@@jonpeach5851 According to Danny Winget the snapdragon version is better on video. In the photo there are pros and cons on both but overall the snapdragon version tends to be better

Great comparison. For me as it stands the 4x Tele is the real star of the 6 pro setup. I think Google are 2 software updates away from getting the most out of the GN1 sensor. With my limited use it's good but not polished yet.

I'm liking it too, great macro shots and portraits with nice shallow depth of field without using Portrait mode. Google has done the best out of the gate with this larger sensor. It took others several updates.

Yeah it is really good but there is little problem in near object focusing and the potrait aren't that good with 4x but natural pircture are amazing

Man Grant you did your thing in this video. The 20x zoom on the Pixel 6 Pro is very impressive given it's going up against 10x optical with digital zoom over top on the S21 Ultra. I think going with 48mp for the 4x zoom was a great call. A few more updates and this is easily my favorite camera system on an easily accessible phone for me. That Sony Xperia Pro I is my dream phone but the dream price is outta my league.🥴

I enjoyed the comparisons, since I own top tier phones from Google, Apple and Samsung, I tend check videos and reviews to know more about them. Thumbs up.

5:54 The S21 Ultra possibly used a crop of the 3x camera due to the minimum focus distance.

I have always had it that the S21 ultra is the king of video on Android phones, but it is really surprising how well the Pixel 6 Pro is doing right out of the box, an Awesome comparison video.

Pixel better with main camera and HDR. But S21 Ultra better in Ultra wide, Zoom and front facing camera as well in video.

Honestly the Pixel 6 Pro is really good,the HDR of the Pixel is really good (a little too good by the way, and it distorts the images too much for my taste) but I prefer the processing of the S21 Ultra, I know what it is capable of with the scene optimizer turned off. In night photography without night mode, the Pixel is better, but with night mode I find the S21 Ultra better. In night video as well as in night photography, the Samsung 108mp sensor shows its limits, seriously Samsung a sensor of 50mp max would be welcome 🙏🏽. The Pixel has a lot of potential in night video but it would have to stop wanting to illuminate the scene too much by raising the ISOs (like all Android smartphones by the way), it creates exposure problems and it destroys stabilization. Very good comparison by the way 🙏🏽. Ps:On the other hand, I wonder why Samsung has not yet integrated its new photo-vidéo algorithms (those of the Fold 3 and Flip 3) to the Galaxy S and Note 🤔.

Comparison is nice, but I'd like to hear your impressions and which camera took the more realistic pictures. Video on the s21 was really shaky at that zoom for some reason.

4k 60 Indoor winner: Pixel Audio: both portrait: maybe pixel Main camera zoom: pixel Ultra wide photos: maybe galaxy 4k 30 rear outdoor: galaxy Front camera normal/portrait : Galaxy **Front camera ultra wide**: pixel Front video 4k 30: definitely Galaxy Rear low light photos : pixel Rear low light 4k30: pixel Rear low light ultra wide: should not exist too bad. front low light: pixel For portrait Galaxy again 4k 30 low light front: galaxy as pixel is way too noisy. Overall- Pixel;8 Galaxy; 7 Pixel better upgrade their front camera for day light photos and videos.

The video with digital zoom though...see how pixel still look pretty stabilized, but the samsung was just really shaky. Overall I personally preferred the color of the pixel. There are still room for improvement...but pixel pro will be great fory use. I can't wait for my cloudy white to arrive January (hopefully earlier...)

It amazing how much smoothing out the Samsung does it even makes the flower petals smoother ! ….it’s hard to chose ! ! Both phones take great shots ! ….the S21 has punchy colours, in photos, to me the pixel gives a cooler but more natural colour finish…I preferred some pixel pics over Samsung and vice versa, I really don’t think you could go wrong with either, I am a Sammie Fan, hope to upgrade my S20 at Christmas…and am probably going with the Pixel for the first time ever …not having double icons and Facebook, LinkedIn , pre installed on my new phone will be good are you listening Samsung, ! ….think it will be nice to try a pure Android experience! Thank you for all the work you put into your videos !!!

I currently have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the Pixel's portrait mode. There is absolutely no reason the edge detection should be that terrible! What the heck is up with that!? (It did a decent job with the dog, but not the ones of you, unfortunately) On the other hand, I love how well it captures the subject! The image is crisp and sharp, ton of detail on the skin. Whereas the S21 Ultra looks like it's applying a beauty filter or something. In one of them it completely removed your arm hair.... If that's the look someone wants, that's fine... But personally I'd rather have it capture the closest to what my eyes are seeing, and then if I want to make edits to any aspect of it I can do that in post if I'm feeling ambitious. So I definitely think the Pixel 6 Pro will be my next phone, and by the time I get around to buying it in the new year hopefully portrait mode edge detection will be vastly improved from software updates. (I'd love to see videos comparing new updates to old photos, of course lighting won't be exactly the same, but I think it'd be fun to see the improvements) I'll be upgrading from an LG V30 which I originally got for the low-light capabilities, and the 6 Pro definitely takes great low-light shots. I wish people would do comparisons with older phones so people could see what they're upgrading to, but I imagine there's less of an audience for that. But I'm super curious because technically the specs for Pixel's ultrawide camera are worse for low-light than what I have, (actually all the cameras have a worse f-stop, but because the others are more megapixels I don't know enough to directly compare them.) but I'd be willing to bet that with Google's magical processing, and Night Sight, that the Pixel would take a better low-light ultrawide even though the hardware is technically worse. But I still wish I could see a comparison.

That would be a nice upgrade unless you rely on the manual camera mode on the LG. I've done v50 comparisons up to the iphone 12. Want to do more but all these take time.

@@GrantLikesTech I do use the manual mode sometimes. But only when auto isn't working (can't focus correctly, or making a sunset too 'cool' so I bump up the warm.) I thought I would use it more than I do, so it wouldn't be a huge loss, particularly since the pixel has a warm/cool and highlights/shadows control, if needed. I had forgotten I'd watched a Pixel 5 vs V60 comparison somewhere earlier this year, and decided the Pixel was better. Logic would dictate that the V60 is an improvement over the V30, and I know the Pixel 6 is better than the 5, so I should be happy with the 6 over the V30.

Pixel does it again, the unimaginable SLR like shots. Damn!

With the photos, the thing is clear, but I'm not sure about the videos. Differences in brightness when pivoting camera make the S21ULTRA better.

6 pro is monster i am using it .. shifted from galaxy note 20 .. incredible set .. just loving it ..

Night sight needs improvement on the main sensor of the pixel it seems the Ultra had Brighter pictures and less blown out lights in pictures.

@@sarmadsadeed7671 first of all congrats on your purchase. You can take a 4x picture then add background blur in your gallery anyways but it would be better if google added that to 4x portrait

@@mit6089 Thank you very much. I tried to add bokeh/blur to pictures taken in all lenses. They do well. I have faced a few problems however. 1. The 4x telephone lens does not kick in on almost all occasions. I struggle getting it working. 2. The pictures on all lenses are over-sharpened. Google will definitely fix this in a software update. Fingera crossed. 3. For selfie camera, the view on the screen has a lotttt of noise and grains.(feels like an Android phone with 2 mega pixel camera) Once you take the photo, it proceses it well though. Still, annoying. 4.. Battery is not good at all. Ny Samsung s21 gives more screen on time with 4500 mah power.

You can zoom in on portraits. It's confusing since 1x portrait is a crop on the main lens, so it seems a 2.8x portrait soon is actually a 4x zoom. I'm just not sure if they use the telephoto lens to take the portrait photo at that 2.8x focal length.

Summary: - Daytime normal photo: P6P - Daytime portrait : P6P or Samsung, a matter of taste - Color fidelity : P6P (Sometimes samsung) - Daytime selfie: P6P or Samsung, a matter of taste. But Samsung have higher resolution - Nightime raw shots: P6P - Nightime night mode: S21U - Overall vidéo quality: P6P - Overall video capability: S21U - Front camera video: S21U

Pixel is amazing...realistic colors, great dinamic range(and customizable), brutal detail, vert good zoom... And new features(magic eraser, long exposure motion...) just need to polish some details with updates... The pixel 6 pro will be my new smartphone😬

The cameras in Samsung phones still produce a lot of yellows, blues, red and whites. Still too much saturation. Also, look at the street lights on the night shots, Pixel Pro 6 photos are much clearer.

Indoor audio recordings of the S21 U that I've heard in reviews often have a slightly distorted reverberation. It's like the separate speaker channels aren't optimality synced. Flagship phones, are phones, which ultimately should prioritize audio and call connectivity. S21 U lacks bass, and balanced stereo separation. It's kind of okay with decibel volume, I can almost understand what's being said in a podcast I'm listening to while showering. Also the internal mic recordings have a noticeable bit of ambient hiss.

There's actual cameras and computer tablets far superior to smartphones, there's no substitute for a phone. Having paid 1500.€ for a S21 U, it shouldn't compromise (also now after Samsung removed memory card support). iPhones have the best video quality and exceptional sound with good connectivity for comparatively le$$.

@@GrantLikesTech yep i have watched your pixel 5a vs 9pro camera at least 5 times now. 😅 Pixel is very good at details and it has just 12.5 camera, oneplus on the other hand still needs to cope up.

Something seem really wrong with your unit for the s21 ultra, especially o portrait mode shots. Very blurry and washed out portrait results unlike my phone or other s21 ultras. Mine takes crisp portrait shots with great skin tone and facial details.

From what I saw the Pixel 6 Pro results are rather underwhelming. I expected more from it. It supposed to destroy Galaxy S21 Ultra but it didn't. Certainly Google have to improve camera performance by patches. Otherwise it delivers the same results as my old Pixel 4.

Expert raw is pretty much a stunt. Most of the time it's worse than a direct camera shot (even after I edit in LR) except the telephoto nightsight , which is a little bit clearer than nonraw

The 2 times portrait on the pixel is disgusting. Also i don't like overprocessed and agressive HDR of the pixel, makes the images look flat

Pixel, although to me they boosted the colors in video this time although maybe not as much as Samsung.
