I love how the first wet on wet wash blurs the pine branches into the background behind the pine cone. Then everything else in the painting pops forward. Another awesome piece!

Maria, your pine cone is very realistic. I think your prearation sets you above the rest. Just beautiful. This is a great lesson in patience as well. It shows that you treat each layer as if it is the most important!

Thank you love, yes...very wintery scene haha the color combination makes it very cold as blue is a cold color💕🌹I was trying to warm it up with a pine cone, adding warmer colors such as Imidazolone Brown ❤️☺️💕

Very nice,those black velvet brushes are pretty sweet,I bought some Sterling Edward brushes and am pretty happy with them but I might have to invest in a nicer liner brush.😀

Hi Thank you!☺️Honestly I am in love with "Black Velvet" brushes... they are soft but perfectly not too soft, they are longer at the end which I loveeeeee, perfect perfect for painting leaves, flowers, branches, hair, fur etc😀

Your work is inspiring me to get back into watercolour after a long break. 😊 Can you please tell me what the difference is between washi tape and masking tape? Also it looks like you don’t pre stretch your paper. Is that correct, and if so, do you need to flatten the finished work?
