Went to the concert in 1980, I was working in London and me and my wife went with some friends. The second time it was in London 1981 when we took our two kids. They have lived of that concert their whole lives. One now works in TV, 51 years old and the other works in Wales UK 53. It was fantastic and we have had the bug for big concerts all our lives. Even today at 75. You can't beat a singalong.

I knew. As soon as I heard those unmistakable guitar licks. No cover, no tribute, no copy. Back before 1980 no computerization. A real guitar hero. Bass, drums, piano, organ, synth, mike. No autotune. No digital keyboard. Just raw talent and practice, practice, practice.

Интересующийся Мне уже 60, впервые запал на них в 13 лет, это был Dark side of the moon, подслушанный у более старших ребят с улицы, бобинник, качество записи ужасное, если сравнить с нынешним, но вошло во плоть навсегда. А Стену впервые слушал уже в армии, в 1979 году, на купленном в общак простеньком бобиннике Дайна, даже цену помню, 115 рублей. И с тех пор их музыка всегда со мной, потому что PINK FLOYD это навсегда...

I remember when this first came out i was 8 or 9 years old. My brother took me to the shop i waited in the car and he brought back the cassette and he played this on the car stereo. Goose bumps .... that's what this music gave me. I can't forget the feeling when i first heard this song.

Date hate me, but I saw “the wall” concert 2 nights in a row at age 18 in London in 1981 (graduated from ASL- American School of London in 81’). It was like a lottery to get tickets so I sent in for both nights not expecting to get either. Ended up getting a pair of tickets each to both nights. Can’t remember why I could not unload the second nights ticket but was quite happy to go both nights.

Go and see Roger Waters then - he’s toured The Wall a couple of times since the original shows - he’s out on the road again this year. Saw him in 2001/2 and it was an awesome experience.

Es el mas grande e irrepetible disco de la historia del Rock, los vi en Venecia cuando se cayó el muro y en otros lugares, es una autobiografía de Roger waters que sirve para casi todos nosotros en nuestras vidas pero en lo artísticamente hablado es una maravilla que nunca se repitió en ellos ni por nadie después por la dura separación Waters-Gilmour, sus canciones consiguen desgarrar el alma con esas maravillosas y bellas canciones melancólicas llevándote a la desesperación como solo grandes como los clásicos y Pink Floyd saben hacer pero con un final esperanzador donde se rompe ese muro que debido a sus problemas le hizo aislarse y odiar a la sociedad, Waters, nunca conoció a su Padre (Muerto en la 2º guerra Batalla Anzio) ni a su abuelo muerto en la 1º guerra mundial. Gloria para siempre a esta maravilla opera del rock sinfónico.

It was then the beautiful 80s, just two years after I finished high school when I saw this Pink Floyd masterpiece for the first time and then something wonderful happened: each pronounced syllable of rebellious youth protest against the bullying of the teachers of that time, nestled deep inside my brain, then each musical note, each drum beat and those wonderful and electrifying guitar solos, in the hands of that genius who played it, each note of the electronic organs, each tambourine beat, each sound Loud of the bass, they all nested within the synapses of my neurons and became memorable memories of a happy past that will never return. Today, thanks to KZread, I see this musical work of art again, with the humorous representation of the horrible teacher, who was bullying his students, those neural connections are reactivated and I vibrate with happiness! Definitely, when the good becomes classic it is part of immortality. It will never go away! Thanks, Pink Floyd !!

В 1980 году даже по радио крутили - была такая передача по выходным, что-то типа "Музыкальный глобус" (по моему Татарский вёл) или как - то так. И пока не вышел "The Final Cut", где упомянули Брежнева в Афганистане, Pynk Floyd была вполне уважаемой группой в СССР. Даже готовили выпуск пластинки на "Мелодии", но Уотерс со своим "Последним монтажом" перечеркнул все возможности.

Once as a kid I stood with my mom in front of Michelangelo’s David in Florence. She told me that no one alive today can do work like this. 40 years later and I play this song for my kid and showed him a picture of the David. And o told him that no one alive today is able to create things like these.

When I bought my first sterio cassette player, one of my friends introduces Pink Floyd. I used to think how the ideas of making those sounds and the lyric would come to their minds! Pink Floyd is the one in one earth time.

Посмотрел запись этой же композиции от 2019 года. Да фарша побольше.... Аппаратура покруче. Но! Нет, этого изюма, который нас держит и не отпускает, уже, сорок лет. Это шедевр! И, переиграть его не возможно!

Да время не портит коньяк,талантов и их фанатов! С молодым поколением не приходит то,что было тогда - хорошее и кайфовое.Но,не будем критиковать нынешнее время и их Предпочтения,.Каждый "зависает "там где ему хорошо.

It was the year my mother left her mortal coil...I had hard times in my life from adults around me. This song was as if it ment for me to heal during my young days....now I look back this band was seeing much more that the only children going through which is child abuse in schools,home or people around them and pheodiophiles too.
