Pilger & Wakefield, NE Twin EF-4 Tornadoes: Life Cycles

See more: www.brentkoopsphotography.com/ or / brentkoopsphotography
This chase video documents our viewpoint arriving on the Pilger, Nebraska EF4 twin tornadoes that occurred on June 16, 2014. We witnessed the life cycle of the twin EF-4's and then the complete life cycle of a rope tornado and a wedge tornado that would become the Wakefield, NE EF-4.
Please consider donating to www.stormassist.org to help those affected by these devastating tornadoes.

I spotted formations, b4 the tornado 🌪️ that hit Chicago's far northside, 2020 season. Decent footage of the tornado 🌪️ as it leaves the hood, and heads over the lake. I spotted many cloud rotations to my south and north. NWS later confirmed my own sightings. I was pleased. No loss of life. Trees down, cars damaged. Roofs. Etc. No one Injured.

Yeah, that's what I'm learning. The speed, they can move with. Makes spotters, life savers ! We need y'all for the fast movers, for at least a 10 minute, advance warning, and to get out to weather radio everywhere ! 10 mins to grab ur fam, pet, and seek shelter. Infrastructure, in the US of A, should include, underground storm shelters, for the outbreaks. Money from FEMA ! Regulated. We should be able to do this. Everlasting love and thanks, to "spotters" !

@@justaguy3392 +Just a Guy: Brother, my chase partner and I were on every one of these tornadoes since even prior to their inception....when we filmed the incredible rotation as we sat off Hwy 81 just north of Madison, Neb. I have footage of us driving up a hill into Stanton from the south, and me pointing out the "rope" tornado that was just north of Stanton....and we watched the formations of BOTH tornadoes #1 and #2 go on to decimate Pilger from that hilltop in Stanton. I firmly believe that the "90 mph" rope was it's OWN ENTITY....and was likely birthed in the very black darkness of all the rotation that was north and quite west of Stanton prior to the big tornadoes. I have that on vid as well. Like I say...I've got that rope on vid....I think it's on KZread as we speak. My cousin puts our footages up in here...I don't. I also firmly believe there were MANY MORE TORNADOES than the ridiculous (4) that the NWS Omaha assigned to the event.

So... why in hell would you drive INTO a rain-wrapped wedge formation with high probability for satellite tornadoes (considering by this timeline in this particular storm, it had already had multiple satellite tornadoes)? You could have been seriously injured being in the Rear-Flanking Downdraft and ultimately ended up in the Rear-Inflow Jet of that EF-4. I'm glad you weren't hurt. I'd go to Skip Talbot's channel and learn a few things about safety regarding storm chasing and tornado spotting: kzread.infovideos The footage you got was pretty good, but I'm not sure its worth the risk of personal injury and/or fatalities to get footage of any tornado.

Very good 👍 video. I like to give you heads up , as professional storm chasers , if I would do it , at 4 a.m. first thing is to check on temperature before the storm clouds . Look for 20 degrees or 40 degrees f. Then look for storm clouds for tornadoes 🌪️, that’s how I would do tornado chasing as professional. Your video is extremely good . 👍
