I can't argue with any of this. It's is all very accurate. I would just add that in the mid 80's when guys like Paul Linden and Stan Black, and a major (sinister IMHO) player named Gene Cramm had wielded control of the entertainment in Showbiz from me, there were tremendous ego battles going on as well. They were all downplaying the importance of aspects of the entertainment and animatronics that I felt were immutable and up-playing their own brilliance and concept superiority. There was lots of bad mouthing of me (Aaron Fechter) going on at corporate and these men were all desperate to prove that they no longer needed me or any of the ideas I was developing to create a long term, viable concept. I cashed in my chips and wished them well with no hard feelings. I knew this was the natural order of things and that the only way I could have continued being the leader of this concept was that if it were making money. So, it was like a ship that was sinking through no fault of mine that I was happy to take a life boat from while the guys who were drilling holes in the ship's hull to let the water out stayed and kept drilling holes. There's so much more to this story including their insane concoctions to keep Showbiz afloat that I vetoed for everybody's own good until the execs told me they wanted me to make replacement parts for Chuck E. Cheese characters. That was my signal to move on. So, how about a "Where are they now" episode for the guys still living?

Neato, I've also always wondered what the faint details were on the backdrop of the center stage for the Magic Stage were, it was just today I learned that they had slide projection integrated. Not only the video goes over the concept behind the magic stage, it also goes over some of the beef between Showbiz Pizza Time and Creative Engineering that would eventually lead to the event of Concept Unification.

Mostly unrelated, but somehow it feels like a supreme irony that people courting CEI to make Rocky and Bullwinkle stage show would have like, tight specifications on what that show could do. Like, have they ever watched the show itself?

What other Christmas songs are on the showtape besides the edited Disco Christmas? Because 12 Days of Christmas and Night Before Christmas have at least one instance where either the characters or band are referred to, I'd imagine they wouldn't be on it.

@@showbizpizzacom I said I figured those two wouldn't be included for the reason I already stated (referring to either the band or one of the characters by name). Though I've just now remembered that Rolfe & Earl refer to each other on Disco Christmas so is that track further edited to remove their part (or at least their names)? Anyways, that list seems about what I figured would be in the tape though I wasn't expecting the two non-holiday segments.
