I love his playing and his philosophy. Humbling to say the least.

There are as many valid approaches to Schumann as there were sides to his own personality. Fanny Davies and Severin Eisenberger are natural. Cortot rhetorical. Rachmaninov virtuosic. Igumnov introspective. Sofronitsky and Horowitz more disturbed. If you believe as I do that Schumann is eternally modern, Andersewski may revivify him for you. The Pole is never clinical yet he deconstructs the music and gives us an interior view. I love his recordings and this commentary. Thanks so much for sharing.

I have listened to and watched this video countless times and never get tired of it. I have sent it to friends and put it on my Facebook. The way he expresses his love of the music and plays it is priceless.Isimply adore hism and Schumann together. I don't find the music "'trés relaxante" as Allicja does below, but exciting and deeply moving.

Bruno is so right, how the performer plays, how he looks, his gestures is what makes it an emotional experience. That is precisely how I felt the first time I saw Piotr playing. He touched my soul in everything he did and the more I see of him playing, speaking about the music, the more I love the soul of this man. He is a performer who leaves me breathless.

I played with Piotr in June 2018...He is really the best pianist in the world!! I love his interpretations of Robert Schumann!!

I draw my hat off!! Such masterpieces of music and poetry to be reckoned and acknowledged by a deep musician. My adoration to Schumann!!!

Piotr speaks so much truth about Schumann's state of mind. He portrays so often the fragility of the person in his works, the sensibility, and indeed there's something sometimes ridiculous about Schumann, I guess it was his humour, his way of laughing at his own madness.

The Schumann discussed by Piotr is similar to the Schumann I think, but each person has a different musical sensibility, so it is accepted as one opinion.
