The G settings and lap timers are useful for SVR models and F Types. It's on them all to save configuring the software different for the lower range models.

Thanks for the video, I recently purchased a range rover discovery 2021 and I'm struggling a little with the media player, I've connected an usb drive to play the music from there but every time starts the car the first song of the usb is played instead of starting from the last song it played, so you know if there is a way to do that?

Thanks for the detailed explanation. In Navigation, is it possible to save Favourite destinations by giving them names like Peter, James, Mum and Dad? After I entered an address there is an option to save as a favourite by clicking on a Star icon, but once saved I don't see an option to rename it.

Does the sat nav use an old map? My XF's navigation still thinks Avon and Humberside are still in existence

Amazing video. I have a question, I work at a car wash station and this cars are a pain in ass to work with because I need to put this cars on neutral for them to keep rolling on the chain but these ones and the range rovers wich is the same system keep getting the automatic handbrake, I discover that if you press the park button for 3s the handbrake will go of but when it's moving it stops again. Do you know if there's any configuration on the tablet that I can disable the automatic handbrake?

Thank you for your informative video. I just bought a 2023 range rover sport autobiography. I tried to watch videos from a USB but it seems there's no way you can watch videos from a USB. When you connect a USB it says theres nothing to play. I tried with all the formats supported but no luck. It only plays MP3 files which is only audio.

Hi, when using the centre screen to use waze, it used to have the map in the full screen with the weather and Spotify in the ribbon at the bottom of the screen. Now these two apps take up a third of the screen and have increased in size.. driving me nuts.

Matt can you help mate, I’ve just bought a 71 reg f pace, although the speed cameras are on the sat nav screen and they show up when approaching a camera there is no loud prompt to say I am approaching a speed camera, is there some sort of alarm that I can here when approaching a camera ?

Well done. I watched this before work this morning. I had one question but now I can't remember it. Oh yea now it comes to me, car washes, do you know what we need to turn off in pivi pro to get a Defender to roll through one smoothly. Believe it or not this is apparently an issue in the US, pull in put it in neutral it's supposed to get pulled along but from what I've heard it might not be so easy. I'm thinking turning off the auto brake hold might be one option I need to look at. My 2022 90 is still on order but it would be nice to be prepared. :)

Ha -- this is funny. I caused a complete stoppage of a touch-less car wash last week up here -- first time trying it. In my case, it's a car wash with a track that moves (on both sides, ie all 4 wheels, and you stay in the car while it goes through rather than an attendant in the car). I turned off my auto wipers... but beyond that, well it was a comical big fail. The Defender beeped, slammed on the brakes. was hopping over the tire moving devices. Quite awful really. Here's what I googled and wrote down, I keep this in my Apple notes on my iPhone now. : DEFENDER CAR WASH Wipers off (easy) Auto brake hold off (center screen on right) Auto start/stop off (by climate controls) Then - Neutral / don’t step on brake, & leave seat belt on / latched Fwd alert / emergency braking off (maybe - not sure if required since my car wash moves wheels on both sides) And keep in mind, this is a TOUCH FREE car wash, it doesn't touch and scratch the car.

I watched this to get a feel for the larger display as my Defender will be having that. 😁

Great video but please please please can you help with something driving us nuts? In my 2018 discovery the safety camera bongs are very loud but in my wife’s new (March 21) disco sport they are so quiet you can barely hear them particularly if the radio is on. We have spent hours sat in the car trying to find a setting to turn them up. We hope you have a solution 🙏

When the sensors come on it will dim the radio. Once it does this use to stereo volume to turn the volume up or down

Great information. I will recommend my dealer watches it as they had no clue. Can you do a vid on updating the map?

Some dealers are just not up to speed on the new Pivi system. I feel it’s by duty to know all about it. To answer your question, the map will do its own updates as over the air downloads so might be tricky to film. Thanks for watching!

How do you play a usb flashdrive and can it random select the tracks?

My iPace 2023 navigation has got stuck and will not work. Tried resetting Pivi Pro but no change. The location is Berlin - The car has never been to Berlin!

Would be lost without your videos. One question though, we have a new F-Pace but with just 3 Home tiles/apps. How do we get additional apps like Driving Style and Energy Impact?

Thank you for such kind words. To add tiles you will need to go into settings, and Home Screen. There you will see how to change the layout and add tiles my clicking and dragging from the options. Thanks for watching!

Jaguar I Pace Privi Pro freezes on sat nav and have to change to android plus Adaptive speed limiter does not appear to function any ideas how to fix has been back to dealership and lasted 24 hours with freezing!

I had a customer ask me how to name favorites in the Pivi Navigation system. I have looked in the manual and it only refers to saving a destination as a favorite, nothing about changing it from an address to a name. InControl Touch Pro had the capability but I can't find any information on how to do it in Pivi. Do you have any information on this?

In regards to your question about renaming the destination. I waited 8 months for my Defender 90 HSE, picked it up on the 17th July (six weeks ago) I had the same problem, took it back to the dealer as he said he could show me how to do it. He tried and then asked their technical guy. He said that the new version cannot do that. Hopefully when new updates come out it may be able to do it. Kind regards Roger

that screen is enormous. how come we have penalty for using smartphone while car manufacturers use these screens for infotainment

When trying to create a user profile, it will not let me go beyond typing in my name. I hit “next” and nothing happens. How can I get past this?

Probably best to contact your dealer. My new Velar had issues and it needed an overnight stay at the dealership whilst JLR did tests. The issue was solved and it was something to do with the software.

How do I delete journeys on navigation that are no longer required.

@@adelacour It does make one feel that, if you can rename the destination on the Sat Nav systems on a budget vehicle, why has this happened. The 2020 defender could rename the destination. I can only hope that it will happen when there is an update, which it's worth checking on the Settings on the Pivi Pro.

Why is it when reversing into a tight parking space and relying on the XE's great camera that it often disappears and a stupid message appears saying- "Front and Rear Parking Aid - Take care when manoeuvring? I don't need such an inane useless message what I really need is my reversing camera to operate!

Maybe you should have deleted the frames with that cars VIN number. One can easily pause the video and copy the number down. I really don't know if it could possibly be used illegally, but always better safe than sorry!
