Pirate Camp Co tray storage - HGT Next Gen Ranger Raptor Build!
Were back at it in the garage with the next gen Ranger Raptor today. We are tidying up the tray with a couple of Pirate Camp Co storage brackets for the tub.
We ended up going with the original Pirate Camp Co molle pattern storage pocket bracket for the passenger side, and the 20l jerry can holder tub mount for the driver side. These sit in the dead space behind the wheel arches and turn it into usable storage.
I thought long and hard about what version of brackets to get. For me the original for the passenger side was the best option as my air compressor chuck and power panel is on this side and I want it to remain easily accessible. If you had the Jerry holder on this side, it would block access to these. This panel sits flush with the rear edge of the tailgate support and within the profile of the wheel arch.
The Pirate Camp Co molle pattern 20L jerry can holder tub mount for the driver side gives me the ability to carry a 20L jerry can. This is a great option if you don’t want a long-range fuel tank but a little more range for big trips. Also, more room to store gear when not running a jerry, for things things like my tool roll and recovery kit. The profile of this panel is very clean and tidy. It tappers in at the rear and sits nicely with the tail gate support. It does sit just proud of the wheel arch but not enough to be concerned about the loss of tray space.
Both brackets are laser cut with a good looking Molle pattern and a cool little Pirate Camp Co logo tucked in the corner. They are powder coated texture black and blend in with the tub, made from 3mm Aluminium so they are very light weight but strong. They have both left- and right-hand side options available. And best of all, Pirate Camp Co gear is Australian made & owned!
Installation is easy, just requiring basic hand tools. They are designed to utilise the factory tie down point bolt holes and the tie down points are still functionable with the brackets installed.
Pirate Camp Co are doing some cool things in the 4wd space. Their gear is exceptional quality and when you add in there good-looking designs it’s worth checking out.

Hey mate quick fix for your yeti. Ditch them and use the snow peak ones. 10x better and can double as a coffee cup that’s insulated when camping as well as a can cooler so it’s less to carry. They are legitimately the best thing I’ve found.

Another great video mate. Bye the way the bolts used by Ford in the Tub are actually Torx Plus (a USA variant that has a bit more bite in the teeth). My Ford dealer said that its a lot easier to break the loctite and get them out first time without stripping the head if you use the Torx Plus as opposed to the standard or security Torx bits. PS: I've gone the full deal with the Pirate Molly Panels in my RA Raptor on both sides including the 170AH battery and DCDC mount. All this fits in well with the Utemaster Load Lid after a bit of trimming to the side frame of the lid and raising the strut mount up 15 mls.

Thanks mate 🙌. That does make sense, I was thinking surely these bolts can’t be this bad. Nice, I think Pirate Camp Co have the potential to send me broke🤣 they have some awesome stuff out for these rigs.
