Pit Boss Pro Series 1600 Initial Burn Off And Seasoning
Plugged in the Pit Boss 1600 and made sure auger, heat rod and fan were working.
Also sprayed down the entire inside with cooking spray for the seasoning.
Poured in Pellets and primed the auger, once the pellets started to fall into the burn pot, turned it off and let it finish in cool off mode.
Turned the Pit Boss 1600 back on and set it to 300 degrees and let it run for 30 minutes.
Then turned the Pit Boss 1600 up to 400 degrees and let it run for another 30 minutes.
Turned it off and everything was completed.

Glad you enjoyed it....thanks' for watching.....
I have an Austin XL but am going to upgrade to this in the coming weeks. What's up with all the starting and stopping? Is there a different burn off process now or is that just your method of doing it?

Pretty much the same burn off, was just trying to learn this one in the burn off, and had a few items I stopped during because I did think it was working right, when it was....
Hi Bummers, congrats in the new Smoker man!.. but why did you give up on the old 1100 model? Was it not working good anymore? Also, be careful of the stainless.. i am not a fan of stainless grills in hot humid climates. they become a mess to maintain. i would much rather have painted black.

It was kind of a 🎁 from the wife.....going to give the 1100 to my son-in-law, they don't have a lot of money and he only has a cheap $20 Walmart grill.

Hi BUMMERS ,!! Man " I'm really jealous of your new pit boss, l was wondering if they worked on where the pellets feed into the auger. Did they make the sides steeper so the pellets would slide into the auger opening easier. Just wondering?

@@plutobluto4258 not really...have already noticed what I call the gopher hole where the pellets feed down....only 2 cooks in so far...will know better once I do a long cook.
