Jacob Farmer This story really makes you think. I appreciate his honesty, service, and sacrifice. I also appreciate the sacrifice you and the rest of the family made and am sorry for the difficult times. I don't think the families hear that as often as they should. I hope things have been reconciled and the time lost is being made up now. Respect and regards to all involved.

Jacob your dad is a hero, he is an amazing guy, from what i watch he has been through a lot. I am glad he choose bow hunting. Hunting gives you time to think, relax and just talk to God. Your dad is awesome to share his story. I am very glad he never went all the way and pulled the trigger. That shows he cared for you and your brother and he is one tough guy.

I am taking a moment to say, "Thank you!"! I hadn't pulled a trigger since I left the Corps in 1997! This is how I have felt for a very long time and was not even aware that there were options until hunting last year with a friend from HS and his Army buddies. My wife stated that I am most tranquil after being out with Veterans hunting. I have considered hunting but couldn't find a viable solution because I still can’t put rounds down range without seeing those I “missed”. What hunting solution would work best for a person who couldn't "walk in the woods" without "wondering why that leaf is flipped or that branch is broken"? "How much noise am I making? Have I to lead and be security? This is mentally draining, and I can't enjoy and be in the moment while taking a simple walk! Bow hunting has been that refuge for me. I fully understand why this video has impacted so many people "just look at the comments"! Thank you, name withheld, for showing me the road… Thank you, Barry of Newbury Archery, for getting me on the road. And thank you, Sitka Gear, for keeping me on the road! I am sure I speak for many when I say, thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!

I also want to say you are a very strong man for not pulling that trigger. You are one of few that could pull through and not do it. Sitka filmed this to a T. I am happy to hear you have found peace in bowhunting and hopefully some peace to mind. Continue to do great thing. Sitka thank you for the amazing film. You guys put the message super clear. For every shot there was, there was a reason for it. No other film crew could have pulled this off. MSG.Farmer thank you for your service and God Bless.

Master Sergeant Bobby thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country and honestly for the world. It is great to see you in a stand where all hunters would agree it brings peace of mind to your soul. in a world of social media and division the love of the outdoors unites men and women like no other thing in this world. For those that have never done it they will never understand the bond we all have with one another. Echoing others your bravery on the battlefield shares with it the same bravery you have shown in overcoming the tragedy you had to personally witness and take part of during your time in and after the Military. Many in our country simply do not appreciate what you along with the other dedicated Men and Women of the Military have done for our country since the 1st shots rang out during the Declaration of Independence for the creation of the United States of America. Simply the greatest country this world or others will have ever seen or know. As an American there simply is nothing we can do great enough to express our heartfelt thanks to you. May God Bless you and all your fellow Military brothers and sisters.

Hunting is the source brother. The solitude, the brisk clean air, alone in the woods with just you & the animals, it just seems to cleanse body and soul. Find it & feel it whenever and wherever you can. Some of the best hunts I’ve ever had I didn’t even come home with an animal, just the experience/memories either solo or with family or a good friend make hunting some of the best therapy one can get. The feeling you get when out in the wilderness and “On the hunt” just seem to make all of life‘s mistakes and daily pressures melt away. For me hunting is so much more than just hiking or camping, I just feel more connected when I hunt, no other activity does that for me. You feel connected to the whole earth, the cycle of things when you hunt. Only hunters know this because you have to experience it to feel it.

When I speak about archery, I always add "For lack of a better word", and then use the word "spiritual". I keep doing this for various reasons, like to not offend anyone who might attribute spirituality to only religion. But the fact is that archery is a spiritual experience for me. Good to see another human being connect with archery in a similar way.
