To pay someone back in kind means to do the same to them as they have done for you. So what Brian is saying is that if this person promises not to leave, he will promise the same thing in return.

I love everything from their first self-titled album to 'Battle for the Son'. Having been fans for them since the release of Meds (2006) I have heard every single track they have officially released. They just write songs which suit their moods. Happy. Sad. Whatever, but you can really hear how the band has progressed. Especially now that Brian has come off heavily cut drugs. I don't think it's any better; but it sure as hell isn't any less appealing ;)

Honestly, my favourite placebo albums are in chronological order...

Not to offend anyone, but I really think Battle for the Sun is a truly great album! I believe Placebo's gotten better and better through all these years. It's just an album you have to listen to A LOT and then it all makes sense. Songs like "Speak in tongues", "kings of medecine" and "come undone" (especially that one) are some of the best songs ever made by the band. So much emotion lying in there! But listen to it a lot, then judge it =)

Yeah, it was an extra on the Japanese version of BftS. Bands usually put an extra track on the Japanese versions of albums; something to do with having to wait longer for it and the cost. I'm not sure. Anyway...

old school placebo for me! but i do love their recent work as well, " come undone " is amazing - so well built up and " kings of medicine" is very moving !!!

and all the instruments now added to them (the past albums didnt have them) are also great... trumpets violins new drummer amazing..

They have been making more music that's "back to the roots", without electronic stuff, just guitar/base and drum. This is one of them :)

I only knew Placebo last year. I was watching Optimus alive concert on tv and I was like: what the fuck is this?! this is amazing :O.. the worst is that I went to see metallica in the day before at Optimus alive and I cant believe that I had the opportunity to see them live if I went to the next day of the festival, the concert was so fucking great :O but this year they are comming to Portugal again and I already have the ticket ^^ can't wait !

Bene placebo fan since 1998..although theire latest albums did not go well with the way I developed musically.. every time I listen to old tracks it's like coming back home after a long journey..

it's a good album , but not great , you cant compare it with their old stuff favorite song of this album "kings of medecine" but you CANT say that "Speak in tongues", "kings of medecine" and "come undone" are the best songs that they ever made if you listen to this album a lot , over and over again it's obvius that you'll end up liking it
