"Sorrow" Written by singer and guitarist David Gilmour, it is the closing track on their thirteenth studio album, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, released in 1987
Drummer Nick Mason has since stated that the song was almost entirely written by David Gilmour alone over the space of one weekend on his houseboat Astoria. When he returned from the weekend, only "some spit and polish", according to Mason, was needed. Gilmour has also mentioned that the solo at the end of "Sorrow" was done on the boat, his guitar going through a small Gallien-Krueger amplifier.
Sorrow was a poem I'd written as a lyric before I wrote music to it, which is rare for me.

Another masterpiece by Pink Floyd. David Gilmour a legend and Godather of the electric guitar 🎸!
I was at one of the shows on this tour the london residency something like 9 sellout shows. I remember my seat shaking when this track starts with Dave's opening solo it hit me in the stomach. What power never happened at any other gig I have ever been to greatest show on planet earth period!

Same here. The seats shook with that note. What power. All in the hands of the master, David Gilmour.
David Gilmour es un milagro de la vida, la guitarra se vuelve una parte de su cuerpo, es un virtuoso genial, lo adoro, simplemente.❤️❤️

Nick Mason's best drumming ever in my opinion. Its almost like he is playing with a vengeance. (the album version of aMoLTr used a drum machine)
These remastered tracks are Outstanding!!!!! thank you , thank you , THANK YOU!!!!!!! God bless my Brothers and Sisters.
People either don't realize or have forgotten, just how big of an event the release of AMLOR really was. I was working in college radio at the time and we were constantly inundated with requests to play tracks from the album. It was a very exciting time!
what a fantastic show to witness and glad i was there- David Gilmour is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time- along with Alex Lifeson- Rick Wright -rip- fantastic keyboard player and vocalist along with Gilmour and Nick Mason solid on the drums as ever- classic music
The bass is so beatiful.

This is the best song they ever done.
Ouco Pink Floyd desde o início de tudo, e pra mim Pink Floyd é como uma terapia, é onde eu encontro paz para a mente e descanso para o corpo. É uma emoção maravilhosa e muito revigorante

David's red Strat from this tour was set up with the EMG DG20 pickups. They have more output than the Strat standard pickups used at this time

"Sorrow" Written by singer and guitarist David Gilmour, it is the closing track on their thirteenth studio album, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, released in 1987 Drummer Nick Mason has since stated that the song was almost entirely written by David Gilmour alone over the space of one weekend on his houseboat Astoria. - David Gilmour ADBLOCK LINK chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-%E2%80%94-best-ad-blocker/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom
