@@mridul3526 true, why blame people who are simply better. I myself only studied PCM, and still got 1700 rank in IAT without bio and also gave JEE. And this is also after I messed up on the centre and getting at the end time in the centre. People who have IISER as their pure dream should simply work harder, not at the level of boards

@@Zoro_-juro ofc i did, i want to go to iiser/niser myself. My parents want me to go to dtu/bits, but I wanted 1st) IISc, then 2) IIT-engineering physics and then IISER/NISER. But I am not saying for myself, but for others. as some other people would have got better rank and theyhave all rights to book the seat as a backup
I absolutely agree. I also gave IAT being a jee aspirant. Got 49X general rank in IAT but i will not fill the preference form despite of probably getting iiser pune to not waste seat as i will be going to some IIT at the end. I know there are better people out there who will put out better outcome in research than me so go ahead guys. All the best

no one is asking the jee or neet students to just leave your seats ofc you earned it But iisers are institutes where you really can't survive unless you really have passion for research Alot of students accept seats and the drop out after 2 3 months only leaving the seat useless for the rest of the year Also the people who are thinking of taking a partial drop for neet or jee after enrolling in iiser then sorry guys you just can't study for other exams while being there because the schedule is really hectic. So just think before you accept the seats You'll be wasting your own money and time , and some other well deserving candidates seat! So just think before you accept Thats a humble request..

If someone cracks iat and after that he doesn't accept any seat ....That means if he doesn't join for the counselling process.....Then the deserving candidate will get the seat for sure ......In this case seat is not wasted......Am I correct?

sir i totally agree with the fact that neet counselling will affect iiser cut off rank but most of the students of neet are not used to solving the type of questions asked in iat(logical with multiple concepts) .so i don't think that they would have performed well in this exam anyways

Best or two matlab esa hai ki yadi apne 12 do baar diya hai ya improvement diya hai to usmai se best of 2 liya jayga because percentage criteria bhi hota hai

Will this really affect because neet counselling happens after iiser counseling?
This wont affect. Even last year NEET counselling was till September and IAT rounds got over in late july,mid august. So this is irrelevant. No negative factor of NEET whatsoever. Infact only IAT entrance exam for asmission is a big thing ..a positive thing.

I absolutely agree. I also gave iat but being a jee aspirant got 40X general rank in iat but i will not fill preference in iat probably taking cs or ece in nit or lower branch in iit also i dont have interest in research field Also i know there are some people who will come do good in research field than me . all the best to future researchers

i think bhut logo ka jee neet kharab hua hai to obviously ppl dont have backup colleges so they will go for iiser niser so last year se bhi kam rank pe close hoga

Total there are 9 option available ( 5YR B.S+M.S in 7 IISER and then 4 yr B.S ENG.. SC + ECO.. SC. ) but for prefrence there are only 7 options/column to fill?? What about the other 2 options ?also it is mentioned that the max prefrence can be filled upto 9?? Why?? can anybody help mee. :-)))

hey, everyone out there tell me one thing with references --- Mera childhood dream that ki mai Nuclear Scientist banu ,,, but bade hote hote bas JEE ke bare mai hi suna but mai engineering nhi karna chahta , Mai NISER ke through Chemistry mai research karna chahta hu , but one of my major concern is ki " KYA RESEARCH MAI 5-8 YEARS SPEND KARKE KE BAAD PAISA HAI -- like engiennering ". Please aise reply mat dena ki - " sab kuch paisa hi nhi hota " aisi philosophy mat batana Mai koi bht ameer family se nhi aata and also mai Only child hu toh parents ka dhyan bhi rakhna hai , and means family mai kuch bhi stable nhi hai toh mujhe hi sari chize karni hai means standard of living create karne wala bhi mai hi hu familiy mai I hope aap log samjh paa rahe honge ki mai kya kkehna chahta hu

Even though u can earn money obviously but it won't be as much as a skilled engineer so if u r in a dire need of money and job then opt for engineering develop ur skills there and get a job. Because u will get a job through research route as well but if u want it early on (after 4-5 years) then i think future seems good in btech cse But again u might not feel good there because it's not your passion. You will feel like u r just doing it for money. One more route is PhD abroad u will get stipends u can support ur family through that and later after PhD u can apply for senior scientists/research scientists job in co-operate sectors if u really wanna fulfill ur passion. So it's entirely ur call what u want

I uploaded my OBC-NCL & 12th Cerificate(we haven't received original so we use the one from the website copy where our results are published) before closing of the portal. Should I reupload all those things once more?
agar tum badhiya rank nhi laa sakte to tum waise bhi subpar student ho aur subpar scientist banoge. stop blaming jee and neet students and work harder than them. It is a natural fact that scientists should be smarter than engineers.
