I visited there in 2013 with some buddies, still my favorite place I've ever been to. I loved Borda Berri and Bar Zeruko.

Im going to say this is the most beautiful place that i have ever been to. Lived there for almost two years and just coulnt get enough of those delicious Pintxos. I

a fuego negro was probably my favorite pintxos bar when i was there, atari bar good food, amazing late night atmosphere, san sebastian, dope city check it out!

Awesome video guys. I had the pleasure of studying in San Sebastian for 4 months this past fall. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I could easily live there again one day. I actually watched your video on 24 hours in San Sebastian and some other videos on San Sebastian to help me choose where I wanted to study before I left. Thanks for the help. Maybe we will run into each in Sanse one day. From Souther California as well! Agur!!

They speak Basque and Spanish, almost everyone will speak to you in Spanish but even trying to speak a little Basque will endear you to the locals much more :) Agur!

@@paquinai solo una minoria? No se si sabes algo de historia pero el euskera fue PROHIBIDO por franco durante su dictadura aun asi se siguio hablando. En bilbao apenas se habla por la gran afluencia de inmigrantes aunque todo el mundo lo sabe, Dado que la inmensa mayoria va a ikastolas (es decir solo clases en euskera) por lo demas se habla bastante. Y en el pais vasco no somos como los catalanes, aki respetamos a la gente si uno no habla euskera todos hablamos automaticamente en castellano. Lo de los catalanes es una falta de respeto increible. Es mas yo he hecho un sinpa en cataluña por k no me decian la cuenta en castellano (aunke les entendia perfectamente) pork a un vasco no se le toca los cojones y pa txulo yo

El problema con la cocina en el Pais Vasco, es que se nos ha ido de las manos el tema. Todos apuestan por la "alta cocina", consistente en hacer platos pequeños, con materiales difíciles de encontrar, o normales cocinados con técnicas modernistas que rayan el absurdo; para así gozar de una excusa para cobrar de más por un producto que no te termina de alimentar y que no tiene por qué tener un buen sabor. Está bien experimentar y hacer de ello una excepción, no hacer de la excepción una norma. Pero bueno, cada uno, que haga lo que quiera con su dinero.

Ah, San Sebastián: they told me it was the fairest littoral city in all Spain. Well, for setting, agreed. That cute wee curve of bay with the mini-islands is, indeed, reminiscent of a small-scale version of Rio. But the city? The truth? For me, it has about 3 streets and Plaza Consti. to see, but the rest is nothing but a sprawling, apartment-blockey bathetic let-down. Lift San Sebastián up, plonk it 200 miles inland and it would be what it really is: a vaguely modern-looking nondescript town with a rather small, but not unattractive, Old Town, based on one mildly attractive plaza, and, frankly, little else. Unless you like the pintxos bars.
