I LOOOOOVE this strategy for setting goals! Thank you so much for sharing your approach -- and the templates 🥰 Wishing you all the best in the new year! 💫🎉✨
Thank you for sharing what some of your goals look like Jules! I am excited to create intention and clarity behind not only the 'why' of my goals but the 'how'! Setting reasonable and actionable steps to achieve those goals! (I purchased the Design Your Year template a few weeks ago and I can't wait to dive in during my 'planning week' next week)
My word for 2024 is Intentional. Being intentional about my health, movement, routines, relationships, etc. Quality over Quantity
Just grabbed your Notion template and am mapping out some goals now!! It's encouraging to hear that you've been focusing on long-form content... I think that might be one of my upcoming goals for 2024 👀✨
I loooooove this. Can I just say that I was the exact same with laundry and so one day I timed myself on a regular load of laundry that had all the things (pj's, lounge wear, athleisure, work uniforms). Literally took me 7 min to fold AND put away. I thought why have I been fussing about less than 10 minutes to do something?! So time yourself, you may be surprised how little time it takes you. I get it, if you have multiple loads that time adds up, but that's why it's so much easier for me to do a load or two every other day or so instead of dedicating one day to do it all. xoxo
Love watching your thought process to plan out 2024! My word of the year is endeavor. :)
my word of the year : acceptance; a person's assent to the reality of a situation, recognizing a process or condition (often a negative or uncomfortable situation) that is a fait accompli without attempting to change it or protest it.
My word for 2024 is “explore.” Happy holidays & happy new year Jules ❤
Love this, Jules! I've been wanting to get to know my neighbors more intentionally also. I'm wanting to do things surrounding natural rhythms & holidays, so maybe delivering Valentine's treats, packing a small gift set for neighbors for Christmas, or hosting a holiday party... thanks for giving me more inspo for actually doing it in the upcoming year!
Excited to reflect on the past year and get ready for the new year!
I'm excited for next year, having a vision board and goals isn't something I've actively sat down and done. I've only thought about it, but writing it down is so much more intentional and seems like it could really happen!
Thank you so much for the content that you put out for organization, it’s so helpful💕. I don’t know how you can simplify anything more but I can’t wait to see it.😊
Love your videos Jules! They are always so helpful and beautiful.
This is so amazing! Trying to go into the new year more organized and with intention. Love the Notion template.
I’m excited to start my new year with this! Thanks!
Jules! I am so glad I discovered you before the end of the year, I just purchased your template and it has already made the remaining week of this year so productive yet simple for me. I look forward to growing with you next year! 🫶
ready to dive in and make my plans and intentions for 2024!
This is awesome!!! I've loved the Design your year templates so far and really excited for 2024 and what possibilities it brings. My word of the year is Explore! (I'm hoping to spend more time outside in 2024)
Just came across your channel and in love with your content! I absolutely love journaling and notion so this is perfect for me. Thank you for taking the time and creating this!
Yesssss lets go 2024!!!! Ugh I live for this. Thank you ❤️
I bought your Design Your Year Notion pack in 2022 and have been loving it ever since! It was fun to plan my 2024 in the template alongside your video :) I would totally be in on your future business consulting/mentorship services - can't wait to learn more next year!!
This is the first video I’ve seen from your channel, but I so enjoyed it! You seem so kind and generous! Subscribed and here for your Notion content :)
I love this notion template and am feeling so inspired to break mine out again this year!!
oooof I am prioritizing youtube over instagram this year and one of my biggggggest statements on my 2024 plan was exactly this "focus and create Instagram content LAST!"
Yay!🎉 This challenge helped make planning for the year fun 😊 I have ADHD so this is so helpful. Thank you for your authenticity and Have A Happy New Year 🎊

I also have ADHD and find this system so helpful for staying on track with goals!
My word of the year is integrity! I have big exams coming up in the summer and I'd like to get into my dream schools. I'd like to stick to my plans and schedules so i can get the results i need :).
You are a good find and doing the whole challenge has been wonderful. ❤
Just purchased the notion pack - thanks in advance for your thoughtful guide and instructions! Keep up the good work.
My word of the year is florishing
I just got an email that I was accepted at a new and amazing job and both notifications were almost synced!! Let's go 2024 good things are coming!! ✨🥰💖 Edit: I'm super happy to know you're planning to grow your family! I wish you the best and that it all works out how it's supposed to. May all the blessing come your way!
We hosted a front yard happy hour for our neighbors and it was a blast! We kept it simple, told people we’d have sparkling water and one cocktail, and that we’d put out whatever chairs we had. Our neighborhood has a FB page, and we posted a general invite there, and had about 25 people come through. Also, one night I was out walking with my husband and some neighbors were in their yard, and just called us over to sit with them!
Yay- love the wrap-up to this video! Would love to see another video on Notion AI and how you use it for different content streams.
My word is Journey. :) So excited for 2024 considering how different it’ll be!
Bought this template at the end of 2022, and I’m excited to use it again this year!
Loved this video so much!! This was so helpful and really enjoyable to watch how you envision your new year! If you are looking to get started on cooking, I HIGHLY recommend starting with a Le Creuset dutch oven and making hearty roasts and soups. You can bake bread in it as well! I feel this helps to understand balancing + complementary flavors and it keeps the meats from getting dry! :)
Love this! My word of the year is discipline
My word for 2024 is Presence! It's the year I move into the first home I bought with my fiance and the year I get married so I want to be PRESENT!
Just a thought: Jules I bucked and fought everyones suggestion of getting another THING and everyone was trying to convince me to get an air fryer. Well someone bought me one for christmas and I love it - I have not used the oven except one lazy night to heat a pizza. I use way less energy - it is so easy to clean and cook almost anything in - yes most things seem to take 10-20 minutes! And it is so much healthier with the small amount of oil I use now. It is really helping my health and giving me more time to do the things I love doing :)
My word of intention for this year is "KIND" . I want to be kinder towards myself and towards others so that there is a collective softer and calmer environment as we live our everyday life :)
I’ve been influenced by your video to now use Notion for my planning ❤
Jules this is so so so helpful video for me😀👍🏻and thanks for this video
Cook book: Carla’s ‘That Sounds So Good’ legitimately made me more confident in the kitchen. Every recipe includes ‘spin it’ items that you can swap in and, bonus, she has a lot of KZread vids of these recipes, too. Game. Changer.
Uhhh i neede this video. Ove been putting off diving into my 2024 goals.
I had done your Design Your Year challenge for the first time last year, and while I didn't complete most of the goals and faltered with my Notion at time (typical ADHD!), this had been BEYOND helpful for me! I am so excited to do the 2024 challenge and really commit to it. :) My word of the year will be Balance; like you, I hope to start a family this year (good luck!!) and really want to create a balanced relationship between my workaholic nature, and family/leisure life.

Oh! And I love 'Half Baked Harvest' and 'Cafe Delites' for easy recipes :)
My word/s of the year is self-acceptance, I want to learn to embrace myself completely instead of one part of myself
This is so impressive! I don't know myself well enough to do good goal planning.
I noticed myself doing the same thing with my laundry. I would do the laundry, but would never put it up and just grab it from the baskets. I tried fighting it but it never stuck. So I ended up just working with it! I have two laundry baskets, one for pants and one for shirts. Same for hampers, so when I wash them, they’re already organized. Then I just put the cute baskets I bought under my bed (I have a 18” platform bed, so the closet would work for anyone who doesn’t have that) and it’s the most “organized” and consistent iv been with my clothes 🤗 also everything else I just throw in which hamper it closely relates to and put it in a separate basket lol
For once I'm looking forward to planning this year!
My laundry tips are dumping the dry clothes straight onto my bed, that way I have to do it before sleeping (it’s actually a nice wind down) and rolling my clothes, it avoids creasing and saves so much time :)
Sorry another thought - chores... It was my biggest struggle for years, now all my friends are so jealous how I manage a clean house and have no stress about it and I had serious mental illness issues about it before - I let go - I rotate and give grace if it is not that week. I daily do a 15 min declutter and throw dishes in dish washer and wipe counters as needed. I weekly do laundry (or biweekly... and I do on a day I am in house - load in before work, take out and switch at lunch and same after work and put away that evening - so not daunting then!) and I rotate all other chores between week 1)dust and floors (dust settles downwards) and paperwork 2)kitchen (including any appliances need deep clean) 3)bathroom, bedroom and office (2nd two only needs quick tidy but get deep clean - see later) 4)predetermined bi-annual chores assigned to month - I figure big projects need done in year, assign usually twice to various months so every month more or less has two things - might be as simple as lights or baseboards. I let it go if it is not that week - if it really bothers me it fits into my 15 min declutter otherwise - let it go!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps some who is struggling :)
My word of the year is Eunoia which is a Greek word for a pure and well-balanced mind, a good spirit. “beautiful thinking”.
Clarity is the 2024 word
My word of the year is detachment.. I want to connect to the hereafter.. and disconnect a little from the materialistic and worldly attachments and devotions.. feed my soul...
I got rid of laundry baskets. You cant have clothes in baskets if you don’t have baskets… it’s worked a treat!
I love getting recipe books from the thrift store or market place. Y fav cook book magnolia table. All the recipes are DELISH! Some of my go to in the books are chicken parmesan , blueberry muffins, quiches, bulgogi. Every recipe I’ve tried is a hit.
I couldn’t wait for this video! I got the design your year template last year and used it all year ❤. I do have one question, so I duplicated my 2023 Yearly Plans and goals but how do I update the database to start fresh for 2024? Thank you!!
The One-Pot Whole Roasted Chicken and Rice from NYT Cooking is delicious and a fan favorite when the family comes over for the holidays! Also pair wells with a salad :)
For the neighborhood thing - having a dog reallllyyy helps. If you don't have a dog, watch one of your friends' dog for a week! It makes a huge difference.
Hearing you talking about the stuggle with laundry, lol girl we on the same boat. The dots aren't connecting, but I am working at it. lol 😆
Love this! I think my word of the year will be health: to focus on my personal health & the health of my business. 😁 As for your recipes question, try the recipe books (&/or website) from Brittany Williams with her Instant Pot as the device of choice for many of them. They're fast, simple & easy, and actually really good & flavorful; we use them ALL the time (just subbing out some ingredients here or there) for meals like roast beef stew, pineapple chicken, and chicken tortilla soup, to name a few -- and for the oven some of our favorites are her recipes from her website's blog for jalapeño lime stuffed bell peppers, and lasagna. From there you can only get more confident & start to try some things yourself. You got this! 😃
Hi Jules! For the cook book, try jamie Oliver's 5 Ingredients Cookbook. Super simple and classy recipes for entertaining. As for laundry, try doing smaller loads more often. Sometimes it's overwhelming to dump a giant pile of laundry out to fold and put away. I put mine in the wash before bed and into the dryer as soon as I get up so it's done and put away before I leave for work.
so inspiring
I love the cookbook Cook This Book by Molly Baz -- some of the stuff is definitely party worthy
to meet neighbors i suggest a little gift basket, stop by and say Hi. Let them know your'e there for them if they ever need anything and then just remember to say Hi and wave in passing
Recipe book recommendation for dinner parties - Alison Roman's Nothing Fancy. I turn to it all the time and it's really user friendly :)
Hi jules! Love your video as always! (Im one of ur new subscriber this year 🫶🏼) P/s; you can try to warm-up with your neighbour by sending cookies/cake/bread/souvenir (anything as a thought) to them. Like “hi, i made some extra buttercake, and want to give some to you” 😆. Maybe can try to do once a month first, then from there see how it goes 🫶🏼.
Thank you for the video, it's really helfpful. One question, for the "related to suppo actions" column, is there a way to add in the items automatically?
Hello Jules! I would recommend Pick Up Limes if you're looking for healthy meals that come together and have plating suggestions for presentation (:
I really enjoy watching your videos, thanks for making them! I have the same mic and i feel that picks up a lot of ambient noises. How do you cancel this? sounds super good. Many thanks
i love your videos i learn so much thank you! curious what program do you use to film and edit your videos? thank you
I was looking forward to this part of the challenge the most! 🫶🏼

I want to build a habit of measuring all the small and big successes as I build a consistent creative practice (goal for 2024), something I haven’t been able to do due to fear and doubt.
