Brothers & Sisters of GOD'S Creations I'll be 72 next month, while I was leaving My high school years in the late '60's Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon was cranked up with My 100 watts stereo base whofers with 100 watts horn twitters in each custom built stereo system speakers on 3rd street N. of Tulsa University which the city transit buses couldn't drown My speakers so this was when Pink Floyd Music Ruled My street in Tulsa, thank you Pink Floyd!

That lovely crackle sound, I wish I'd kept my vinyl and tape collection, my favourite way to listen to this album was always in a darkened room, by myself with a coffee, a good bottle of cognac and a large cigar, no distractions, bliss. I did that for many years, this is still my favourite album, I'll turn 65 soon, I will celebrate that and 50 years on The Dark Side Of The Moon with another solitary listening session and contemplate the 50 years that got behind me.

Aujourd'hui je n'ai toujours pas trouvé de réponses tant mieux je ne me pose plus de questions. J'écoute toujours attentivement cet album intemporel qui a ateint la perfection. I was born Nov, 1959. I was 3/4 with they actually started. So! For all you 60s, 70s and 80s babies, Wrap you head around this: The origin of Pink Floyd is in 1963-64 London. Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason met while they were studying architecture at the London Polytechnic in Regent Street. So did keyboard player Rick Wright, and they played together in Pink Floyd’s predecessor, Sigma 6. Syd Barrett, an old friend of Waters from Cambridge who also played the guitar and was in London studying art, joined the band in 1965. They called themselves the Tea Set and played mainly rhythm and blues songs. In late 1965 they became the resident band at the Countdown Club in London, playing from late night until early morning, three sets of 90 minutes each. Now they realized that songs could be extended with lengthy solos. The name Pink Floyd was created on the spur of a moment by Syd Barrett, when another band, also called the Tea Set, was to perform at one of their gigs. The name came from two blues musicians in Barrett’s record collection; Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

"Haven't you heard? It's a battle of words-- --and most of them are LIES!" To be that young and to write this..this is simply brilliant! I haven't heard this played on an album in a while. It's almost like all the crackles and hums are part of Pink Floyd's repertoire of random (and not so random) audio they've added. My favorite has always been the out of breath guy clogging through the airport. Roger's lyrics continue to hit a hard homer with every listen, too. This is a true classic in every sense.

Beatles and Pink Floyd met in 1967 at Abbey Road, when Floyd were rookies on their first album. The Beatles invited them to come watch them record. Afterwards, PF recorded "The Scarecrow", and in my opinion, the last 10-15 seconds of that song is a tribute to the Fab Four.

Good vinyl has little in the way of surface noise & a quality stylus (eliptical profile or better) when correctly aligned with appropriate downforce, bias, VTA & overhang will improve matters even further.

You could spin that vinyl album all day and night and I wouldn't get tired of hearing it. 50+ years of listening to this album and enjoying it every single time only shows how well-composed and ageless it is in comparison to most popular music that has come out since. 😍
My Sister had the LP in 73. Fell in love with it.
Vinyl has the deepest warmest tone. Thanks for posting. A Lil EQ and I was back in my bedroom in 1985.
A classic from pink Floyd. And even today well loved. One of my favourite albums but at its best on vinyl of course. Enjoy your memories, special thoughts to you Laura.
50 years old yesterday! I was 8, I think I love it more today!

I sleep to this almost every night…..
I have been a fan of this album for 50 yrs. Have loved it from the first time I heard it. My cousin and I use to listen to this album all night when we stayed together. I have owned the vinyl, 8 track, cassette, and still have the cd.

What do you listen to the CD on though? You STILL have a CD player? OMG why?
С этого альбома , началось знакомство с Пинк Флойд в 1975 г. Лучшая группа всех времён и народов !
I love the light crackling as its playing, memories just staring at it going, round and round.....
I have always been into music and records but when I first heard this masterpiece I was only immersed in Disco and new wave back in '85, I we nt with my mom to a home she was cleaning working as maid, the owners were not in and so i put the record on in their hifi and magic started.
Love hearing in vinyl. I was 5 when this came out. I was listening to the Beatles & the Monkees on my little record player...but I'd listen to this on my parents stereo with headphones on. This sounds so good with the static...thanks to whoever posted this. 🤙🕊️🎶
50 year's ago,Darkside of the moon🎉❤🎉

Встретится в кушарах инета,чтобы приколоться бесценно.
I was logged out of youtube, came across this video, got in touch with life again for about 45 minutes while listening this album and watching the needle bounce along the album and hearing the most profound description of life....and had to log in just to say thanks for posting.....
Listening to this album on vinyl and alone and with a dram of Bowmore 15 in my hands has always been the "bliss of solitude" to me. (Thank you, William, for helping me out with some words).
Im thinking of being in Abby roads recording studio in 1973ish when this was recorded and I was 13. Could you imagine being in that studio at that time with all the artists who have done albums Durring that time period and how many Went platinum or more. How many copies of this album have been stamped and how many disk made of it? The numbers are staggering. And its such a masterpiece of its day. These guys did some really weird stuff on this lp no one else was doing still today 50 years later people listen to it in awe. Now I got to go fish out my turntable and the lp I had as a kid, my oldest son walked on at 2 years old hes now going on 41. Albums have a different feel At low volume it still sounds great.

Beatles and Pink Floyd met in 1967 at Abbey Road, when Floyd were rookies on their first album. The Beatles invited them to come watch them record. Afterwards, PF recorded "The Scarecrow", and in my opinion, the last 10-15 seconds of that song is a tribute to the Fab Four.
a little green light shone as we sat in a ford capri to listen... thank you.

In Nürnberg wird das im Planetarium gezeigt. Voll coole Optik zur orginal Musik. I Love IT!!!
This album got me thru puberty and kept me sane. It helped shape me. For me PF is/was the greatest band of all time. David Bowie was #2❤❤❤
One of my best friends had purchasrd the new quad JVC reciver which had a twin EQ, and we hooked up his two pairs of speakrs and I brought my speakers. 6 three ways, all with 12in drivers. We sat on the floor, in the middle, fired up the bong and we were off. It was amazing. You felt like you were part of the album. I'd listend to some Floyd prior, but couldn't get hooked till Dark Side.
Great bass sound...floyd forever...from verona italy 🤟🎸
