I show in this video one way to approach a plain design cover for a motorcycle seat in the case of not having a sewing machine.
To get a 'non-sewing cover' I have taken advantage of stretchy side of vinyl material. The most difficult part is on front part of the cover because of its 'rounded convex shape'. I would have rather did a 'sewn insert' on this front portion as it comes in the original design. But, for purpose of the video I overlooked this option.
To get this difficult contour it was necessary stretch the vinyl from 6 to 8 cm on this side and the same on left end.
The first important key is stretch the material lengthwise and attach with glue both centers front and rear end. Afterwards, it would be easier to trim, paste glue and handle the sides in order to get the desired shape.
Before this process it would be advisable to put the seat under the sunrays for a while. The material turns to be more pliable. On the contrary the use of a 'hair dryer' is also useful. Nevertheless, it was not necessary because it was stretched just enough to give the shape. I 'used' the 'hair dryer' just to consider the option.
The yellow glue adheres very strong, and it is not necessary the use of staples.
Just, use staples and no glue at all in case of having a 'pneumatic stapler'.
I hope you find this information useful!

Nicely done, and great workmanship, too! Thanks for showing the direction of stretching, especially around the sharper corners!
Phenomenal! You are so talented Cechaflo.
I have started to do upholstery because of you sir. Now with only 7 months of experience in this job I can tell you one thing. # Every time when I'm trying to do something on my own way I waste all day and a lot of material is wasted. You are my guide, my mentor. Thanks for every uploaded video. I'm professional dispatcher in Firework department, but thanks to you Cezar I can make more money. Thanks for all.
Oh good. I cut my material with the stretch from front to back. Whew. Lol. Thank you my friend. I can always count on you for every question I have. Your the best! Xoxo

Wise hands full of expertise. Top quality work.
Thanks for the vid. Besides being instructive, I don't know why but it was very emotionally cathartic.

I'm definitely going to be referring to this video when I get around to reupholstering the seat on my scooter restoration project.
Another thing I found useful was marking which was the front of the seat, on the material, and which was the back

WOW… A video without BS or music. How refreshing…I don’t know what country this video was made in, but that adhesive is not available here in the United States. It is not barge glue, or 3M, or DAP weldwood ..I’ve never seen Adhesive act like that .. it grips, it seems to be dry, and there is no mess that gets dragged onto the outside surface of the cover as his hands work with both sides of the cover touching the glue then touching the surface that will show, and no mess, no glue transfer…Does anybody know the brand name of that adhesive? Not a guess, the actual name?
@Cechaflo

I bought this glue from a local supplier here in Mexico where I am located. In the USA you could find similar products, such as: Petronio's contact cement (brushable), Dap Weldwood, Landau top&trim adhesive (sprayable and brushable)
Very good! Thinking of doing this...need a new seat cover.
