I am no longer sane after this.It is not that this feeling of vanishing has never struck me before but your picturisation is so apt that it could now never leave me also,In our race of growing big and significant what we are made to ignore,is what is the actual innate need of mankind.Compasion, seems to be a hurdle in the growth of our never ending enlarging EGO.We seem to feel so self sufficient that in very less time we forget that man at last is an social animal, and needing others is not a misery but is something which actually makes us human in the end

Abhay sir i watched your interview with DIFF and could sense the disappointment you felt after knowing that people watched this documentary after seeing a tiktok review and probably the documentary is not reaching the set of audience you wanted to. The suicide of "anurag kumar" who used to write on qoura made me curious as to what goes in the mind of these brilliant students that they end their life. While watching the documentary i laughed, empathised with the students, could relate to some thoughts of dr.k and at the end i cried. I can't put in words how i feel after watching placebo. This documentary has left me wondering about the lives of doctors also students at top colleges who are told once they enter these college life's good. I have to tell you. you have done a great job in capturing the raw emotions of the students. Great animation. Hatsoff to your dedication and all the people who worked on this documentary.

To answer the queries of some people after Dr. K, Dr. K came back to India after a few months. No one knows what he did those few months. He hasn't done post graduation after MBBS and has worked temporarily at many places. Dr. Saumya Chopra is a surgery SR in AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. Vrishketan Sethi is in University of Miami.

This is a superbly crafted documentary. It was suggested to me to view by a friend (online) in Groupme who we got to visit with as he went through this process @ AIIMS. I had no idea. This is powerful. In your society where family is so valued - to be removed & isolated - it's amazing there were not more suicides. I know, as an American, I'm missing & not understanding a lot here but this really conveyed a lot of information in a short amount of time. I actually watched it in parts, so I could manage the emotions.

Those of us who have watched this documentary knows his most intimate thoughts, his way of thinking, his passion, things that makes him sad, that makes him happy, that he cares about, what he thinks of himself, what he thinks of this system , this world ; all of us must have smiled at that question. I know I did. Because throughout this docuemntary this question - kuch bata apne baare may, has been answered in the most elaborate, beautiful and horrific way possible.

This movie feels very big to me, I don't know why. I am preparing for neet and I relate to it to a great extent. Needless to say it shook me to my core. I have gotten the much needed to push to question myself. Who am I? Why do I want what I want? I feel for everyone in this movie. As humans we need to think where we are headed, why are the top educational institutions in this country and in the world, filled with cases of suicide. We need to think what we value as a society because we definitely value the wrong things. I am and will always be fascinated with this very depressing piece of art.

Also, I relate to Dr. K. When he said he was screaming with no other motive than just screaming, or that time was an illusion, "we just create ripples"- our actions, create incidences, that give time its significance to us. Time in itself is nothing. The way he holds suicide to a high moral value, I relate to him so much, I wish I knew where he is now, how he's doing. And to anyone reading this long comment, don't let yourself get carried away with the crowd. Please pause and ask yourself questions, there's no point in being the best if you're not alive and help people, help yourself.

Depression is very different by person to person and with his history.... Actually depression is like... U feel sad on every condition.... Even when your friend is laughing at jockes... U feel in your mind that why and what is going in life.. is this necessary? And this thinking leads to suicide person think that by only doing suicide i can stop thinking or to get out from that condition.. in this movie K have added so much physics in psychiatry which is part of mania... Cause by drugs.. Depression is always cause or triggered by a reason. Those who think so much are mostly triggered.. so simply just try to find or share that root cause reason with people's ( mom and dad) around u it may helps you out... From experience!!

I mean why just blame on the absence of interaction between juniors and seniors? Couldn't that 2 am friend be your classmate? Come on, it's easier to bond and talk to your own classmates right? Also, can we all agree that ragging is not the only way to interact, to know someone and to save them from isolation. PS- it's easier to point fingers at others than to take responsibilities and change yourself. If you know what I mean. Education system is f**** up already. Should we make it worse by ragging and discrimination? All that said... Beautifully documented.

No. Crisis like these can't be solved with a help of a batchmate who is as novice as him or her. It can only be solved with the help of a person who has been through that or at least seen that . If you talk about ragging .It was made for the interaction purpose.it got deviated from its purpose in some places but you can't say it is some physical assault or something anywhere. Benefits are immense .Downside is limited . Talk to a person who has been through ragging .He will tell you that he was fortunate enough that he went through it . Bit it should be under check and limited.

@@aisvarya3555 Plenty of students committed suicide due to ragging. You can have interaction with seniors without ragging also but still I don't think any interaction is even necessary. The problem lies with the system where everyone is pushed better than the person next to you, hence when people treat it as a zero-sum its inevitable that the people on the lower end will break down as they feel they are worthless.
