So if you’re looking to buy the best flagship phone you can get in 2021 and 2022, the new Google Pixel 6 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro are almost guaranteed to be in the conversation. After a year of not making flagships, Google came back strong with a phone that shocked the tech world. But the iPhone 13 pro has a very proven track record as an impressive phone with incredible cameras and ecosystem support. So which one is better? I’ve been using both side by side and putting these to the test in dozens of real world situations to figure out which flagship smartphone is the better buy. In this video, we will compare these two based on a video test, a photo test, a feature comparison, and real world experience

Conclusion: Both are incredible phones. I think my opinion is sort of opposite of what you might expect. I prefer the overall hardware of the iphone, but the software of the pixel with two exceptions each. The iPhone’s software is better when it comes to integration and security. And the Pixel’s hardware is better for media and charging (both your device and others). Other than that, the Pixel software is my preference because it feels more welcoming and friendly. I also prefer the Pixel cameras for the majority of situations due to their impressive computational photography. The iphone, however, has a more solid feeling build with a beautiful boxy design with a matte back and very durable glass. The buttons feel more premium and the density of the phone makes it seem overall like a better build quality. Then again, there are tradeoffs on either side. So which is the better buy? Small correction: I mentioned that the iPhone has faster wireless charging (in most cases) but this is technically false if you buy the new Pixel stand, with which the Pixel can support 21W wireless charging. Without it, qi charging tops out at 12W while the iPhone charges at 15W on any magsafe charger (which is what I always use for the iPhone thanks to the camera bump) MORE INFO: Pixel 6 Pro 👉 mikeobrienmedia.com/Pixel-6-Pro So are you on Team Pixel or Team iPhone??

Google must have done a poor job explaining the macro on the telephoto to reviewers. Most seem not to know it is there. The reviewers that actually tested macro mode with the telephoto have said it is radically better both in quality and in usability since you don't have to put the phone right next to the object to get the same macro shot.

Because there's no Marco on the pixel ,its just a simple trick , zoom in on an object using the telephoto lens ,which you can literally do with any zoom lens too ,so there's no added advantage, and macro has more details on objects upclose than zoom ,as telephoto lens shakes a lot when you zoom and is comparatively softer than macro so you get less details

@@kushal518 but in case of macro implementation in ultra wide lense had one big disadvantage there is almost no natural blur on the close up shots and most macro shots from those phones look so bad to me, I would personally use that trick and take little bit wider macro with good background blur using telephoto instead using ultra wide for macro.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel I don't get excited about phones anymore, after watching this comparison I realize that most flagships nowadays offer a similar experience with differences in terms of performance that, in daily use, only if you're nitpicking ever get to notice. (Unless we are talking about foldables) So it comes to ecosystem user preference.

There prices are what kills it for me. iPhones are too expensive particularly compared to the Pixel range. In Australia the IPhone Pro 13 is $1699 while the Pixel Pro is $1299 which is the price I would pay for an IPhone Pro, or an extra $100 to $150 on that price. Apple would sell a lot more iPhones if they cut $100 to $150 off there phones. That will get more people into there ecosystem and stay there if they reduced there prices.

I used to feel the same way but the market is changing and it might be fun. Software optimization is now king. Everyone trying to get their own SoC and kit it out with tbe best optimization they can give. I think phones, CPU and Gpus are going to be fun in the coming years... Thanks for the awesome comparison, as always. I gotta say, I'm really impressed with the video (including sound) from the Pixel. In some of your comparisons, it did better than the iPhone, with better sound and stabilization. It's interesting how other KZreadrs' samples had worse video stabilization than the iPhone, but here it looks better. In other videos as well, the images from the Pixel were more saturated, and the iPhone was more natural - but here, the opposite is true...

As always it comes down to which OS you prefer. iPhone 13 speed and battery life is better. Android multitask and customization is better. Camera I feel is more subjective but video is better on iOS. This is coming from someone who uses both. When I was younger, I thought more specs and features were better but now I prefer overall experience and reliability. If iOS had better multitasking and Siri was equal or better to Google assistant, I would probably give up android. Just my opinion.

It all just comes down to preference, these days. Technology is to the point that any phone will get you to where you want to go, or allows you to do what you want with it. Even the “worst” phone wasn’t even comprehensible even 10 years ago. Both phones are phenomenal, and even though I prefer Apple and their ecosystem, the Pixel 6 is fantastic, and if I were to switch, this would be the phone I’d switch to. For a first generation chip, the Tensor is 🔥. Cameras on both are excellent. It’s all just so subjective, and really comes down to the OS and ecosystems you prefer. I love how these companies are pushing each other to do better. The innovation we have seen has been incredible to witness.

Apple needs to match the Pixel Pro in price, in Australia the Iphone Pro 13 costs $1699 compared to the $1299 of the Pixel Pro. $1300 is what I believe the Iphone Pro should be priced or at least close to it. I would be willing to pay an extra $100 to $150 over the Pixel Pro price for an IPhone Pro.

always fingerprint over faceid. especially when it's being an optical fingerprint sensor, its way faster to go through the screensaver since you activate the unlock process already when the phone is right in your hand, even when still in your pocket . with faceid and windows hello you always have to wait until the camera faces your faces. taking way too long in my opinion ^^
