Glad it was helpful! I always try to hear people's comments that become repetitive and create videos in that regard. And I kept hearing folks ask for explanation on this. These are the main types of videos I like to create because they have the biggest impact

I went through the exact same progression. Started with a #3 kafka, then to an xcaliber 00. The xcaliber I couldn't figure out for the intricate work, so I picked up a mack bobbo. And now I use a #3 drag'n fly pretty exclusively for both scroll and traditional striping designs. And I use a peewee for the long straight lines. I never made myself learn design with the sword/daggers so it does make some of the bigger jobs (semis and big trunks/hoods) a bit tougher, and I kick myself for that. But I'm getting better with it. Keep up the good work bro.

Depends on the manufacturers brushes too. I started out using Macks and Mr. J's Excalibur's...I recently started experimenting with another brand, and quite Franky, I fucking hate em...it seems their sizes are different than macks, and the longer handles. I'm just gonna saw the handles to size and shape em with a razor.

Funny. I have no big problems making Oldschool Pinstripe designs with a scroller, but I suck (in my opinion) most of the time with scrolling in general. I learned a lot from you. But I´m nowhere near a scroll design like you do them. I have some swords...but I rarely use them...because of the limitations with curved designs. Also, here in germany there is no big request on long lines on the side of cars. Most of the people here go the easy and cheap way with the cheap stripe stickers....

Quick question - I've recently gotten a couple of mack swords 00 and 000 and both seem to have what looks literally like a Cowlick in the bristles. One has a permanent up turn curly cue on the longest bristle and the other seems almost warped in the middle of the belly. Both of them act squirrely as heck. Is this a common occurence? Suggestions on how to fix the issues? Or do I scrap and buy new ones? Thanks in advance!

Generally this is not a common occurrence. What you can do is clean them very very very very well and let them dry completely. Oil them and lay them flat (giving them a slight tug to straighten the hairs) And let them sit for a week. Repeat as needed. If there's an actual couple of problematic hairs you can always snip them off with toe nail clippers or something

Thomas, I appreciate the heads up. I didn't realize I did this. I generally use a scroller for most of my designs and videos, so I sometimes assume people would have seen me demonstrate it many times. I'll try to make these videos as complete as possible in the future. Thank you 😊
