Wow the tenches are awesome! I always prefer a nice tench lake to carp infested water! Pike is quite a carefull fellow.

Yes this particular water is pretty tough for tench so this came as a shock. And the pike have seen every trick in the book.

I'm an amateur fisherman but i have not seen a pike with this size yet...Which water body is it🌊?

Hi mate that's in the Exeter canal. Right in the dead of winter in Feb when it all dies back. Quite a large shoal and eye opening

@@tbagger6666 Ah thanks, Yes that is a nice surprise. Ive only dabble on the Canal for predators myself but now its summer now I know its worth a go for a Tench. Ill pop up Countess Weir at some point and have a chuck I think. Cheers

Yes they are very wary at times. I imagine through angling pressure they've adapted to examine things more

@@tbagger6666 I caught one in Canada fishing for catfish on a hotdog one time. There are so many pike up in the Georgian Bay that there are bound to be some not so smart ones lol.

I guess you were just getting footage and not trying to catch the fish? That's why you didn't give the bait any action?
