Pinball Arcade - RoadShow

4:20 Moonwalk'ed over from the habitrail to the outlane; you do NOT see these often!
What a fun table. I can't believe I missed out on playing this machine; unfortunately, it was out of order. That was the only time I saw it.
Thanks to Farsight Studios, Williams, and Carlene Carter!

I had played this table over twenty years ago. Now that it is in the Pinball Arcade collection, I am in love with this table. Can't wait till it hits PS4.

I like the little winks to other Pat Lawlor pinballs like Earthshaker, the Twilight Zone aliens and all. :D

Funny enough, this was the first pinball machine I ever played on back when I was young. There's something about the premise of it - and the fact that it has so much replay value, as others have said. So I'm glad I got the chance to buy it in Pinball Arcade when it was available.

There are references to Whirlwind, High Speed, Twilight Zone and Earthshaker in this pinball. Awesome!

John Koudounis Pat Lawlor designed some of the most ingenious tables ever. Whirlwind, Earthshaker and Twilight Zone were all his. And he claims that High Speed (designed by Steve Ritchie) is his favorite pinball table. Even the tables that weren't particularly successful (like Safecracker) are still full of clever ideas and innovation.

I think the reference to Twilight Zone may be the “aliens” you have to exterminate in Seattle, and those aliens also appear when the match screen comes up at the end of a game of Twilight Zone.

This game is supposed to have two spotlights shining on the Red and Ted faces. Even with this high contrast they should be very visible.

Shame you never got to San Fransisco or Los Angeles. I've only ever made it to the west coast twice, and I got Seattle both time. Was really hoping to see the other two.

This is definitely one of the better releases in Pinball Arcade. Very deep and fun game with lots of replay value. They should just stick to releasing DMD pinball machines with their cool toys and gimmicks, their deeper rulesets, their better themes, their better table layouts, their DMD, and their superior gameplay. I'm tired of shallow crap like Xenon and other crappy tables from the late 70's and early 80's. Then again, there are a lot of cool alphanumeric tables from the late 80's.

+dustygrady Xenon is perfectly fine for me and a lot of people. I actually wanted more EM tables, like Ace High, and Gottlieb Atlantis.

I have to disagree - they do their job well as pinball preservationists and I'm glad they do everything they come across. I love playing all of the tables, including simpler EM tables, and having them present in the challenge/tournament sets makes for a nice mixture of paces of game.

Advice in Features: New York City: Haha. Shoot the bulldozer and if you want to, shoot the bunker then let it land on the Magic Standup. Miami: If you have the ball in your left flipper, shoot the right loop to send the ball into the Jet Bumpers. If it's in the Right flipper, send it to the bunker, let it drop at the magic standup target so it feeds back to the left Flipper and you can shoot the right loop. Atlanta: If you get this, I hope you can hold the ball in the right Flipper. If so, shoot the spinner if you want to buy some time, or the left loop for a chance to get the Double Hurry-Up Bonus. If you can't, just shoot the Blast Targets and end the feature......it's a very easy shot. Ohio: Shoot the right ramp with the Left flipper as soon as the feature begins, then shoot the left ramp. Or, shoot the spinner then let it drop at the Magic Standup to spot a Ramp Shot. New Orleans: Shoot the Ramps. And always aim for the right loop, not the left. Nashville: Shoot the Bunker, then let it hit the Magic Standup. Not much other advice I can give here...... Chicago: Nothing to say. Shoot both ramps, then the right loop, and finally the Bunker+Magic Standup. Dallas: Same as New Orleans. But do go for the Bunker+Magic Standup Combo if you have trouble with it. It spots 2 shots! Kansas City: Get the Skill shot, then aim for the bunker again and again(Don't forget to hit the Magic Standup Target!!) Minneapolis: Bunker then Spinner. Easy! Just be careful not to hit the blast targets...... Albuquerque: Unless it's your final ball, DO NOT TRADE SOUVENIRS. You'll need them for as long as possible. If it is your final ball, trade them all and collect your well earned Bonus. Denver: If you have trouble shooting the Left Ramp, just go for the Spinner+Bunker. There's no other advice I can give on this one. Butte: Shoot the Start City Hole, then the Bunker+Magic Standup to complete the feature! Vegas: Just keep shooting the bunker and make sure to collect a reward from Magic Standup Target just before the time runs out. Salt Lake City: Let the ball drop in the left flipper then Hit the Bulldozer. Construction Mania: Same as Miami.

this one is creepy. I get they're trying to recapture the popularity of Funhouse but Funhouse was supposed to be a bit creepy so the dummy head worked. This one it just feels surreal in a bad way.
