The Roundtable I don't know It's because of the leaks or fake Leafs I saw long ago I never too sure if that's even possible in one of the fake leaks or leaks that I saw Steven ran towards Rose which kind of makes sense in a way since we humans need nutrition to the gym and thus Rose's being regenerative a very very very slowly I mean I don't know but it's just a possibility

Funny thing is, I think pearl might me the only one who can do this. Hear me out here.... pearls are not like regular gems. They form in layers, collecting more layers over time. It's likely that each memory she showed steven was a "layer" in her life hence why there are other pearls inside her pearl. Each layer down is a smaller pearl. Steven keeps going down layers until je reaches the center, which in most pearls, is a speck of sand, dirt or a parasite, something that bothers the clam they are made from. So this event was the "parasite* that kept pearl from moving in and one she was made to keep silent on. Kinda neat really

Koalas are native to Australia, and the native people of Australia are Aboriginal people. I learnt about their dreamtime stories in primary school. The dreamtime is folklore about the creations and beginnings of time. Maybe Steven goes back in time via that hourglass thingy and meets Rose. Maybe he goes back inside Pearl's gem. Or maybe it might be more literal and he somehow meets Rose via his dreaming ability.

One word: FORESHADOWING

I think we'll get a reprise of Storm in the Room where Steven returns to Rose's room in the temple and demands to speak to Pink Diamond. He initially gets Rose, but after an argument, Steven demands no more deceptions, but the truth, from his mother's true self. Defeated and sullen, Pink Diamond tries to explain herself, but is cut off time again by Steven until she breaks down, crying, apologizing for everything... and Steven leaves the room, empty inside, not knowing if it's how she truly feels, or if the room gave him what he wanted from her.

I totally think that will happen. It almost has to, at some point he has to revisit the room, and there is no doubt he will want to see pink diamond.

We know that there is phone signal inside Pearl’s gemstone. If this is true for all gems, Steven could just do a video call with someone while they talk to pink diamond (or whatever is there) inside Steven’s gem. Then the writers could just use normal framing, after they’ve established that Steven can see everything that’s going on.

Maybe after we get the rumored Rainbow Quartz 2.0, that is Steven and Pearl really aligning emotionally, he could let her in for a return visit and see what's going on inside this gem. This gives us probably the hardest Pearl tears of the show and the possibility of a confrontation between Steven and his mother. Shit. To think the "Pearl has a phone" plot point would lead to such revelations...

Aii iiA Lapis's gem was trapped in a mirror so she couldn't reform. Pink Diamond's gem is trapped in Steven so she can't reform. I think Steven's life depends on the gem, and he can harness it, but if the gem is disconnected from his body (most likely killing him, like how Lapis' s mirror was destroyed) Pink Diamond is the one who will reform

garnet has also been shown summoning something from her gems. in the episode with the triangle building she summons that triangle to open the door.

i always theorized that Pink/Rose was dormant inside her own gem so that Steven could exist outside her gem.

You should just call her Rose Diamond

Even though 80’s Pearl seemed to not recognize Steven, she must’ve because Pink Pearl knew him enough to recognize her phone and text him about the truth. So previous forms have all current memories. Meaning speaking to Pink Diamond at her earliest form would in fact allow Steven to speak to Rose Quartz.

Steven cant poof , using your reference as steven and his gem are the hardware and his age powers and everything else is the software .so when he stretched for too long he basically proofed reducing back to his baby form.

OMG, THAT COULD BE HOW THEY DO IT!!! We do know for a fact that Steven can enter the body of other humans as seen in The New Lars. So, we could have Steven's Mind enter Connie to then go into the Pink Diamond Gem. (Of course, Steven will need to first learn how to put items in his gem and then remove them.)

I feel that Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz is still gone, her consciousness and body. I'd say the memories are still in the gem, but not herself. It's more like the gem had been rebooted for Steven and his conscious has completely taken over, yet some memories remain, because it was not needed to get rid of them for Steven to exist, as these were not aware parts of Pink/Rose like Pearl's various Pearls were.

pink isn't gone as long as her gem still exist (not shattered). That is why she said "I'll become half of you" "Steven has always been Steven" meaning every choices Steven made was all base on steven's feelings and thoughts. How he react, symphatize, and see the best in everything is part of his personality. It might have resembles rose's personality as other gems pointed out but it was purely part of steven's personality The only reason why pink steven said "she's gone" to white diamond is because Pink was no longer the one in control of the gem. The one who was in control was steven. The form that the gem accepted was the form of steven, That why when White diamond pulled out Steven's gem it form as Steven not as Pink Diamond or Rose Quartz Pink existance was nothing but a memory of its past. But it doesn't mean it never existed after Pink lost her PHYSICAL FORM. It shown that Steven was able to dream Pink's memories and suffering as he kept stumbling to places where his mother was once. if pink was entirely gone, Steven wouldn't be able to dream Pink's life as a diamond because those places were never part of Steven's life so there's no way that Steven should dream about those places at all, as if those was HIS own memories Thinking that Pink is still alive doesn't ruined the purpose of the show because she still exist through the existance of her gem. That is where the whole plot of Steven Universe revolve is because of her gem's existance The purpose of the rejuvenator is to RESET a GEM to its original form. You can't hide the fact that steven's gem original form was Pink Diamond so it was meant to reform back as Pink Diamond That is why they ended up creating this kind of THEORY after the rejuvenator accident. Because Steven and Pink are 2 different people that share the same gem. Steven didn't turn back because he's half human and was able to keep his memory but what really happened to his gem half where he can only explain "it feels as if I was back when I was a kid again" also gems are immortal só they can't die unless shattered but the diamonds can fix this

They can transform things into light and store in her gemstones (or they minimize the items into really small things in my headcanon), Pearl's thingies aren't originally made of light, they were normal objects that Pearl put in her gem.

I think this would be a cool route to take but it would be a funny thing if Steven sent, say Connie into his gem and we got to watch Steven doing stuff waiting for her to come out and we the audience get to see what Connie saw when she retells it to Steven. Kind of like The New Crystal Gems where Steven wasn’t present but was being told the story of what happened while he was gone.

Artbug 'Rosa' means pink and rose (both the flower and the color) in Spanish. There isn't an exact translation for rose as a color, so in Spanish it's just called pink. 'Pink Diamond' is 'Diamante Rosa' and 'Rose Quartz' is 'Cuarzo Rosa'

Maybe.... none of this will happen and we're crazy people. Buutt, it would be cool to see what's in Steven's gem! Also the episode explains the gem weapon thing, and how other things can be stored in a gem. That's pretty relevant. I imagine it's very different for different gems, though. I doubt Amethyst has everything organized. Probably just a big pile, or a few generalized piles of different stuff. Gets me thinking about the things you could do by storing stuff in your gem. Like if Steven went on a trip, he could store lots of provisions there and never go hungry or thirsty. Gems could use it to smuggle things, people, or other gems. Heck, who's to say that Padparacha or one of Fluorite's components didn't just put everyone in her gem and waltz past the Citrines pretending to be a high class gem or just by shrinking really small. I mean, think of all you could do with a gem that can store stuff. This could open a lot of plot holes if they don't apply some limitations soon.

I mean I dont see PD is in his gem. Pink IS the gem. But she cant cant come out anymore. I think it was mostly explained in the episode Three Gems and a Baby. But I bet if they somehow went in the gem they could probably see versions of her

Well she can't come out because she's mostly INSIDE of Steven, even just plucking the Gem out would leave a fist sized hole in his abdominal wall. Now, it could probably be removed with proper medical expertise, but who knows what kind of effects that will have on Steven.

I like to imagine when or if Steven dies Pink will be able to reform again.

I feel like the pat gem versions in the gemstones would still handle all the memories faced in the current, but they just haven’t really,,,, lived with them? Like in pearl’s case, the past pearl wasn’t confused as to who Steven was but she was still mourning rose aggressively. And then the very last pearl, said “sorry to make you come all this way” as in she k n e w why steven was there. Idk just a random thought

When Steven was crying “Blue diamonds tears” Rose was actually the one crying

Steven is supposed to represent children who have lost a parent. I think they'd be undoing their own message if Pink comes back to life/still existed in there. Her memories might linger but I don't think it's healthy for Steven to have her identity inside him. They have built this message of living without a birth parent (and no matter how kind and loving your caretakers were you're always gonna feel that emptiness in your soul) since the beginning and it's relatable to a lot of people who didn't get to know their own mothers. So bringing her back at this point is completely letting those people down. I don't want that to happen. Pink should stay dead.

I've always resonated with Steven because of this. My mother passed away days after my birth. I was passed around by my two aunts and grandmother, and eventually after grieving, my father. I relate to Steven so much, whenever he "interacts" or learns about Rose I tear up.. however I was really wishing that Pink could somehow come back. I suppose its because I wish for the reunion with my own mother, and seeing it happen to Steven would make me so happy. I don't know.. That's just me personally.

A gem hybrid and a human mix has never happen before. Therefore this is way different when a baby is born and the mom is gone. But mom's are still around by memories and spirit. And with Steven, same thing. But literally, his mom is still here, within him. She only gave up her gem to make Steven but not her physical self. She's can come back anytime she wants but she wants Steven to live with her gemstone.

yeah man . i mean poor kid has his stomach penetrated by a freaking object harder than most materials out there. poor kid must either 1 ,get the hang of that shapeshifting and put the gem in its original position ,or 2 acces a new form where he gets pinks full power and the gem gets back into its original position .thats why steven if so fat,if he gets slimmer,that gem would stab trough him

Well if he grows up it probably won't be an issue. Sure he's chubby as a kid now but his waistline wouldn't be any smaller/larger as an adult if he reduced his body fat%, especially if he built up muscle(like his adult form from too many birthdays indicates). Plus Steven has wolverine healing so he'd probably be fine.

Your stomach actually isn’t really in the middle of your belly, it’s higher up and toward the left, so the diamond point would be going through right under his stomach, probably through his intestines.

Most of the stomach is under the ribs. The part where Steven's gemstone is would be where is intestines are. Also, bodily organs can still grow around foreign objects. One final also is that Steven is still partially a technological being. In the final episode of season 1 "Jail Break", you can see what looks like circuit traces on Steven's body when he passes through the barriers in the jail cells.

Personally, I think the ability is a Pearl only thing. I mean, remember, they're meant to be gem butlers basically. So a gem with the ability to store things for their higher ups, have actual stored memories from their prior incarnations, it all seems like things that would be pretty useful and gives them more purpose than just a door opener or a trophy.

Tbh.. I have a theory that Pink is gonna return. I feel that at the end of the series, Steven is gonna finally figure out that removing his gem wont kill him, only render him without Pinks abilities. And I feel Pink may reform after the separation of Steven and the Gem. Reason I say this is cause, you gotta think about the corrupted gems they've battled over the years. Some could produce spawn, that didnt need a gem to survive. What if through this same form of replication, Pink could return, seeing as Steven is her spawn, and direct relay of her power, mixed with Greg's seed? Steven is still half human. He still has Organs. Why would removal of his gem cause his organs to stop functioning? He's not a projection from his gem with mass like the others. He's a human, with enhanced gem abilities due to HAVING a gem. So I feel she's simply inactive within Steven's gem, witnessing everything. Watch. I have a LARGER theory on this.

I do know for a fact that Steven would not be coming back if he lost his physical form. It was also explained that his gem's projection of light has been reformed into half of his DNA strands. So, it would stand to reason that removing Steven's gem would cause the DNA strands that his mother is producing to disappear; and take Steven with them. However, the fate of Rose Diamond following Steven's fatal poofing or simple death from mortal ageing (if/when it happens) is still a mystery. [She might come back after Steven dies. {And see what Steven was able to accomplish.}]

April I honestly feel it'll just pop out tbh lol. I know that sounds relatively simple, but it IS still a cartoon network show. I feel his belly button is beneath his gem, and it's just always under light pressure from the stone. Enough to where he knows it's there, but not enough to cause discomfort. I feel a small layer of skin may be holding it in place, but if pulled out properly, it'll only leave a red scarring ring from its spot. It may sting quite a bit, but nothing fatal. I'm sure they'd find a way

UADQ's Chamber that IS quite interesting to think about! But probably not likely to happen in later episodes, as Steven's death would probably be far too dark and shapeshifting seems far too simple. Also, since Steven is half gem, his life might literally depend on this gem means removing it would mean certain death anyway. Also also, if he's half gem, could he even survive without a gem, even if Pink tried to heal him? I don't know man 😥

People keep saying *_"SHES GONE"_* , but its weird. I heard a female voice laughing as soon as the Pink/Gem Steven and the Normal Steven hugging. Is she truly gone?

rose quartz reset herself to create stevens gem half, thats just the programmed voice, human steven and pink steven are happy and laughing because they know that they’ve always been themselves, knowing that your not your mom is a big accomplishment, why else do you think pink steven is emotionless until hes in contact with his human half, he is a hybrid, son of rose and greg, when mother gems give birth, they have to kill themselves, its just the nature, remember a pure gem and a pure human cannot fuse

I’ve had this theory for the longest time! I hope this is the case!

I've always thought that Rose/Pink is still there in the gems, like she's not present but she is aware somehow of the things that are going on through Steven, and if Steven dies/poofs then Rose/Pink would reform

That's part of my own theory that the rose diamond is waiting for the organic parts of Steven to die and then just reemerge as her rose form because she wanted on human lifetime to live as much of a human existence as she could and when that's no longer possible she'll just go back to living the life she had before. Though I know it will never be confirmed because of the dark nature of this head cannon it makes sense to me based on the personality that she's been presented with having

Yeah I know but there's a lot of inherit darkness to implications in the show of various aspects of gem life and to a gem normal human life span would be nothing so Rose would think of it as an extended vacation.

Wow that makes soo much sense I always thought it was weird how she wanted to have a baby with Greg . It didnt make sense to me that she wanted to have Steven but knew she wouldnt be around to enjoy him or guide him but that theory makes so much sense since she wanted to be born without a purpose and to invent who she was like she mentioned in that episode Greg the babysitter. Then pearl also mentioned how “she wanted this so much” when she was about to rip out baby stevens gem. Makes me think she meant that in a whole other way now

Hazel Nut which fits with her impulsive child and teen like personality that she's been presented with. Though I'm sure she would eventually grow out of this mindset which seems to be an interesting thing I've noticed. In between the jungle moon and pale rose flash back she aged mentally and grew at least double in size.

pink/rose isn't gone as long as her gem still exist (not shattered). That is why she said "I'll become half of you" "Steven has always been Steven" meaning every choices Steven made was all base on steven's feelings and thoughts. How he react, symphatize, and see the best in everything is part of his personality. It might have resembles rose's personality as other gems pointed out but it was purely part of steven's personality The only reason why pink steven said "she's gone" to white diamond is because Pink was no longer the one in control of the gem. The one who was in control was steven. The form that the gem accepted was the form of steven, That why when White diamond pulled out Steven's gem it form as steven not as Pink Diamond or Rose Quartz Pink existance was nothing but a memory of its past. But it doesn't mean it never existed after Pink lost her PHYSICAL FORM. I feel like the only way that would happen is if Steven was poofed and he went through his gem as he was reforming. Maybe his brain is constantly copied to his gemetics... along with his genetics!

Maybe pink Steven is Pink Diamond that said: She's Gone, only to protect Steven by White Diamond. If the gem had been reset, then when she was reforming she wouldn't have taken the form of pink diamond and rose quartz, because the gem wouln't have the information

I think each time a gem takes up a new appearance via reformation, another "layer" forms in the gem. This episode also shows that gems have some type of consciousness within their gem when poofed. I believe this is why gems have varying times they take to reform; they're considering their new appearance and checking for efficiency. This would explain why period and lapis reformed so quickly; they knew what their appearance would look like, because taking time to make a new form would be a liability on homeworld.

Your theory makes sense but I believe that this is the same as lapis when she was trapped in the mirror, except in this example pink diamond is lapis and steven is the mirror. Pink diamond, just like lapis (when she was in the mirror) can’t reform because she is trapped in an object (steven). In that case, pearl’s theory from Three Gems and the Baby was correct And no I didn’t copy the idea from other comments

Please, make a vid about the diamonds weapons/powers. Cuz obviusly diamonds can summon weapons and shapeshift etc. I would be really fun to hear your opinions about this!

I personally think pearls would be the only ones able to have different levels like our pearl does because I think of them as walking filing cabinets as well as advisors, normally storing information and items for their owner so they shove the rest of their personality down below that (leading to the many layers of pearl). She's always been good at compartmentalising

going by the computer analogy. i think when she "became" rose, part of her gem became partitioned off from the rest, containing part of her power, and core memories, and therefore, in the room, using its power, she was able to materialize and ACTUALLY talk to steven. thats what i think.

This is something I’ve wondered for so long. Like if Steve got poofed, I always thought maybe rose would manifest back depending on the severity of the damage he sustained.

I think that pearls can store things in their gems, but pearls were never intended for combat so our pearl just puts spears in her pearl to make up for not having a weapon.

I think Stevenception is definitely a possibility! I've also wondered if something similar to "Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service" may happen, ie. Steven uses his dreams & empathic ability to unpack his complicated feelings about his mother, perhaps confronting some internal version of Rose/Pink.

I think it would be awesome if Steven could find a way to go inside his own gem and finally meet both versions of his mother face to face and just talk.

I sincerely hope that this happens or more light is shed on Pink's intentions. It's a cool concept that will definitely add to the lore if the Crewniverse go that route P:

At least six times Steven has seemingly rhetorically asked for something, and either Rose's Room opens up (RR, Catch & Release, Storm in the Room) or Lion's turns up knowing what to do (Lion 3, The Return, Lion 4). Since what happened to Rose doesn't fall within the SU canonical definition of death for a Gem, I've felt that Pink/Rose's consciousness is locked away inside of her gemstone, unable to communicate except by permitting access to her room or sending Lion.

I've had this theory that steven is sort of a cyborg, and the steven half is completely organic, but he is able to use the gem half because the "mind" in the gem is dormant, and if/when rose gets reawakened they will coexist sort of like a fusion

I think rose is at least somewhat still present. if you remember the beginning of storm in the room, steven says that he wishes he could meet the real rose, and then immediately after his gem glows and the door to Rose's room opens. he seemed surprised that that happened and he clearly wasn't trying to open the room and even states that he doesn't know why he didn't do it sooner. steven never even seemed to think of using the room in this way. I think pink was trying to help out her son in this moment

Stevens Gem is like a memory stick and steven is the computer he needs to find the location to access the file or sleep to access the memory

This makes a lot of sense to me. Particularily when you think about how intensely this show works as D.I.D. (dissociative identity disorder) representation. (and it honestly does feel like someone in the crewniverse has personal experience with DID and that this is not an accident) Especially many fusion episodes and also A Single Pale Rose. The way that past Pearl's live inside Pearl in various depths of her innerworld but can have an effect on her present world is very much how someone with DID can function. I have always seen steven in a DID way, in that he's him, but he's also someone else. And if the creators are exploring this and showing what more of what that means for steven psychologically, than the most logical step following the patterns of the show, would be to show it the way someone with DID could go about trying to meet their alters and communicate as a system. As in, going inside to find them, just as you described steven's brain going into steven's gem. I know my writing is a bit convoluted and i don't know if this makes sense if you don't have DID but i know a lot of su fans do, so hopefully someone gets this. ha.

I think of Steven in relations to his gem like that of Lapis and the mirror. One powers the other. Pink’s gem essentially powers Steven like how Lapis powered the mirror. But in Steven’s case that bond is permanent.

Fact. When You Delete A File On A Computer It IS NOT Destroyed Its Just Put To A Setting Where It Can Be Overwritten. Thus Some Or (maybe) All Of Pink's Memories Are Still Intact. Sooo Pink Is Probably Still There.

I like the factory reset analogy a lot. It also seems like any memories/visions Steven has of Pink Diamonds past are affected in some way. If you want to continue the computer analogy, think of it like wiping your hard drive completely upon the "factory reset", but there is still residue data that may be recovered by experts (or could be stumbled across accidentally). This would explain the "alterations" to Stevens vision-memories of PD. The one on the Jungle Moon used Connies memories of her mother as a "canvas" and the one at the moonbase with Lapis used the surveillance orb as a "canvas". This of course would mean that Steven would be incapable to access PD's memories like he would his own. Instead, your idea of a Steven-ception might actually be the only way. Either that or, if that proves to be impossible, Steven will have to work with Pearl and her account of past events if he wants to know anything about his mothers true nature, which will be an enourmous drag for all involved parties at the very least.
