As soon as i learned of Jesus I no longer feared death. I could die at any moment and accept it but i'll still ask god each night for another wonderful day because each day isnt promised

I sooo want to do this at my schools poetry competition especially because we have to start with "Ladies and gentlemen" then the first line of this poem is "You are dying... don't panic" but then the teachers are the ones who give us the poem we will recite and even if I convince them to let me do this one there's a bunch of curse words :P well we can only hope

You should do it anyway. Just go up and read this one instead of the one the teacher give you. You only live once, when you leave school you'll realize that most things didn't matter.

Shane. Words need to be invented to describe the way your words can soothe the soul. That's what you're doing. Soothing our souls. 5 minute stories at a time. And I have no idea how you do it. And I'm completely fine with it. But most of all ... I'm in awe of you. You. Are. Wonderful. WONDERFUL.

Iv always had a big fear of death,as probably most people have,but hearing this actually made me feel better,I need to realise I am dying,but I'm not dead,I need to stop dwelling on the small things and go out side and do something meaningful. I am dying,but I'm not dead so what am I waiting for?

Romy Austin I think a lot about death but I've never really been afraid. I think grieving over someone's death is the same as a going away party but knowing for sure they won't be coming back. I don't think death is necessarily a good or bad thing. We just feel like it's a bad thing because we value life and we connect with people and don't like the disconnect of death. I think that fearing pain is more responsible for the fear of death than death itself.

I've watched this at least a dozen times, and I finally get the "creepy like stacker of Shane Koyczan" I laughed, felt like an idoit for not getting earlier, and laughed at that

Memories relived, dreams revived, and a past cherished...

i recently watched I Saw The TV Glow by Jane Shoenbrun and the phrase, "there is still time" brought me back to this poem, i think while on a lighter tone there is broadly a very similar message between this poem and that movie

Every time i listen to his poems it feels like the first time i told a page how beautiful a girl was. His poems keep me in the honeymoon phase with poetry. And i swear his voice is meant to recite just as ink is meant to stain paper. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way...

The way I want to die is a heroic way, probably saving a kid or helping some one donating something on me to some one who needs it more. I'm at the best my life could be at I have a girl friend, a little brother, a excepting family who don't care who i'm attracted to. If your at a bad point in your life don't worry you will have your low points and it will get better you just have to wait, it took me 15 years to know how lucky I am, just wait and soon you will know. ｡◕‿‿◕｡
