@@TheYAMAMAHA The Pixel 6 is a much better phone than the Pixel 2, I imagine the same can be said for the Pixel 1, but I can't say for sure because I went from a Nexus 5 to the Pixel 2. It is an upgrade from the 2 in every conceivable way except for the fingerprint reader in my opinion.

@@TheYAMAMAHA lol... I just upgraded my Nexus 5 to Pixel 6a. My 9 year old Nexus is still running fine, and battery life is still good. I never had a phone that works for this long. Back in the days, the battery start dying after 2 years.

Great video. You can also get the power options up by holding the power button with the volume up button together. A bit quicker than scrolling for it. Hope that helps.

When smart lock is enabled, you can just tap the unlocked icon instead of swiping up to unlock the phone. ✌️🤙

I'm looking at getting a new phone (my LG G6 is 6 yrs old) and don't want to go with Apple or Samsung - this looks like a better option for me. I like the do not disturb feature at night for only certain people to let through. I get so annoyed when ads come through at 3 or 4 in the morning and wake me up. The security features are also something I want. For me, I think this Pixel 6 might be the way to go. I'm definitely going to keep your videos around. Thank you

okay please help me on one thing on Pixel 6. i have been finding it from the start? on the lock screen you can see in your video you can setup quick access from swiping up from your left bottom and right bottom of your lock screen... how can i get access of that???

Just got my new Pixel 6. Your videos are the best. Clear, concise, easy to follow and understand. I've watched your other videos, love them. I love my new Pixel 6 even though its bigger than my S8. But ATT is going to shut down both of our phones to new system, even though my S8 is a perfectly good phone, GRRRR.

Absolutely. But like he said, a lot of people are already used to the long press power button. Lol it's gonna take a while for peeps to get used to this new style Oh and it's not hold, it's just a single tap of both volume up and power buttons. Arguably that's both easier but requires 2 fingers instead of one

🤔Will the "always on" use more battery if it is activated ? I did see other Y T videos saying that if you have this on it will use up more of the battery .... Not sure ?

is there any solution to block the access to the control center with pin code? if everybody could desactivate your location or wifi/network all the security of the phone is useless...

I've had the phone for a few days now and thought I found all the settings. You showed me a few I missed. Thanks for this. I followed along with you and set up a reminder. It did show up on the lock screen but the reminder never happened. When I went back to check, it said "overdue". What went wrong? Also, at 12:10 when you say you're setting one up, what did you touch? I had to say Ok Google because I didn't know of another way.

has anyone tried the fingerprint with a screen protector? I have seen issues with the Samsung S21 where the fingerprint doesn't work with a screen protector and I am SO hoping this isn't the case with the Pixel 6

What icons are you using on your home screen? Are these a 3rd party download or stock?

I have 3 fingerprint scans of my thumb and the scanner still sucks. I love this phone by I will be trading it up for the next Pixel that has a better scanner. I just hope the next one is better.

If you go into the settings app and type in "game dashboard" into the search bar, it should come up.

@@rockabillypanda571 Thanks.. I tried that and my only option is to turn on game dashboard shortcuts (like DND ets), but nothing on how to remove the dashboard. It only pops up constantly on 1 game but man is it annoying.

Hi Alex. I see you're also on Rogers. I've noticed one issue that perhaps you can check to see if you also experience. On my Pixel 2, when I connect to the phone hotspot, connected devices get an IPv6 address. On my Pixel 6, this does not work, though the phone itself gets an IPv6 address. Can you see if the same happens with your phone? I have tried with the same SIM in both phones I have the plain Pixel 6, not Pro.. tnx jk

I dont think you can remove the google bar at the bottom.

if you hold the power button and volume up you can see the power menu and if you hold the power button and volume down you take a screenshot and if you hold the volume button in the middle you can turn off and on talk back

i would also recommend scanning your finger, at least once, while it's dry because that's when it has a hard time scanning it.
