This pissed me off so badly but what you’re supposed to do is TRAP HIM IN A ROOM AND LOCK THE DOOR!! Amicia actually says to do it which I missed 5 times.

Easy guide: >Crank the lever up to half. >Let go. >Go left, juke him around table. >Bolt for the pot-room across (right of the lever) >Juke him around the shelf >Go through the half >Lock the door behind him >Crank the leaver further >Plenty of time to leave the room >Profit

This part is the scariest I ever played, my heart was beating too fast when you had to run, dodge and hide

This part had my heart racing!! Thanks for the help!

What I do is once I get to the room with the gate, I turn right to that control and I spin it until he comes close. I then run to the opposite end of the room and enter the cell there and trap him there. After that, I run across back to the other end and finish off opening up the door. It takes but a few minutes to do and is easy. With him having to break out from the cell on the opposite end and make his way back to me, it gives me enough time to open the gate on the 2nd attempt.

+1 Thanks for the tip! This is how I did it: Turn the wheel and let the count get close, run away towards the other side and circle around until I squeeze into the gap for the room on the far side. The count knows I squeezed into the room but his aggro meter will go down and will then slow walk into the room via the door. I then crouched and sneaked out through the same gap and followed him, and closed the door. Then I returned the wheel. The Count then broke the door but by the time he got close the 2nd time, I've already rotated the wheel enough for the gate to open, and I don't need to use the 2nd room on the near side.

I swear the game was not letting me run until I watched this video 😂. 20 seconds in is all I needed lol. Thank you so much

@The Jokebrandt having to restart entire sections when the game bugs out and everyone gets alerted on the other side of the map and never resets their guard loop they just alert the entir map fucking up all the npc routes so you get caught over and over from the last check point

@@thejokebrandt3810that’s horrible game design IMHO. Outlast 2 did this as well. Enemies knew exactly where you were and would zero in on your hiding place even when you got a 2 mile head start 😂.

I hate this section of the game.

kept getting killed here for about 10 times before i locked him the rooms successfully and ran for it

I actually made it through the gate all by myself. I didn’t know where the exit was! The Duke caught me at the end of the the hallway. Thanks to this video I don’t have to search again.

The 2nd section I pushed it over over half way ran into that room on the far right and locked him in and just had barely enough time to finish the crank off

EASIER STRATEGY: Pick 1 crank and stay close to it. Easier to finish turning the crank by hiding around the shelves and under the tables. Just stay out of his line of sight and don't bother locking him up in the cells. It's faster. If there's 1 part of the game that will make you want to refund it, this is it. ASOBO surely ran out of good ideas for this dogshit level to make it through approval.

Thanks did it in my 20th or more attempt lol. The worst part is he trails you like anything whereer you go and she runs so slowly for him to catch up. Also they should include an option to skip a level coz there might be kids with specal needs play this..

There are little slots in the walls of each cellar that only your character can slide through, so you have to do that and sneak out run to the door and lock him in.

This game is like an annoying The Last of Us in the middle ages, including the main character locking every door behind her.

I get the point of this section, I really do, but jesus christ this is infuriating. There's a reason most games don't mix the mechanics of stealth and forced "hold button" prompts like with the lever. The problem gets worse when you make the character dramatically slower unless you're in an all out sprint and that with the stealth skills maxed out at this point in the game. This section needed to be reworked or utterly removed and left to a cutscene.

I was really enjoying the game until this boss. Seriously what the hell. I understand that boss battles are supposed to be hard. But the fact that this franchise always uses its game mechanics against you is just mean

This level is really fucking annoying me.

I hate when game makers put hard shit like this in games.

I'm playing this part right now and Amicia is moving about 30% slower than this, for sure. I tried syncing up the game and this video and it is not possible. Also her handling is really, shockingly, frustratingly slow. This whole section feels like I took a handful of quaalude and tried to go swimming in molasses. I'm probably just going to uninstall the game, overall very disappointing and no where near as good as the first game.

This segment is reverse of Deus Ex Human Revolution - an enforced stealth section in a game that let you choose between stealth and combat. And its equally as dreadful.

Literally hate this

This part took me about 6 attempts and completely ruined the game that was already dragging on way too long. On attempt 2 I opened the gate after juking him and somehow he grabs me five feet away 🤦🏽‍♂️. So you program a shitty Outlast chase into your game and now the CPU can decide if he wants to catch you or not when even when you’re in your running animation to escape feet away from them. Good job at making me hate your game a long with all the bugs and glitches that makes everyone start entire sections over lol 🤡

jesus, i can't believe how many of you guys missed, that you can trap him in a room. then it's actually really simple. i mean you have 2 hints: amicia actually saying it, that you can trap him in the room. or the actual sign, that you can interact with the room door.

too busy trying not to get stabbed by a npc that moves 4x as fast as you ad never gives any breathing room

Coming from a mostly 60fps experience on a 3060 ti and i7 8700 i was wondering why the framerate was so poor and if KZread compression was to blame then I saw the triangle prompt and remembered it's 30fps experience on other platforms. I pity people that had to experience the game in this poor state😔

It’s now 60 on Xbox series but it’s still so poorly optimised I’m still getting frame drops of actually about 10fps at parts. Devs are so lazy these days

Worst part of the game without a doubt. Could be solved a bit by updating AI.

It's unfortunate that I couldn't request a refund, but the game had been enjoyable until this chapter. I am disappointed with the design of this level and would appreciate Asobo Studio taking appropriate action, FIRE THEM!!!

Trash part

Don't even bother with the stuupid "teehee I found you"-part. Turn on godmode, crank it and keep going. Such an obvious and pathetic attempt to pad out the playtime even more, when it already long overstayed its welcome at that point.

I got past this part after watching this and I am doing this whole game on the hardest difficulty so it's honestly not that hard

The amount of criebabies is almost on a level as when Innocent has been released and people were too incompetent to beat the section with the cart at the end of the game :D Git gud, shrimps.
