    update: i bought mine and had a defective thermocouple on my propane burner. i contacted pizzello and then spent a week via email trying to troubleshoot my burner. could not fix it so they sent me a replacement. thing is pretty sweet i recommend it! also got the 36" blackstone with airfryer drawers. love that thing and the air fryer drawers fit a 4-5lbs bird or a dozen wings in each drawer for reference. warming drawer is kinda dumb unless youre done cooking something early and want to keep it warm while you finish cooking on the griddle.

    I found this oven in the 12” model to be incredible, great review. The 16” will definitely be my next oven. You can spend more but in my opinion you can’t get a better oven.

    Yeah this oven is really good and makes it hard to mess up the pizza. I like having the extra space to work with in the 16 inch model even when making smaller pizzas. I was really surprised at the price too!

    Hey Rodrick, do you happen to know the height of the opening? Trying to think of creative ways to use this aside from pizza IF I buy it. It looks bigger than most of that size and price range.

    Yeah, that’s exactly one of the reasons why I like this one, there’s more room to work with. I just took my tape measure to it and got these results. The height from the top to the pizza stone is a little bit over 4 1/2 inches. That being said, as seen in the video, there is a metal piece inside on the roof about 5 inches inward that drops down about an inch. As far as the width, the bottom at the pizza stone starts at 16 inches and tapers up to 14 inches at the top. It would’ve been better if it was 16 inches straight up, but it’s not too much of an issue.

    @@RodrickViews thanks man! I highly and thoroughly appreciate the reply. Pizello just replied with a screenshot of the exterior diagram but your info was super helpful. I’m in search of a way to cook banh mi bread outside of the conventional oven which would require a thin pan of water under a baguette pan for a little moisture to help the spring of the bread. It would also save vs electricity. So far, utilizing a propane grill and fitting it with a PID MAY be the only way to get consistent results. I just may test out a cabinet propane smoker on consisten temps. I’m sure it’ll be pretty useful for low-budget bakers. Again, thanks for the help!

    Working with these I’ve learned to heat the oven up and then shut the gas off or keep it very low when you put the pie into the oven and use the door in front to keep the heat in so the pie can cook..the pie takes time to cook, it will also unstick itself when it is ready to be turned. after the pie is cooked you put the gas back on to then get the cheese nice and brown. Took me about 2 burnt pies to get good at it and learn how to do it properly..I also work at a pizzeria and use wood peels to both take out and put in pies, when you use the peel, use a lower angle and put the edge of the peel where you want the back of the pie to sit. I’m going to need to buy a wood peel for myself to use because it’s what I use. I am interested in buying and I love that there is a 16” size because my small pies are 12” and I love being able to have that wiggle room to turn the pie around, thanks for the video! I enjoyed it!
