Are these Phd courses funded by the college or else we have to pay the fees ourselves ? If we have to pay the fees then, how much is the fee for Ph.d approximately ?

@@shreya5187 They are either funded by the institute or the government or many other organisations. In abroad many countries do not have any fee for Phd but if fees is there for most of the students the stipend is sufficient to pay the fee and for the accommodation.

Well I don't know much about courses offered in NISER. But ur interest seems to be in "systems engineering" u can search more about it. I would suggest u to try for an engineering college ( iit or nit)

There are 2 ways: through GATE and interview or after doing Int. MSc from NISER in the respective subject.

Everything is great about NISER, but I recently gave exam for phd entrance (Biology) and oh my god how irresponsible its authorities are. First they didn't took the mock test. Second on the exam day, the exam timing was from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Due to technical issue from their side, they didn't let students take exam for good 30 mins. When exam finally start they emailed the info that time for exam submission has been extended to 12 pm. Ofcourse I didn't check the mail, because i was giving exam, so i submitted my exam sheet at 11:30 am. I couldn't attempt half of the questions because of the time restrictions as I didn't know it got extended. And the sad part is though questions were tough but I think I could have solved them. Its my dream to get phd from reputed institute. Now I have to pay for someone else's carelessness. Plus, some students got to write their exam from the original time which was 10:30 am, so they got half an hour extra then the exam time.

NISER, because NISER has been built for basic science, while IITs are built for technical courses and engineering.

1. There is scope for int.phd only in physics at NISER not in other subjects yet. 2. What do u mean “break “ int. Phd?

I would say- it is so unfortunate that most people in this country know almost nothing about such institutes that we have to use tags like IIT or neet to make them aware. IISERs and NISERs are too young compared to IITs, yet they are going to make a huge impact in the country. We should never underestimate the power of science.

There's no BTech or M.Tech Courses. One can become a scientist even after doing BTech but person will have to do Phd in that particular field...and more towards research. There is option for Msc through JEST exam. Or you can qualify gate and come as phd, however, there are Eligibility criteria, so I would suggest u to search for such options on google with eligibility criteria. However, I would suggest that after BTech one can contribute better to ISRO and DRDO

If u don't want to do phd, I do not recommend NISER.
