Pitching Mechanics Breakdown w/ Trevor Bauer
Спорт
I've been helping a lot of young pitchers with their mechanics in my Discord server recently and thought it would be interesting to post some of these on the channel. Is this something y'all are interested seeing more of or not really? Let me know in the comments!

Dude, your pissing off a lot of online pitching coaches that charge tons of money for these types of breakdowns. I love it! Keep being who you are. Merry Christmas.

One of a kind person. props for actually making an hour long video analyzing mechanics and your insight is out of this world!
Love these breakdowns. You can tell you really know the mechanics of pitching and want to help the next generation of pitchers. Would you be able to add some MLB pitchers to really show what proper form looks like?

BauerOutage is the man with the knowledge he is passing to younger players as well as youth coaches like myself. Thank you
Learning more here than I ever did in years of pitching lessons😂
First, thank you. Talk about taking the mystery out of how to do this correctly. Second, you are clearly a student and lover of the game. So awesome of you to share your knowledge and experience with us.
YES! Long awaited video! I’m in preseason rn for high school ball and this is a huge help! Thanks Trevor

Thanks Trev! Especially appreciate you doing this on your vacation!
This is such a great vid. Came back and revisited cause there is so much info here. I realize you're back to playing ball and super busy atm Trev...but if u ever get a chance to do these again...these are amazing. Thanks again!
Trevor incredible how you are giving back to help the youth- 2022 MLB needs you back/ Happy New Years to you and your Family
Every minute of this is gold!
You're a tremendous inspiration. Thanks for all you do!
Just want to say thank you for looking at my mechanics and i will definitely be working on keeping my hips level and not counter rotating 🙏🏻
Have recently found this channel and series, absolutely love it! Was previously a highschool QB, but always had a love for baseball and consider it my true sport, so I'm hoping to tryout for my college baseball team as a pitcher. This channel has so far helped me tremendously in my understanding of the breakdown of pitching mechanics. Thank you so much!
great video Trev...love your breakdowns
Very interesting channel, I'm your super fan from far away China and I'm keep watching your channel a lot. It helps me to improve my pitching performance, thx Trevor

this is by far the best pitching video I have ever seen
Awesome! Thanks for doing these!
mechanical engineering degree is coming in clutch! i'm finishing up my kinesiology degree right now, got about a month left. did several different projects on pitching and hitting mechanics throughout different biomechanics classes, and this information is elite! thanks for your vids
Can't say thank you enough. Will be sending in some video. Good luck to you TB, can't wait to see you back on the mound.
ayeee made it in the vid! trev tore up the shoes but didnt mention the mismatching socks lmao, preciate all the help!
How awesome is this video? I teach social studies at an inner city school, so I recognize the power of education and how it’s not always available to everyone… The Reds only Cy Young winner paying it forward! I’m a football coach who inherited an elite youth team because they paid coaches bailed.. Im trying to learn as much as I can about teaching pitching… Our players have to pay $$$ for Top Velocity or go without and here can get training from a Cy Young winner for free! So awesome!
Love the content so much! How many days till we see you pitch? You make me want to start playing baseball again at 34 since not playing since middle school.
Please continue to make these!
do you think you could hunt medium to small game by throwing rocks or something with your skills
Thanks for the teaching 🙏
Thanks for the banger of a video!
Pretty cool that a big leaguer, and All Star to boot is taking this much time to critique kids videos. I can count on one finger the amount of guys who have made as much money as he has and currently playing who would take the time to do this on a free platform. Very cool bro. 👍

Wow, I just filled up two sheets of notes and learned a ton in a short time
I haven't seen a video out there, but I would be fascinated to see Trevor breakdown Tim Lincecum's delivery. Lincecum's massive hip rotation might make Trevor's head explode, but once he drifts down the mound, I would love to hear what Trevor's opinions are.
Thank you sooooo much for doing this!
You missed the first and most important one… Balance at the start of the delivery. Encompasses the weight distribution and level, balanced starting point before you even lift. Everything else great analysis.
You have all the makings of a pitching coach when your playing days are over 10 years from now!
Awesome breakdowns! I'm sure you've mentioned it in a previous video, but what software do you use for drawing on video?

trying to find anwser in comments lol
Keep doing these!
Seems like the later the hip rotation, the less Glute/ max is actually engaged. Medial Glutes are weak relative to Max. Maybe starting with the back foot at a 45' angle will rotate the hips earlier? Once the rear foot is loaded, pivoting the heel puts too much torque on the rear knee. The rear hip will be delayed until the rear leg is unloaded and is just along for the ride, its not driving.
This is stellar content. Thanks Trev. Any chance the link to the discord server will be refreshed at some point? I get an “expired” message.
You are incredible
I would love the breakdowns. I was hoping you could do mine! I am a pitcher at the University of Miami and I want to get my veto back after not pitching for a year due to injury my mechanics have never really came back to where they need to be. Thank you

It's never easy to come back after a year off, even when you're young. Use it or lose it. Subscribe to get Trevor's best videos about conditioning and power development. I'm sure his advice could help, but get yourself to your peak performance first. No sense in tweaking minutae until your arm and body are sound first.
Love the analysis. Super helpful!
What app do you use to break down these videos?
What app are u using to draw the lines on the video
You're gonna be around a while & will have the big 18-20 W years in time.
You mentioned the mechanics of Randy Johnson, could you make a breakdown of his mechanics?
I have an 11 year old son who I’m just getting into pitching and have him watch your content. As he progresses I’d love to send you some of his vids of him pitching.
Trevor is fan of japanese pitchers...what is his opinion on korean pitching level? Do koreans teach good mechanics?
Hey Trevor just a question: I'm 14 and haven't played organized baseball in a while, (I played until 3rd grade ish and then stopped) do you think it's too late for me to try and pick it back up? I've been trying to pitch and hit some and I'm reasonably athletic, but am i gonna be too far behind to catch up to guys my age?
@andrewgabriel4866
2 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, it's never too late to pick it up again. I played my whole childhood and quit mid high school. Didn't pick back up till I was 25 and I'm having a great time playing in amateur adult leagues and tournaments. A couple years of this and I have no intention of stopping. You can play till you are 60 if you want, keep the love of game strong!
That 1st kid also landed a little open causing his elbow to drag on its way through.....i used to be pretty good Lhp...i played with nick adenhardt.....justin upton....aaron laffey...
at 8:00 i think the reason for the hips being off might be because hes not on a mound, but still good advise just incase hes also doing this on a mound
You know, I’m something of a scientist myself. 🙂
Hope Your Having A Good VacayT😊🎉❤
Anyone know how to get a video loaded for Trevor to possibly look at and breakdown?
When is the new Merch coming?
Would like to send in a pitching video for feedback on mechanics. Where do I send it? Thanks
The discord link doesn’t work, does anyone have an updated one?
Trevor is there any way I could send my sons pitching video to review? Thanks
Cool

Hey bro. I play in a mens league with no mound. Are there adjustments you have that could help me out or am I just an embarrassment? Thanks

Honestly , some videos for us 40+ weekend warriors would be great. Like , i know I'm never gonna throw 80... how do i be as good as possible throwing in the low to mid 60s..
How do you level your hips out without having your front foot hit the ground? Each video makes it look like if they do their lead foot will hit before it gets out in front.
Sign with the angels Trevor!!!!!
Where could I drop a video for you to look at?
yes sir
Now I’m confused. A very reputable baseball facility is saying that based on research the most important variable to increasing velocity is the duration and amount of force applied through the back leg toward second base and the way to accomplish that is by tilting the pelvis. You’re saying to keep the hips level. What would you say to that facility?

Besides showing them your baseball card.
Im not gonna watch this but huge respect for doing this video
So i wanted to know, what if i do my best doing these things, but im a bigger kid, so its not as athletic. I feel as if i rely more on my legs and arm rather than hips because of my weight
how does ur catcher know where u wanna throw the pitch
Is your discord still active?
See ya in Boston babe
All done making these videos I take it
it says the discord link is invalid, what should i do?
Can someone help me with the counter rotation and why it is bad? I look at guys like Spencer Strider who do it and he clearly does not have a problem with it. I am just curious what these terms are and what really is good and not good concerning the "coiling" and counter rotation.

Some people just throw their natural way & sometimes doing it the textbook way can be impossible!
Trevor, anywhere I can send you a video?
How do you join the dicord?
Can I have a new discord link? I have some video you could breakdown.
I'd love to see a few sidearms broken down.
What is his discord
24:31 being that the wording on his shirt is backwards then I would say it is flipped.
Hey Trevor, what about being on your tippy toes when pitching. I feel as if it helps with momentum when striving to the plate.
Great stuff. Are you open to taking a look my 10 year old's mechanics?

Seems like hip rotation is the number one thing....
if 82-84 is 70% then this dude’s (at 19:00) 100% is 117mph. something about this seems a bit wrong
I hope 6’5 sophomore guy figures it out. If not, it would be kinda a waste of height. I’m much shorter and throw the same speed
