The A350 is amazing it is so comfortable and smooth during the flight. You don't feel it banking and take off and landings are very smooth even during winds. You only feel turbulence when it is very bad and even then in the cabin it feels like it is slight turbulence. I would fly these aircraft every time I fly and would choose this aircraft over any other airbus and any other Boeing aircraft.

Looks ok but the nose wheel is too far forward... looks like it was tacked on at the end. Aesthetically it would look better if it was about another couple of metres further back. Same as the A380, which also looks like the nosewheel is too far forward and spoils the looks.

Not gonna lie I hate people who say things like "If it ain't Boeing, I'm not going." I do prefer Boeing but I'm not gonna go out of my way to get on one in most cases. (except for airline cabin products, & I'll probably pick a 350 or 787 for long haul) If I'm just gonna hop on some plane for some 3-4 hour flight like I usually am, both Boeing and Airbus have extraordinarily well proven aircraft.

firmly believe that Airbus engineers have in mind that competition creates new forms and development of aircraft models. But we still do not take into account that the premise is the supply and demand of such aircraft. For this it is necessary to be definitely revolutionary. and take the first step towards a global integration of the global air market.

+Taydrum. While it's an impressive aircraft, the A380 is very expensive commercial flop. Airbus will never recoup the $15bn development costs. It's only just started breaking even on individual aircraft sold. The big question is, which will end first - the 747 or A380? My money's on the A380.

Couple of questions :- On all airbus the the pilots stick control is on the left and the 1st officers is on the right. This I assume leads to the pilot becoming left hand sensitive yet the 1st officer right hand; so if/when they have to swap/retrain/get promoted to the left hand seat how much of a brain 'retrain' does it require to acquire the appropriate sensitivity ? Secondly, what's the washing line hanging off the rudder for? Great looking plane!

In general across all Airbus planes in service, during the "Captain's upgrading", the pilot spends about a month in a simulator getting used to the sidestick in the Captain's seat before doing the PICUS hours, mostly as it takes them quite a bit of time to get used to the mirrored controls. That said, a fully experienced Captain would be able to fly in either seat and have full ability to control the aircraft.

It didn't really matter it isn't so hard on Boeing planes you will so plenty of almost all flying one hand on yoke and one on the engine's levers they will use the left hand even if right hand for they would struggle to reach engine's levers and there hands will be crossed so this left/right hand is the same basically

I'm not convinced he was ever airborne. There's a few simulator shots, but nothing to convince me he was ever airborne in an A350. Most of it looked like stock promotional footage.

Dean Fuller interesting comment. It didn't occur to me he may not have flown left seat. Looked genuine. Nevertheless, I analysed the footage (I know...nerd:). He most definitely did fly left seat in F-WWCF 👍🏼

And does it really matter? No. The whole point was a showcase, not if he flew or not.

Dean Fuller No the proof is that crappy landing....he forgot he was in something that sits 20 feet above the ground and came in like he was in a citation....

What's wrong with the A320 :) More landings and takeoffs and would just like you to know you are exactly were I wanna be in 5 years :D

+Nick Cockayne How can you be sure. Pilots are not to choose their aircrafts as far as I am concerned.

+H171001 Here at BA provided there is a vacancy and you have the seniority, you can move onto whichever aircraft you like via an aspirational bid every training year. In response to the previous reply, I'm a little bored of the A320 having flown it for a while now and long haul rosters would suit my lifestyle better

Nick Cockayne Great to know, thanks for the reply. Good luck with your career. My dad is a flight instructor and he's (almost) a little envious of the guys switching to the A350 ;-)

Novo Eduardo AC from a passenger perspective, there’s literally no difference on the inside, the A350 and 787 have the same seating configuration (for the most part) of 3-3-3, although the A350 is a couple centimeters wider, and the cabin ceilings are taller, the seats are pretty much the same.
