After 36 years don't exist better music and performance.

Listen to Guy Pratt's bass at 4:20... it compliments Gilmour's guitar perfectly. I cannot and will not go more than a few hours without listening to Pink Floyd. I am completely obsessed with their music. Started with "Dark Side of the Moon" at 15, and I'm now 63, and I listen to them more than ever. Just can't get enough.

I will turn 65 next February, that means 50 plus years of Floyd.I been blessed to have older bros that injected their (mine now)music into my soul.I cannot go more than a few hours without hearing or thinking in my mind one of their songs. Do I miss Waters,frankly No I will give him the respect he deserves,but David(aka God)truly is the catalyst of Floyd.Listen to the Pompeii live music and see if you dont agree. I personally would rather listen to Gilmour than anybody,if that makes him the best so it shall be.

I clearely agree I am 65 too and the Pink are for me a mythic band. I have preciuosly concerved all my vinyl from the origin. Their songs are immortal.

I am 69 last month. PF is the only group I listen to everyday. Other groups I would spend few hours a week are Eagles, Journey and few others.

65 in January and PF is still #1 to me... even when Syd Barrett was still in the band... I do miss the genius keyboard player Richard Wright - RIP.

Wow, 30 years ago and this song is still the greatest! Dave and his music is a legend.

David always does that great guitar work at the end of Sorrow too in all of PF and his David Gilmour tours. I love that. Not done that way on the studio version. He did it even in his 2016 David Gilmour Live at Pompeii concert and throughout the entire tour. I love this song. 💕

Maybe the best guitar player in rock's history, David Guilmoure. Nobody i mean nobody can play the guitar like David. He's in another level...

Marvelous performance of "Sorrow." 💖 At 59 I still listen to Pink Floyd every day. Gilmour is the most perfect guitarist ever, & his unique sound is unequalled, particularly with solos as in "Sorrow." Rick Wright & Nick Mason are prime, & this entire group is the greatest assembly of artists 💖💖💖 Excellent video 💖

So True their is something so soothing and super smoothe and just plain cool about Daves Voice,I have never heard anyone sing like he does on the seventies stuff almost lullaby like. I laughed out loud when i heard nile song for the first time! with him screaming his head off singing such actually Beautiful lyrics! LOL. Cheers!

its musicians like Guy Pratt and Jon Carin, that Gilmour used in most of his tours since Waters left , don;t get the appreciation that they so deserve , in my opinion they have done a hell of a job. Just to add to this Richard Wright is always a star and always will be, right Mr Waters ?

When I first watched this video back in the 80s, I was amazed at how much better Gilmour was compared to other guitarists. The sound, the note choice - everything better!

BACK IN 1998, THIS WAS a truly majestic work of art, sad and full of feeling and emotion, but in july 16 th, 2016, it became an accurate description of my inner self, after the departure of my mom, who died after 1 full month of struggle for her life , due to a brain hemorrage, with me as the only witness of her last stand at home, after being relesed from hospital when drugs began to have no efect on her decaying organism... I still can remeber the moment i sensed she was gone , even with her heart pumping, checked her eyes´reflex and no change in them, this song began to sound in my ears, and a wave of ´´sorrow´´ fell all over me like a wave, feeling i was running out of breath... it took me a few moments to say goodbye to her and giving thanks to her for all the years she took care of me , for all the years of happiness , laugs, inspiration, all i could do was to took her hand and stay there till she stoped breathing, just like doctors said it was gonna happen when the end would come... and it came... during her burial, i recalled this song when it says : ´´he´s haunted by the memory of a lost paradise /in his youth or a dream, he can´t be precise / he´s chained forever to a world that´s departed / it´s not enough, it´s not enough ´´ ... and i barely avoided breaking down there, it was too much for me, even knowing we left no stone unturned, i could not help but to think the all common thought of ´´is there something more i could do???´´ it still haunts me today.. nowadays, there are days when waking up is too damn hard for me, i managed somehow to do it, but in those moments the words ´´the sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land /plumes of smoke rise and merge into a leaden sky /a man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers / but awakes to a morning with no reason to waking´´ come to me and still describing me so accurately, that it scares me sometimes, i think there are some masterpieces that begin meaning different things in different times in our lives, they are the same, but the environment evolves in such way we get to think they were written for you , a work done by a true artist of tragedy, putting words and music into a human tragedy is some kind of ´´ nirvana´´ or a supreme expression of pain... it is not my mom´s song, but ´´my song´´... miss you so much, mom, can´t write anymore...

Damn!! The intro it's absolutely a masterpiece!! Pink Floyd are the master of the rock.

I've been to tons of concerts - the DSoT tour was the most amazing experience EVER.

Their isn't no one who can compare to pink Floyd.the greatest ever.

Thankyou for sharing brings back memories I was at this concert when they toured Sydney in 1988. Best concert I’ve ever seen.

@@chris55068 Saw this show in Ottawa 1988, best concert of my life. Or so i thought at the time. And then they totally topped it in Montreal in 1994. So fortunate to have witnessed such ultimate musical and visual perfection. Pink Floyd rules forever !

I just listened to this one (and my neighbors and a number of bystanders did as well). It took me back to the Stadio Flaminio in Rome, July 12th 1988. I distinctly remember one guy two rows ahead who, after smoking a generous quantity of some substance unknown to science, was totally convinced that he was flying. Or swimming. Or both, but at the same time. People all around also looked pretty much confused, and when the first notes of "Sorrow" were heard, we totally lost it. It had been a very bad day in a very bad year for me, but that night everything was forgotten.

This is music that strikes the soul and makes the mind wonder,great music Pink.
