Crazy how well the 6a punches above it's weight. I would argue that the Pixel does well for video. Better than any Pixel before the 6 family.

Pixel 6a is less than half the price of iPhone 13 in India. But its camera is too good.

Grant another fantastic comparison. Yep, I agree the iPhone wins in video. This is a tough one because of how good the 6a does in Photos. $300 is tough to ignore.

Used both phone. I like the colors on 6a better. 6a camera struggles in low light due to the old sensor, and the night mode takes considerably longer time to capture a photo. The low light photos can still be better than the iphone, but once you start to zoom in the picture, the difference is quite big.

​​@@iikon01Don't forget the Huawei P30 Pro performed great for night photos with its RYYB sensor. Check ben'sgadgetreview and you can find it took solid pictures even in a pitch black environment. But if you talk about night videography, although Apple is the champion smartphones do struggle.

the main difference here is iphone tends to make the image more warmer while pixel will catch on more details with natural colours. but the fact that social media platforms are heavily optimised for iOS and not for android makes it a deal breaker for me. Great video! ❤

@@rvvinayak2243 using oneplus 11 and ip 12 at same time and hence yes social media platforms specialy insta is more optimised towards IOS! ( on every situation either uploading content or scrolling)

The overall colour scheme in pixel looks more natural...Whereas the iphone has a very light yellowish hue whenever foliage is involved in the frame. Selfie portraits looked better in the iphone though. Given the huge price gap, pixel is definitely the logical choice here unless you are an iOS fan.

@@ralphgnl3232 Watch the video again without any biasness and you'll see that pixel takes more natural photos while the iPhone tends to saturate it which is actually not bad because it's social media ready.

I have a 6A and 7 as well as iPhone 12. Pretty darn pleasantly surprised with camera quality on Google phones.

Audio is so much better on Pixel imo. Photos and videos are great on both. I wouldn't mind to have any of these in my pocket to take a snap.

Nice video! iPhone 13 is better, but I like Pixel 6a too! About the audio test, you could play a music in the background and record it - just to test the audio quality(specially the bass) from both cameras... because what I notice in iPhone recorded videos is that the bass is so impressive than the other phones, but people don't notice to that detail, when buying smartphones.

*Google has tuned that IMX363 sensor on Pixel 6a to the core!* So much so that it takes better HDR and zoom shots than even the iphone 14. Iphone 13 manages to beat it only in low-light videos. Cheers.

I just bought a 6a. I'm not into Apple products. The closest I've come to owning "anything Apple" was on my Amiga 3000. I ran Apple's "System 7" on my Amy (using Shapeshifter) because Netscape wasn't available for the Amiga.

The quality of Pixel 6a reminds me of what I got with my old Lumia camera, only much better. Given the fact that they are phone camera, nobody would choose either only because of the camera.

Came from the A52s to a 6a and battery is a little better on the Samsung, so is the display and charging but apart from that pixel all the way, awesome haptics, animations, user experience and the camera is amazing. A52s doesn't come close even compared with a73 pixel came out on top

Good review. I suspect that the speech enhancement on the Pixel 6A may not be helpful. I have the Pixel 6 and it doesn't make the audio better. Also, do you have any thoughts on the role that KZread plays in your reviews. I see a lot of compression artifacts on KZread, mainly luminance noise reduction. Especially in low light, areas of solid color, or very little detail. The color WB is less affected by KZread compression. The settings used by the audience to view the video, can also affect KZread compression artifacts. Viewing a KZread video at the highest resolution possible provides the least compression artifacts. But most people view KZread on a phone, at automatically selected resolutions, which are dependent on the quality of the cell signal. And these resolutions are usually below 720p. The end result is that no matter how expensive your camera is, when the video is uploaded to KZread, it looks bad. Which means that for video specifically, maybe a basic cheap camera like the Pixel 6a is all we really need.

Pixel 6A good smartphone for its price ($330-350 in my area) but high PWM and energy inefficient Tensor chip could be deal breaker for some people.

Always depends what you're doing with your phone. If you want to push it with intense processing tasks, then maybe. Tensor was designed more to support Google's AI and Pixel features, which has worked fine for what I use the 6a for. Appreciate your thoughts on this though.

Just add the stabilization and fov to pixel and we all would agree who is the winner. But now, iphone a little bit better. Both phones take beatifull pictures, pixel have better audio and sometimes shot qualities, but the iphone's videos are a lot times are realy much much better

i have both pixel 6a and iphone 14. For a normal user there is not much difference between their camera. Other factors are more battery in making choice between them.

Either would last that long, but for vlogging especially outdoors I'd go with an iPhone. If price is important, then you can always find renewed/refurbished iPhones at low prices.
