2:55 I love how in Olimar's body language, you can see him get ready to try and reason with his boss, only to let out a big sigh of relief as his Boss points to Louie. Only to be selected as the leader of such expedition less than 4 seconds later.

True, funniest moment in pikmin.

I like to think Louie ate those carrots MOSTLY because he wanted to, but also because he wanted to get out of work. His eyes bulging at 2:24 is him realizing before anyone else that now he's going to have to go off and do something even harder that'll take even longer.

So...Olimar crash lands on a Distant Planet, and has to put his faith in strange, native creatures to help him not only survive the hostile wilderness, but also fix his ruined spaceship, all while frantically trying to outpace his failing life-support system, and when he finally does escape with his life, the ship he risked his life to rebuild gets hauled off as a sold asset? This is definitely a candidate for the biggest "Fuck you" in Nintendo history.

Also that ship contained alot of personal items for Olimar. (or at least that's how the first game described them) Also the president sent Louie out on his *first job* with the golden pikpik carrots, worth enough to take the whole company down.

and i don't think he even gets to see his family before he gets sent right back to the planet that nearly killed him, like putting aside how it's neat from a gameplay perspective to be back in familiar areas in this game, that's gotta trigger some kind of PTSD right honestly this cutscene is really funny but only if you completely ignore what's actually happening to Olimar lol

Olimar: OH it is good to be home, hey wheres my family? Boss: Hey olimar Olimar: Hey boss! You wouldnt believe it! I was stuck on another world with 30 days to live and 30 parts to get and there were explosions and giant mon... Boss: Whatever Olimar! were gonna steal your ship and take your sons souvenir! Olimar: but... Boss: Okay time to go back to the dangerous, poisonous planet! Olimar: sigh...

The GameCube and GBA era for Nintendo peaked for me especially I grew up with the games that came out in that era alongside the games in the Wii and DS era for Nintendo

The way the president “eats” the golden pikpiks never gets old to me

the fact that the president sounds more like a good guy in the noa spanish version and sounds like a complete idiot in english is intriguing

Did you know that Pikmin 3 has a pretty dark secret related to the debt that the President had to pay off? Well, remember how in Pikmin 2, the President accidentally takes out a loan from the "All Devouring Black Hole Load Sharks", which forces him to go into hiding? Well, there is a portion in Pikmin 3 where Olimar talks about how he has lost contact with the President. What if the loan was so massive, that he ran into trouble like in Pikmin 2, and currently can't contact Olimar? What if he is even dead? I read that on TV Tropes "Fridge" section for Pikmin.

can't be true, there is a log that was talking about how 3 captains work better than 2, and it shows him helping louie and olimar, this is possibly after the log you are talking about, olimar probably wrote it when the president didn't write to olimar in a while, that is because mr. stacho (thats how the president calls himself when you switch leaders) then when olimar paid the debt. the loan sharks couldn't bother the president anymore, i still think that the dude is still yeeting those imaginary pik pik carrots

I really hated the president for selling the Dolphin and replacing it with that plain sack of talking crap. IT'S SO DAMN ANNOYING!!!
