I attended a MiVision PD recently and the rep shared how there are so many components that it can be overwhelming, so a tip was to choose a few areas to focus on and add more as you feel comfortable. (I know that’s not as simple as it sounds.) They also advised to edit the assessments (eg. delete answer choices or questions) in order to match what you taught and what data points will be helpful for the teacher to inform instructor. We use myView. Can’t say I love it. Pulling the core skill and doing that close read task during the shared read has freed up some time for small group or writing. Its also kept the week more focused during whole group. We will also type up the listening comp passage as an additional fluency practice passage if the cold read just isn’t cutting it that week. Hope this helps.

Very well done! Does Admin request/require your lesson plans? Ours does not. My planning is done in a planning book with pencil. I find that so much of my planning gets shifted as the week progresses. Cheers!

I teach ELA and Math everyday and then rotate between Science and SS within the quarters.
