The Pioneer DJ DJM-S11 is the newer version of the Pioneer DJM-S9 that has an upgraded crossfader, bigger/more responsive pads, a better layout, and a hi-res touchscreen that gives the users a lot more control over their mixes.
The DJM-S11 works with both Serato DJ Pro and Rekordbox DVS right out of the box so users have a choice of which software they want to use at any given time.
There are 21 on-board Effects and Serato DJ/Rekordbox DJ Effects controls for the software. The DJM-S11 also has separate pad modes and dual pad modes so that DJ's can perform with more freedom.
The DJM-S11 has the ability to playback tracks on decks 3 and 4 from the mixer touchscreen. You can also transport these tracks to the LIVE 1 and 2 decks for full out control.

I am currently conflicted between the Opus Quad and the S11 mixer, which sounds better in practice, I always feel that the vocals are not as clean and clear on the Opus, instead only the bass dominates, even though it has the better sound card. Is my perception deceiving and is the overall sound really better than the S11? I would be very grateful to hear your experiences!

The sound quality on these is so similar that it is negligible. The Opus are for DJ's that want to use CDJ style control and the S11 is for turntable control. Pick the way you want to DJ first then pick the device you want to use to achieve that style.
Is a nice mixer but the screen to small for me confusing 4 Chanel is 2 Chanel mixer plastic I tarde my s11 for the xz beutiful machine

Unfortunately, reloop has not sent me an elite for this comparison... But I've used both and the S11 is better on quite a few different fronts...

Neither! The DDJ-1000 or DDJ-1000SRT are the best controllers Pioneer makes...
Thanks for your help about denon mcx8000 vs ddj 1000 I’ll get the 1000, but why don’t you recommend the denon? Is there some specific reasons.. -thanks so much

Yes, the MCX8000 is years older technology and nowhere near as good as the new Denon Prime 2 or Denon Prime 4. The MCX8000 is outdated now... Thanks.
I just bought a Numark Scratch, I know these 2 aren't comparable. But with your gripe on the price, imho the S11 isn't $1500 better than the Scratch. With all you get in the Scratch for $500 'd love to see Numark come out with a S11/Elite/72 competitor. I bet they could do it around $1k. Pioneer has been overpricing their shit for years now. They make good products and get away with charging what they do because people know the name. $2,000 for a mixer made of mostly plastic? LOL that's insane. The $500 Numark I bought is metal.

Numark could make something cheaper and almost as good but they won't because InMusic owns Rane and Numark, so they won't "shoot themselves in the foot" like that...
Wish you could do a side by side comparison with the 72.

Was going to buy the mixer but the build quality is a disgrace. Still plastic paddles, plastic case and still wont know if the ''Better paint'' wont get scratched. Rane will probably come with the features pioneer has. Will wait for rane seventy twe MKIII

I agree about the build quality... The plastic casing is a BAD design flaw IMO... Also, the RANE won't make an MK3... They will update the MK1 and MK2 to have scratch bank but there is no way to make them have channel 3 and 4... But it's not that big of a deal if you aren't using those other channels. They are very evenly matched. I still have both and side by side I like both almost equally...

@@RealDJblaze I'm actually pretty sure they will release a new mixer before the summer as people get vaccinated and djs have saved tons of cash to buy new gears. Weddings and clubs will be full this summer and hardware manufacturer want a piece of the pie. You give ma a rane 72 mkIII with similar build quality, a better screen, a dedicated loop section and smillar echo feature and there is no point in buying a pioneer other than getting recordbox compatibility. They could also implement some of the new features on a new version of the rane twelve for exemple the deck 3 and 4. Anyways, I appreciate your opinon but I still think rane is not done with new hardware before the begning of the summer.

@@Market_Engineer514 I have insider information on what Rane is bringing to the table and a new 72 is DEFINITELY NOT going to happen anytime in 2021... I speak to the head engineer at InMusic all the time, so I know what is coming and what is not... They just created the MK2 months ago and it can already complete with the S11, so no need to upgrade. The Screen is almost just as good as the S11 as well. Rane doesn't care about Rekordbox compatibility either, so that won't happen.
