Well, the intro and title had me going for a minute or two with great enthusiasm, then I realised it was for another lovely flying couple! Man, I just love Chelsea's beautiful smile and gorgeous face! ❤Yup, she's a real romantic. (just like me) A superb 10/10 production Josh, you are a master story teller. Superbly planned, executed and captured for the happy couple. I'm a photographer and pilot too, but haven't flown now for over 12 years. Yeah, it hurts... Cheers from New Zealand, David.

I love your last remarks about planning and executing. I had my private 6 month ago. I planned a Class B (SeaTac - KSEA) and I knew that at 2am the thing is dead empty. Tower gave me the clearance and I did some touch-n-gos there. Even my CFIs never did this. Mission accomplished. Thanks Josh!

Another great episode Josh! It's great to see how aviation can get a crazy time-limited mission like this done. Absolutely agree with your final words. 💯 The approach into Austin made me again aware of the big differences between US and European VFR flying. Getting vectors from approach and being allowed to enter class C with just two-way radio contact, remains a "wow" for me, each single time.

My wife and I were raft guides in Big Bend. Three weeks after we met I proposed to her on the top of Big Hill (steepest grade in Texas) right at sunset and overlooking the Rio Grande. That was 36 years ago and we're still going strong. Best wishes for a long and happy life together! BTW, when you departed ABIA to the west you flew right over Pilot Knob, which is actually an extinct volcano. It has the big white water tank in the center of the crater. (we settled in Austin). I used to fly GA and have departed on that runway when it was a military base, and we had to wait in line behind some truly enormous aircraft to go do touch and goes down in Lockhart and San Marcos. Fun memories!

Dang it Josh, I was hoping it was you guys! ;) Great video. The cinemaphotography and the music selection was great, and really complimented the story you told so well. Plane English is great also! I started flying out of an non-towered airport and had 20 years of a different phonetic alphabet I had to break the habit of using. Plane English has been a great help, and its cheap quick lessons when I have free time.

Fabulous Video. I lived in Corpus and Houston but never been to Marfa. We are planning a trip to Tucson in January, and I think we will make Marfa a stop along the way after seeing your great video.

I thought you're going to propose in the air :D I haven't watched you for a while, but I have to say the way you modernized your 172 is truly impressive with all the digital displays and the autopilot and whatnot :D I'm sure with some series, anime or whatever everyone feels some kind of utopistic vibe... Well I feel the same with your videos, they make me relax big time. I'm sure you've got problems in your personal life, as everyone does to a certain extent, but man this is just next level how calm, determined, and professional you're. The aviation culture is a lot different in the US than where I live in Central EU, so I sadly will never get the chance to experience it this way, but maybe someday if I relocate to the US I could actually learn from you!

Very nice. There’s just so much involved in general aviation. This is part of the reason I got hooked flying at a young age and then finally got my private license in the late 1980s. Sadly I developed a medical condition in my inner ear and it really messes up my internal human gyros. Makes getting my medical almost impossible but with this condition there’s no way I would even fly as the PIC. I find other ways to live my flight dreams. I really like watching aviation videos. You do good work! It helps me get my fix. Cheers!!!
