Pink Floyd · Another Brick In The Wall (Parts I-II-III)
Музыка
The three parts of Another Brick In The Wall joined together. I also used "The Thin Ice", "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Goodbye Cruel World", to make it seamless. It's a concept album, so it makes perfect sense to have all that together.
Give it a listen and enjoy!
All credits to the artists.

This album came out at a dark time in my life aged 15/16yrs. It was a life-saver - held me together for my school years. Always appreciating what musicians can do to heal the soul since.

@@elmonstro7852 in Framingham, MA in 1968 the Sudbury Valley School was founded as a direct democracy. the students themselves elect the staff on an anual basis, there are no grades, no grade levels, and every aspect of the school is governed by the school meeting. there is an interview with Dan Greenburg from 1988 when the school was 20 years old. its called "What Sudbury Valley is all about". Dan Greenburg has since passed on, but the school is very much still in business and has inspired others who often call themselves "sudbury schools". many of Dan's books can be bought directly from the school. [Part 1] Daddy's flown across the ocean Leaving just a memory A snapshot in the family album Daddy, what else did ya leave for me? Daddy, whatcha leave behind for me? All in all it was just a brick in the wall All in all it was all just bricks in the wall "You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still lady!" When we grew up and went to school There were certain teachers who would Hurt the children in any way they could (oof!) By pouring their derision Upon anything we did And exposing every weakness However carefully hidden by the kids But in the town it was well known When they got home at night, their fat and Psychopathic wives would thrash them Within inches of their lives. [Part 2] We don't need no education We don't need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers, leave them kids alone Hey, Teachers, leave those kids alone All in all its just another brick in the wall All in all you're just another brick in the wall We don't need no education We don't need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers, leave them kids alone Hey, Teachers, leave those kids alone All in all you're just another brick in the wall All in all you're just another brick in the wall [Guitar] [Part 3] I don't need no arms around me I don't need no drugs to calm me I have seen the writing on the wall Don't think I need anything at all No, don't think I need anything at all All in all it was all just bricks in the wall All in all you were all just bricks in the wall

I was in college on a spring day in 1983 in a business class with the windows open and this song playing. Our teacher appreciated it and wove it into what he was talking about. As he was finishing, he said his lesson was about to reach a crescendo, just as the song was. We all cracked up. A great memory. Ironic we had a cool teacher, unlike the one in the song.

This song, the “November Rain” solo, and “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac all make me feel like I’m in the clouds. It’s such an indescribable feeling, one that you only can relate to when you feel your body and soul leave and then you start to realize that everything is going to be okay.
Bought this concept album as a kid.Blew my Mind🤯The Wall was So Iconic!
Pink Floyd was spot on about the education and government systems! God bless you guys!
Nací escuchando Pink Floyd, y moriré escuchándolo.
Everyone who was around back then remembers part 2 being at number 1 for Christmas. The winter of discontent, as it was called. The first winter of the new Thatcher government. I was 10 and the images in the video were stunning- the marching hammers, the obscene monstrous teacher, and most of all, that tyre on a rope in the playground twisting very slowly against Dave Gilmore’s guitar solo. And all at Christmas!
They were the Gods. What minds, what skill. No one can ever come close to them.
That album is still 30 years ahead from us,think about it, they made a story, or a complete dream in an album!
