The Dodo awww love him! Pitties one of the most, if not the most dog breeds to train and handle. I grew up around and owning Pit bulls half my life and they are the sweetest dogs you'll ever own.

I use to be scared of pits too until my daughter rescued a 3 week old pit the day after Christmas in 2015. We can't imagine life without her now. They are so sweet. The fact they want to please their owners is how people are able to manipulate them into fighting. They just want love 😥

the media lied and started this hysteria. never reported on the condition of the "killers" when they attacked. from the early 80s back hundreds of years, death by pitbull attacks were relatively unheard of. nobody batted an eyelash at "petie" the pitbull being with a bunch of kids on TV (little rascals). im STILL to this day trying to convince people that there is no such thing as "locking jaws" and how this breed is the sweetest of any I've ever encountered. they ask "what about the kids killed by them" and I say "ask the owners". any dog can become a killer but they never report on the golden retriever they kill their owner.. its not worthy of "news money".

I don't think they are really ignorant; I think they're afraid and scared. In most of those videos we only see the dogs friendly interacting with the owners. But much more interesting is how these dogs interact with strangers. Where can I find an independent video of that situation? Nowhere!

People aren't ignorant. Pitbulls account for close to 70% of the documented dog bites annually. You want to drive a car? You need driver's ed, training, testing, licensing, periodic reviews, & most importantly, insurance. A person who adopts an animal like a pitbull should do be required to do the same.

Happy that you adopted this amazing dog. My husband and I adopted two pitbulls and got turned down by so many landlords because of them. We worked hard and eventually bought a home of our own. Now our dogs have their own yard. I’m happy there are people in the world who give these dogs a chance and open up their hearts to them. They really are amazing!

It is really heart breaking to know that you have someone who is full of love but others just hate them for no reason but you still have to fight for your loved ones

I know 7 rescued pit bulls. They are so funny and good natured sometimes their well behaved nature put my Australian Shepherd to shame :) I also have experienced 2 extremely scary and aggressive ill mannered pit bulls...their owners were rude, uneducated, and didn’t care to train their dogs. Yes, I’d walk across the street if I saw them coming to save myself and my dog. It’s all about how you raise and educate yourself and your dog. All dogs have the potential to be wonderful!!

So True! Just like any dog has the potential to be dangerous. It all comes down to the owners and how well they train, educate and treat the animals. I’ve met some crazy mean chihuahuas and golden retrievers whose owners were uneducated on how to socialize their animals. It has nothing at all to do with the breed.

@@shelbygarcia91 Yes, that's true. However, a Pitbull is bred to fight and more so to kill. The musculature, especially in the jaws, its bite and ability to crush and hold on is unmached in other breeds. So when there is a poorly raised Pitbull it is 100x worse than a poorly raised other breed.

When you rescue a dog rather than buying from a breeder or a puppy mill or a pet store, they absolutely know that you saved their life! They then pay you back with love admiration and loyalty like no other animal can do, only a rescued animal can do this!🐾❤😘😊

Last year my family adopted an American bully who'd been chained up outside through the whole year for 5 years! We live in Minnesota so it's cold! They used him as a 'guard dog' but he's the sweetest thing! We've had him for a year now and he loves having the run of our 24 acres and surrounding farm area. No more chains for Spot!

Only bad owners-no such thing as a bad dog! So glad you two found each other-beautiful!!

I was attacked by a pit. It took me months to get over it. I was a vet tech and a groomer for years, never had a problem with Pibbles. After I became disabled, this happened to me. Since then I had moved into a home that had 4 Great Danes (my breed). One of those dogs attacked me three times. I was always like "the dog whisperer" until that Pit got me. Then I met "Beau", a neighbor's Pit. I sat down and literally asked him to help me heal. And he did. He was so sweet and gentle. And to this day, he's still the coolest dog ever. I pet sit him all the time and now I'm able to foster for Dane Rescue again. A pit almost broke me, and a pit put me back together.

Little mini-videos like this have changed my mind about pit bulls. They are a very loving breed, and smart, too!

I have a service dog and she is a pitbull. Her name is Athena. She is the sweetest and most gentle soul you will ever come across. Jatin Jaiswal I went thru pit bull discrimination with mine but not any longer. My Eli was named best therapy dog in a field of 60 dogs in the therapy dog group in my area. Little did I know at the time that pit bull was going to make me a better person. Every Friday at noon I stop work and take him to work in critical care at a hospice facility. Pit bulls rock!

same as my dog, the small dogs are the worst.. oh man. Not all, but their owners are not very cognizant of paying their small breeds attention so that they don't excessively bark at people (get aggressive).

I have a pit rescue that was thrown out of a vehicle on a major highway when she was about 2 months old. It was bitter cold that yr and it’s shocking she survived at all. She’s a big goofball, smart, sweet, loyal, so loving, and protective of her family and property. She picked me and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

It’s not the dog, it’s how their owner raises them. Pitties are so sweet!

He looks like a superstar and sounds like one too.

You two look so happy together! Such a sweet little thing! I love Pitt's too, and my old girl of 19 years just passed a few months ago. My heart has been so broken it's like nothing else. My daughter and grandson brought me home a little baby Pit who needs a good home, and she is helping me repair my broken heart! I think that the fear of Pitbulls has just gotten out of hand. Any dog is dangerous, with the wrong owners ANY dog can be a danger. I love that people like you are helping reintroduce the Pitbull to people, and show everyone that they really are wonderful loving loyal family dogs. One dog at a time, just one more.

My 2 favorite dogs are American bull dogs and pit bulls and any dog like them. I've always have had one ever since I was a little kid and I always will no matter what. A lot of the time there better and nicer than some people are.

I have 2 Pitbulls and knowing how sweet they are I can’t imagine how people think of them as monsters .

pits could easily be argued one of the best breeds all round and family dog raised from a pup or a rescue. they are extremely loving and loyal companions.

I personally have never met a naughty pit bull. My friends make sure theirs are well behaved and have each gone through puppy school. :)

I met a pitbull that looked like a bigger version of a Beagle. He was so sweet and my friend's mom started yelling at it, telling it to leave and it just broke my heart.

I was walking home from work one day when I saw a man walking a couple of pitts in my direction, he started to veer off to the grass preemptively until I called out to the dogs in a sweet voice. Understanding that I didn't feel threatened by them, he walked them by me and one of them even gave me a lick. Sweet babies.

My puppy, named Murphy, was rescued from Arkansas. A Carolina Dingo, not really well known in New England…..has many pitty features. My love bug is my heart beat. He is joy, smiles and laughter all in the shape of a chubby , fuzzy boy. Love your pup.

I would pretend to be shocked , then surprised and happy because I always wanted to be considered dangerous and a menace to society. "I had almost given up on my dream of being a dangerous girl "and ask if it was my shirt or how I was dressed. I want to know so I can be a menace whenever I want. If he managed to stop the flow of nonsense and say he was referring to the dog I'd look astonished and gasp "why in heaven's name would you be afraid of such a good dog. ? Then you can start crying because you weren't a menace to society and your dreams are crushed. And watch him run away from the crazy lady. Training and mistreatment of the breed gave the dogs bad labels...Introduced to the sweetest female pit bull by family member years ago-They are protective of their human(s), make no mistake but her tail went up when family returned home and we were plastered with wet kisses...There is a flip side to most things.

the same thing applies to GSD, Rottweiler and Dobermans. any dog can be raised to be aggressive either by the owner ignorance or by abusing and neglecting the animal . the bottom line is don't judge a breed by how it looks or how you think its going to act. the majority of "pit bull dogs" are from breeds that are known to be friendly but protective working dogs and live well with kids and other animals PERIOD.

But truthfully, in dealing with hundreds to thousands in my rescue career, most Pit Bulls that have come thru here, display some form of dog aggression. Trying rent in Ireland with any type of dog is equal being homeless..so I see her as lucky one.. Beautiful couple🙂❤

My sweet pittie absolutely says I ruff rooooooo❣❣❣❣❣ She literally enunciates so you know exactly what she's saying💞

We have had pit bull for 30 years and everyone of them we some of the best dogs we have ever owned. They are great dogs. This little guy is beautiful. Thank you.

What a sweet soul. and such a looker too.

I’ve been attacked by dogs other than pit bulls so it’s really up to how they’re treated and trained by the owners
