And the two parks in the Squirrel hill area are biggest (when combined) than New York cities. People just need to come here and see it for themselves and they will find out how the misconceptions go away fast.

I've heard road infrastructure and traffic are abysmal. I've also heard public transit is infuriating, energy expenses are high, and there's tons of construction. That said, I have family history and am very interested in moving there and hopefully starting my company.

LOL, I love how you brought all the negatives up and say you're looking forward to moving here. I think you can apply all of those negatives to any City that's thriving in America. There's always going to be Construction in an old City and if there's not, there's a bigger problem. I don't think energy expenses are higher here than anywhere else in the northern climates. Since most people work from home, traffic is not as bad as it was pretty covid.

Another realtor on youtube is kind of trashing the city on those points. Can you speak to public transit? I'd like to sell my car and go back to bus and train.

@@branheckman so I'm not exactly sure what you want to know about public transit and my sure where you're going to where you're coming from xcetera but it's highly popular coming in and out of the city. Now it's not ideal so if a realtor for example drives a car daily and then jumps on public transportation in there of course going to think it's a nightmare. I would try to find somebody that has use public transit in different cities and compared to ours.

People always assume that because you see a lot of Steeler jersey at away games that’s Pittsburghers traveling from Pgh to the game. Thats partially true. Pittsburgh Steelers has fans nation wide. Many of those Steelers fans may live where the games is being held. When I lived in Atlanta I seen a Steeler bet there. lol There are Pittsburgh fans in Ga. and everywhere city in America.

@@briansellspittsburgh Fair enough, and I will definitely give a few of your vids a watch. I lived there back in the 90s, and from I remember, Pittsburgh was a fairly religious (Catholic and Jewish) town full of blue collar families. It would break my heart if it lost that culture to become yet another NYC knock-off. On another note, thank you for addressing my pet peeve. People have no sense of geography. Everyone who has never visited PA always asks how often I went to Philadelphia when he hears that I lived in Pittsburgh. It's shocking how few people understand the distance btw the two.

Ha, funny you mention the furries. They'll be having a blast at Anthrocon around this time of year.

I grew up there and moved south a long time ago. Great spaces, culture, sports, education. Would move back if it wasn't for the weather and the taxes.

Same here! I moved to Ky. in 1981. The weather in Pgh. sucks! LOL. Don't want to deal with it 6 months out of the year!
