PINERY PROVINCIAL PARK Camping, Tour & Review | Grand Bend, Ontario

It was our first time camping at Pinery and we loved it. I hope this video can help you if you're visiting - and feel free to let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.

    Another great in depth camping site video! I like this place more than the last one. Much more wooded spots. Spacious enough cap sites but, secluded enough. I love the beach access. This place has an excellent amount of amenities. Cool that they have river side options. Always gotta have a delicious beer. The hiking trails look nice. Another great video.

    you guys have a really nice camping set up! The dunes beach looks beautiful and I love how it doesn't look crowded. Their park store really does look like they have a great variety of things. you're right, the water does look like you're somewhere in the Caribbean! So cool that you saw a beaver swimming. So cute! nice that it's so close to Grand Bend.

    The Pinery is a wonderful Provincial Park. We've camped there several times, although not for many years. Grand Bend is an enjoyable little town. Very touristy, it reminds me a little bit of Niagara Falls. Lake Huron is SO much different than Lake Ontario here at home in Lakeview (Oshawa). Grand Bend was our first family day trip after things started opening up again back in 2021. I love Ontario's west coast!🙂

    I was camping a few times back in the day but back in 2015 a co worker said u should try the pinery so me and the wife did and we got the camping bug because of it, now we will be around 30 ontario parks seen by the end of this year, alot of people say if you like pinery then you'll love killbear. I also found presqu'ile to be sorta like the pinery lots of everything to do.. i know you said you will be releasing a video about your trip to grand bend with the food and drinks but I'm hoping we'll you were in port Frank's you stopped at Grogs and ate someone told me to go there and try the pizza and every year when we go to the pinery we stop in for food. We were just there a month ago for the free day use day. Always a joy at the pinery Also on Sundays their is a wicked outdoor market between grand bend and the pinery called the pinery market. Who knows maybe its in your next video . Love the videos and enjoy the rest of your summer..cheers

    Thanks so much!! Pinery was amazing and we did Presqu'ile last year but in the off season so I'd like to go back when it's all open. I think I have Killbear for later this summer. And unfortunately we didn't get into Grogs, it was wayyyy too busy when we went so we kept going and found Stonepicker Brewing Company which was a good consolation option 😅

  • @Volkoron
    @Volkoron Жыл бұрын

    Grand bend as a town kind of sucks it's always busy during the summer and it's difficult to navigate with how many people are there. It's also made more difficult by the one lane of traffic at the intersection of the main drag. If you need groceries you are better off going into forest which is about 20 minutes away and far less busy. The pinery is a great park and shares a border with a huge scout camp called attewanderon

    Love the park but so much poison ivy! We had it on our site in Riverside 1, along the entire left side of the trailer and surrounding the path to the hydro pillar. I'm surprised Burley was open, it was still closed a year ago today when we were there. 100% recommend bikes, we biked the entire Savanah trail. Also recommend doing a mid-week trip. We did Thurs to Sun, and by Sat, the ice cream lineup was 20 minutes long and you couldn't rent a kayak/canoe. I also recommend that people switch their phone to 3G service, to better access data. And for really blue water, head to Bruce Peninsula National Park. Your size trailer is perfect for the sites!

    There really was a lot of poison ivy. The path to our electrical pedestal was full also, so my hubby plugged us in since I was wearing sandals 🤦‍♀️ I'd love to bring a bike next time. We've been to Bruce Peninsula to the Grotto once but never camping. That would be so fun and our tiny trailer can pretty much fit anywhere 😅 I'm going to have to look into it, think they got a new booking system from what I saw on Facebook.

    What a great campsite you found there. The beach looks amazing even with some dunes! I saw a mark that dogs aren't allowed. Are there separate campsites where dogs are allowed? The older comfort stations looked nice as well! Quite some services with a restaurant and a little grocery store. Have a great Sunday!

    It looks like a great park to spend a weekend or even a week. Was it difficult to make reservations? Out here in BC, all of the parks sell out almost as soon as they open for reservations. I'm quite surprised by the color of the lake - it looks like a neat little lakeside town to visit!

    The camping spots open up 4-5 months in advance and we just wait to book them. They do not all get sold out immediately, mostly the waterfront ones, electric ones and cabins get booked out very very quickly especially if it’s a very well known/beautiful park closer to Toronto

    just watching your video and we are from oshawa and we were at that exact site last year. what are the chances in a huge park like that. looked family so looked it up. we spent a week there but was horrible traffic getting home. took 3 hours just to get to milton and then took 407 fell there. Hubby didn’t think it was worth it
