I definitely remember hiking up Maili mountain back in the 60s 70s. We lived not too far from this area. Best part, the beach is only a few blocks away. Maili point has one of the best Surfing and Shallows...class of 76. Go Seariders!!! Big Red and Blue.

Thank you for recording the whole hike! Most videos don't show the whole trail and it's hard to decide if appropriate. I wanted to try this but I don't like most of the way is so narrow with a drop off a few inches away!

Mahalo for taking us on that hike it's one I don't think I would try. We have trails like that here in Colorado unimproved. We call them goat trails because only the mountain goats and the bighorns generally use them!!

Great video. I first got it confused with Lanikai Pillbox hike. It gives me another hike to do when/if I visit in late June. Oahu has amazing hikes.

🌴 Aloha!~ Jennifer Stam 🌈 The trail to the pink pillbox is short and very easy, so you don't have to worry. However, after passing the pillbox, the trail is a bit dangerous, so don't try it. Mahalo for watching!! ^^ 🤙

Do you know the Koko Crater Strairs? I have seen this place in the series Hawaii 5-0. A cool place.

Are drones allowed on this side? I remember they don't allow it on the Diamond Head area.

🌴 Aloha!~ Ghitza Schnitza 🌈 There is a sign on top of Diamond Head stating, 'NO DRONES', but I didn't see any 'NO DRONES' sign at the Pink Pillbox. For your information, you can't fly drones in Hawaii State Parks. Mahalo for watching!! ^^ 🤙
