I used to use an Epson ET-2550 kzread.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.

I purchased a canon Pixma MG 6820 to use for edible image printing. When trying to install the edible ink to the brand new printer I get a tank error. Error code 1750. I can not get past this error. This model came highly recommended by other bakers but I don't know how if it doesn't acknowledge the cartridges.

Canon does not recommend the use of edible ink or icing sheets for use in any of its range of Ink Jet Printers. The printers are not designed to print with edible inks or to be used with edible icing paper. Canon has not approved or tested edible inks or icing sheet for use in any of its range of Ink Jet printers.

Hi! This video depicts the initial setup. When you're first setting up the printer, there won't be any ink cartridges in it. Removing the ink cartridges is just easy as installing them. Simply perform step 4 in reverse. Hope this helps!

Hi London: If you remove the cartridge, replace it immediately. If either the black or color cartridge isn't installed, an error occurs and the machine can't print. You must have both black and color cartridges in the printer. We hope this answers your question.

Hi, Amy! Your PIXMA printer requires all of its ink cartridges to be installed and to have at least some ink in each one for it to work properly. Your printer will display an alert if any of the cartridges are missing or empty. Hope this helps!

The printer ink cartridge is too delicate. -Doesnt know when ink level is low, just counts by sheets? -Printer cartridge not recognized (one time use/installation cartirdges?) has ink and electrical pin strips seems fine. Very frustrating, please updates? Being poor sucks....?! sighs.... money..... forces user to buy new ink cartridges more? Sighs.... :S :( But thanks for the customer help.....

Mine are inserted properly as shown above in the video. However the yellow/orange light continues to blink 4 times. I've been at this for an hour. Unplugged, replugged, removed paper, restocked paper, shut down for a minute then turned back on. Removed ink cartridge then replaced ink cartridge. Yet nothing is working. I just purchased this yesterday. It had been working properly until I needed to change the ink cartridge. Please help, I would hate to return this.

Re-seating the cartridges is a good start, as is making sure that all the strips of tape have been removed from the cartridge, particularly the strip that protects the ink nozzles. You might also encounter this error message if you're using something other than genuine Canon ink cartridges. Rather confusing when it gets to the step of which cartridge goes in what slot. This cheap but good printer does not even have stickers on the carriage to tell you. After watching 3x, I finally figured it out. Color goes on the LEFT, Black ink goes on the RIGHT. Also should pop up on your screen, to do a print head alignment, before printing anything important.

i was told HP 650 cartridge is compatible with Cannon mg2545s but i can't get my cartridges to fit??help please

Hi, Salma! When your printer tells you that a specific ink cartridge needs to be replaced, you only need to replace that specific cartridge. If the printer doesn't mention any of the other cartridges, you can assume that they're okay. We also recommend that you use genuine Canon ink cartridges. A non-Canon ink cartridge may not be able to communicate properly with the printer and the printer won't know how much ink is in the cartridge. That could result in a persistent "empty" reading. Leave the empty ink tank in and select black on anything you are printing. Most printers have the option of black ink only. :)

Hi, Cynthia! If you need to remove an ink cartridge from your printer, all you need to do is push down gently but firmly on the front top edge of the cartridge. You'll hear a click sound as the cartridge pops loose and you can then pull it out completely. This is simply the process shown in the video at 1:05 but in reverse. We hope this helps!

No, you can go into the preferences and ask for gray tones, and you can then leave in the empty cartridge and it SHOULD work. Haven't done it in a while, but in a pinch it's worked for me!

mine ink port will keep moving, doesn't stop. What do I push to make it stop, so that I can change ink?

Hi, Bea! When the alarm lamp is flashing 4 times, that indicates that the printer thinks that the ink cartridges are not properly installed. If you haven't already done so, try opening the printer's cover, ejecting and reseating the ink cartridges, and then closing the cover. Or you need to do the align process. You print and it prints a page with colors on it. You put in on the scanner. It's called print head alignment. It's in the online manual.

Hi Jo! The PIXMA MG2520 does support glossy paper, but only up to 5x7. It will print on A4 paper, but only plain. For that size glossy printing, you'd need a PIXMA MG3620 or higher. We hope this helps!
