How do you like the jbl gto 6x9?

The ds18 is louder than the pioneer because the pioneer is midbass. The bass sounds a lot better on the pioneer. The pioneer will add sound quality to the music. So I can’t say which speaker is better because they have completely different purposes. I like midbass and midrange speakers because I like sound quality and loud music

Mike, I am a fan of Pioneer, but those DS speakers are performing very well and sound amazing ! I hear clarity, deep bass response, and imaging from that speaker ! Give DS their props bro they have earned it !

I was confused at first because the ds18 has a speaker looks just like the pioneer exactly with red cone. Plus compare even next time ds18 has one pro model too but the ds18 sounds good very close sounding

The pioneer sounds more crisp im assuming because of the higher frequency range but for my purpose im gonna go with the ds18 because i want more of that lower mid frequency. This video really helps to show the difference tho.

Hey Mike, you convinced me to get the pioneer 6.75 wanting to upgrade to an 8”. Should I get the puoneer 8 or what would you recommend ? Looking for a hybrid spl/sq system.

Do you any info on the DS18 PRO-M8.2NEO ? I am wanting to use them as a 2ohm mid bass in a fully active 3 way front. Mids and tweets are focal kx3

I know that for home audio pioneer is my favorite I've got a pare of HPM700's and if you ever get a chance to hear a pare you will understand why they go for 1500$ despite being from the 80's

I've always been a fan of the Pioneer Pro series.

I'm dumbfounded why Pioneer would discontinue one of the best drivers they ever made. (probably 'cause they can't lower the cost enough to sell at Walmart)

You need to do some power range comparison videos, 50w rms, 100w rms, and so on.. not everyone building sound off systems.

How do you wire these speakers to a 4 channel ampli? Do you need crossovers? I have 2 of these sets what you call 2 way component speakers and it comes with crossovers. I want to do 4 of those pioneers pro mids with 4 tweeters to a 4 channel ampli.

They both sound good but Pioneer sounds “better”…. But with the DS18 the mids are more focused in a more specific band allowing more control when tuning your stereo sound that’s consisted of other subs, woofers and tweeters. I’d say the pioneer is an option if you want a more fuller sound with less speakers.

It depends because it is not the same to have them in an amplifier and to have them with a good crossover and that ds18 is the same as PRV audio, only different brands

It wouldn’t in a system that has good sq subs and good xovers properly set with separated highs and mids and lows powered right and optimized for sq the DS would stand out more but if you just looking to upgrade from factory speakers sure the pioneers.

They're both geat, but the pioneer gives me the closest to what I'd hear from a band playing live. I've got coaxials in my 2 cars, no amps or subs with aftermarket head units and speakers.. I want to do a full upgrade on both with components in one to see if there's any noticeable difference. The DS 18 sounds like a good choice, just for the ease of install.

Out of those 2? Pioneer sounds BETTER. Louder not always better. With me? It’s Quality / Clarity in sound w the low deep boom

@@LIFEINSPEED Thank you very much Mike, well I already bought the Pioneer TS-M800PRO 8" and placed them in the back of a Toyota Land Cruiser series 90, with power I am quite conservative since I move each medium with one channel of a JL amplifier Slash 300/4 that barely provides 75 wrms each.JLW1v2 original box subwoofer of two 10" moved by a JL 500/1. I can't be happier, I'm anxious now to place those TS-M650 PRO in the front, which tweeter do you recommend to accompany them? I was thinking about some TS-20 that I already have. Looking for something that can put out the vocals clear and loud . And have some low end punch seems im really lacking with the speakers that are in there any kind of bass is non existent.

Why are you comparing a 8ohm to a 4ohm from the same source? of course the 4ohm will sound more powerful. Compare with the PRO-64XA 10th ann.

You clearly have no clue about ds18. Pioneer is good stuff no doubt. And I've had them all. I have a near 6000$ setup on my bike that would change your mind about ds18. Competing in May at bike week at thunder Beach. If you're there you can listen and you'll think differently.

Pioneer its not what it used to be back in the day. Pioneer its a expensive brand. If you do a basic set up with pioneer might as well just buy jl audio or infinity. Theres brands like timpano prv ds 18 skar audio down4sound ct sounds that consumers use alot alot more over pioneer. Every car set up requires diferent types of speskers.

Ds18 is no different than other brands. You have the entry level, mid level and high end. I run the new carbon highs and mids. And honestly you can make most sound good with good clean power. If you don't have that I don't care what kind of speakers you have it's not going to sound like you really wantit to.
