Do you know how many times a fan has been to a white artist concert and the same thing happened there is fans that has said irrelevant comments about artist. They never make that the main topic or base a whole news segment off of a very stereotypical comment like that its giving micro aggression. I know what that is. I don't need your advice on what I know. Thank you.

If I was Anita Baker I would ban that “fan” from attending future shows.

This isn't about Anita Baker, this video going viral is about the mounting boiling point over lack of consumer protections in America. Since COVID-19, US consumer dissatisfaction has skyrocketed, as giant corporations have stepped up defrauding consumers to pad their profits (on top of inflation). 100 people buy a service you don't offer, and you put enough hoops to jump through that only 85 of them get a refund, you just made a massive profit off those 15 who didn't bother. Probably a larger profit than if you had actually provided the good/service to all 100 customers, because you got 15 to pay for nothing. This is true for airlines, food, etc.

Ok, I'm not angry about her canceling, but I am definitely concerned about her the HUMAN. There has to be a reason for the canceling. If you all have been to her concerts in the most recent past, she was limping across the stage but she still showed up. We don't have a clue how much pain she was pushing through. Let's please look beyond the surface and care about the Artist, who just wasn't able to give us the best this weekend. I'm praying for you Anita Baker and I will always and still love you. ❤️

I think the problem was her cancelling so late. Granted the women shouldn't have said what she said but I believe you would be a little upset as well if you paid $55 for parking for nothing.

@tanyagonzales2976 But the Event Organizers knew she wasn't going to make it when she couldn't make it to soundcheck and rehearsals. It's being painted as if she did this purposely. It should have been canceled after no show of soundcheck the day before. We need to know the whole story before folks deem her as unprofessional. Which is not so, in my opinion.

Anita and her team are. Other artists who have done the same thing get the same blame. So why this time should it not be the artist fault?

That was such ignorance in that video!! Get a life, life is too short So it was canceled Life goes on. There's somebody that didn't wake up today!! Such horrible role models for the next generation of kids!! 😮

There is no parking here. It’s over crowded and they are still building. Everything is over priced like the whole city is full of celebrities and rich ppl.

Short of her suffering a sudden illness that required hospitalization or a tragedy in her immediate family, this was completely and utterly unacceptable. The event organizers and her have got to do a much better job explaining what happened to cause this last-minute cancellation. Sure, the tickets were refunded, but not the parking fees. People spend good money to attend these concerts; they are owed the respect and courtesy of a clear and verifiable explanation. Oh, and undoubtedly, the venue made lots of money on beverages and souvenirs prior to the scheduled start of the concert.

They also, include pay back clauses that assume loss of pay altogether, and litigation recoup "losses" due to breach which may be minor or perceived. Social media is a world of fantasy and manipulation. In my opinion, it could also become a PR shelter for predatory practices. Artists are not bad waitresses at Red Lobster. And your bad waitress at Red Lobster likely isn't being paid enough for her services, which won't make her happy. We are more empowered by spending our money than making sure our business transactions and livelihoods are fair all the way around.

Artists have to respect fans as well who spend their money and time coming to see them

first of all we know she has no right calling a a bald a*ss but i would be mad to if the tickets coast so much and i paid for it and evan bought a hotel and found out the concert cancelled or nah im sueing thease people like no fr and it did not get cancelled 55 minutes ago for his infomation it got cancelled 15 min ago

This is why I won’t go to concerts by artists from back in the day. I’m still a fan of their music, but I don’t want to see them live. Ms Baker had issues in her concert here in Memphis,and I was surprised she was continuing with the tour.

I see what you’re saying about seasoned artists, but not all artists from back in the day are like that. I saw Sade during her last US tour in 2011 and she was so professional! She started on time, sang SO many songs and is still the best concert I ever attended in my life. I hope she comes back but her last words at the concert I was at were “you’re not going to see me for a while.”

I’m glad I saw her back in 1995 back when she was still classy and elegant. I was 9 years old. That was my first concert I ever attended.

I understand her feeling.. I wasted money on Lloyd meet n greet I went to Ashanti show in fresno. his ticket was low so he didn't show up for pictures I was so disappointed but I'm happy meeting ashanti 😅😅❤

SMH! When she do another concert again, she need to give everybody a Free show. Folks Work hard for their Money, and when you have over 1,000 Fans, you got to Appreciate it, be Thankful that you have that many Fans, cause times are hard these days when you are an Artist, & there are some Artists out here in 2024 today that are Struggling to get their Career where they want it to be, and they Underated, don't have as many Fans as Anita Baker do. So at the end of the day, Anita Baker need to be Humbled, and be Glad that she got that many Fans, but she did Recently, I don't know how many Fans she gonna have now. I'm a Singer 🎤 too, and I would never do my Fans like that.

They were rude to cancel 6mins prior to start unless she was in the building and fell ill or had accident walking from green room to stage. It was a special occasion for the fans and some will have travel and hotel expenses and on Mother’s Day! Class actions needed to sue for losses.

Man who are these people talking about old artist these ways, respecting the old is not some archaic concept.

I wonder if Anita has stage fright or panic attack or hopefully not worse
