That is a romanian Cugir Model 74 in 7.65/ 17 mm. The FEG PA-63 is larger and has button magazine release, unlike the Cugir that has a heel release. They are both inspired from the Walther PP with a duralumin body. The 9mm Cugir has a steel body.

This is not a Hungarian made pistol. Even the series and the markings on this pistol are the original Cugir factory in Romania. My own pistol is identical and is made in 1976
Northern California You know where I can pick up a spare mag for this or if another one is interchangeable?
What is the price of the chargers for that weapon?
I acquired one of these and it is marked "FEG Hungary" on the right side of the frame. That could have been done by the importer. The left side of the slide is marked COL 7.65 mm. Md. 74 anf under that in similar font, AL 6046-1980. The 8 is so faint it could be a 6 or 5, but I believe it is an 8. I suspect the AL 6046 is the type of aluminum alloy. The pistol is similar to my PA-63, but smaller. The trigger slap uncomfortable to the point that I will probably pull the hammer back and shoot single action. The single action trigger pull is beautiful. I love shooting .32 ACP and have a Zastava modle 70, Sauer and Sohn 1913, Beretta 1915, A French Unique, and a Jiminez. Don't know if this is Romanian. If so, that would be great to get confirmed. The guy who traded it to me added a Walther mag that does not have the last round slide hold open feature. I suspect Walther style pistol mags might have some interchangeability. 2 are good enough for my enjoyment.

The two pistols are quite identical. The Romanian one has no markings on the right side of the slide. The pistol in this video has no markings on the rght side of the slide, and the markings on the left side of the slide and on the frame are clearly showing that it is a Romanian made pistol. If you're from US, Century arms is the importer of Romanian firearms. To my knowledge, this pistol is not imported in the US, but it would not do any harm to ask them about spares and magazines.
I have te same exact gun and the frame is stamped FEG Hungary and slide is stamped Cal 7.65mm Md74 AL-5***-1980 But I can not find any magazines anywhere ? Anyone have any luck
I love mine. It has a nice tight, accurate pattern at 7 yards. What you need to know that he didn't show was to put the smaller end of the recoil spring down the barrel and the larger end goes into the slide or forward. If you have field stripped your pistol and it isn't cycling properly, check the recoil spring first.

Yes, the spring is mounted incorrectly does not the weapon. The MD 74 is a very good weapon. Better than the original Walther ..

"Carpați" e o poreclă. De fapt se cheamă "pistol model 1974 calibrul 7,65 mm". Și îl are în dotare și MApN, nu numai MAI.
