Yep, that’s a certainly a pip…but it looks like that baby eaglet is going the long way around. Looks a little awkward elongated like that. The other egg also looked like it had a pip on it. We shall wait and see. I’m so excited for this couple. Congratulations M15. & F23! 🥳🎉♥️🥚👍🏻😘

It was a PiP a couple of days ago with the downward angled crack even though L H didn't think so. PIp's having an outward bulge are more thought of as a PiP(by E inside Eggshell). but, at times than Egg tooth straight line or applying Mech Pressure on a Point on shell surface can cause a fracture-----Or a chemical deficiency in the shell material producing a deformed oval fracture surface(as here) can be thought of as a PiP also. And then the hatching E can use it's Wt and egg tooth sharpness to bring mechanical stress to a point and unite several sub surface non visible cracks into a confluence of cracks into a hole and a point of exit of the Eaglet from the shell.

Both are pipping - maybe we'll have a repeat of E17 & E18 hatching on the same day! Talons are crossed for these two! Thanks SWFL! ❤

Definitely a pip!

My observations are that the cracked egg is the second egg laid that an indent was first seen two days ago. If so, timing and lack of egg tooth activity would point to the egg being no longer viable. At 21:48 yesterday, it looks as though the first egg laid has the correct timing, location and appearance of a pip.

That would be a miracle! M15 is in his happy place with both eggs ready to hatch for New Years🎉🎉🥚🥚🐣🐣🦅🦅❤️❤️

Both eggs are hatching right now. Egg2 started first, but both are progressing nicely. Haven't had "twins" since Season 9, and they were the only ones. Hartched 1:45 min. apart, January 23, 2021. E17 & E18 were the ultimate success in delayed incubation. It is a bit chilly this week in SW Florida, so we may have to be patient.

It appears the battle is with the thicker outer membrane. I think we'll know more within the next 18 hours, Praying the membrane does not dry out. It needs to stay humid during incubation & that the eaglet is turned with its beak toward that exposed membrane so it can get a few jabs at it and punch through. 💓🙏
