50TH ANNIVERSARY OF PINK FLOYD‘S ‘THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON’. OUT MARCH 24
Announcing the release of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ as a deluxe box set to celebrate 50 years since the release of one of the best-selling albums of all time. Newly remastered, the box set will be released on 24th March 2023.
One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ continues to find new audiences globally. The album was partly developed during live performances, and the band premiered an early version of the suite at London’s Rainbow Theatre several months before recording began. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in the US on 1 March and then in the UK on 16th March 1973. The new material was recorded in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. The iconic sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.
The new deluxe box set includes CD and gatefold vinyl of the new 2023 remastered studio album and Blu-Ray + DVD audio featuring the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions. The set also includes additional new Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix plus CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’. For full details see listing below.

agreed. Just pulled this up on KZread search to make a point in a conversation of what this song is truly in relation to. I cant even name my favorite FLoyd album From Animals to Wish You Were Here. I actually do have a favorite Floyd track, which I would think is the same as many old school Floyd fans: Bicycle. You are still missed Sid. Wait, whats that? Whos David Gilmore? OH right right. Hes that vocalist Roger Waters brought in for a bit right? At a show of the few years back Dark Side of the Moon tour, we were "lunatics in the grass" behind assigned seating. I had to PEE SO BAD!! Everyone else mezmoreized Im walking through the crowd completely focused on task at hand. I did not even know they had launched the big Pink Floyd Pig, much less that the started to lose control of is, say like right where I was walking down main big isle separating assigned seats from gen admition. RIGHT in middle of this otherwise empty walkway, ALL EYES directly on this, the pig COMPLETELY blindsided me as it totally crashed ON ME!!!! Didnt get hurt or anything but imagine being there at that exact time in a ''Pink Floyd State of Mind". and the FREAKING PIG CRASHES ON YOU ALL EYES ON YOU WHEN YOU HAVE TO PEE SO BAD!!!!!! The story is now legend in the Tampa Bay area.

Pink floyd, specifically dark side of the moon makes me reflect on a simpler time i never knew. It's very melancholy to think about, but also a very, "it's better to have loved and lost than not loved at all" type of appreciation.

[Verse 4: David Gilmour] Up and down And in the end It's only round and round, and round [Chorus: David Gilmour & Richard Wright] “Haven't you heard it's a battle of words?” The poster bearer cried “Listen, son,” said the man with the gun “There's room for you inside” [Interlude] I mean, they're not gonna kill ya So like, if you give 'em a quick short, sharp, shock They won't do it again Dig it? I mean, he got off lightly 'Cause I would've given him a thrashing I only hit him once! It was only a difference of right and wrong, innit? But really, I mean good manners don't cost nothing, do they, eh? [Saxophone Solo] [Verse 5: David Gilmour] Down and out It can't be helped But there's a lot of it about [Verse 6: David Gilmour] With, without And who'll deny It's what the fighting's all about? [Chorus: David Gilmour & Richard Wright] Out of the way! It's a busy day I've got things on my mind For want of the price of tea and a slice The old man died

Concordo 👍
"... and after all, we're only ordinary men." - no ego, no hubris, no hype, no artifice, no BS... just a bunch of friends having fun and creating one of the most significant works of art of the 20th century. Rock on dudes (RIP Syd and Rick).
I was in the navy when I heard it the first time… Pink Floyd brings me back when I was 20
The timelessness of this work of art is unmatched.
Probably for me the finest piece of music written in the last century
rarely has anger - against war, poverty and racism - been couched in such laidback music.
I love this album. I have bought it every medium it was ever recorded on and released. Likewise, I will probably buy it again as well. The LP wore out and got very noisy to play, it was played so often. The tapes eventually tangled. The CD was loaned out and never returned, he died, and I didn't have the heart to ask for it to be returned! I bought another, it was damaged when left in the car on a very hot day!

The Whole Album simply oozes from one song to another 😎🎶🫠
My favourite Pink Floyd song
Reminds me of my childhood
Pink Floyd cannot be separated by song my friend❤❤❤
Pink floyd 🎼 love for life ♥️🎸
Two young men going to war, leaving their families, not knowing what their fighting for, only knowing peace in death, never knowing love
The era of this band....They have my 1st pick. The layers of sound make it beautiful. - from a musician of 30 years...
What an amazing piece of music, it makes you feel like your flying though out the sky like an angel playing a saxophone
This song made me make my daughter take up playing the sacks. Been listening to Floyd since the 70's😊
Sorry I had to come back and listen to this after hearing the "Redux" version. Nothing can compare to Rick Wright soulful touch on organ and piano and he and David Gilmour singing together is just magic.
How this is so mind relaxing😊If youe there can you make this tune last for hours non stop to sleep and fall into a nice pattern.
Beyond incredible
First time ever seeing a song premiere for Pink Floyd
This is by far the greatest achievement from this awesome band. A masterpiece truly.
Greatest album ever

One of the most brilliant compositions of music ever made in my lifetime. Never a dry eye listening to this emotional rollercoaster. Pure Genius.
“Nosotros y ellos, y a pesar de todo solo somos hombres ordinarios” Pega duro
how they even came up with the concept for this album I'll never know, true geniuses and there will never be another band like them

realising that animal farm, 1984 and the brave new world are already the world we live in and are moving towards. Realising that we are ruled not by us and you but by them who do not share our goals.

@@Davethe-Ravenone of them took acid at all after 67 or 68 as they saw what it did to syd. Nice try but you’ll need to do better next time
Pink Floyd: simplesmente a melhor banda de todos os tempos! ❤
Mi canción favorita de este álbum, difícilmente es separar las canciones porque juntas son perfectas. Pero esta en específico como me mata, la amo ❤
Definitely a contender for Best PF song of all eras.
