Just an idea, if you are going to spend so much time and money on a breeding box to make it look that pretty, apply a coat or two of penetrating epoxy to all the wooden surfaces that will be in contact with manure, and the wood will stay looking prettier a lot longer, plus cleaning would be easier too, and no bacteria in the wood, it would also be easier to disinfect if needed with a spray bottle and Hydrogen Peroxide.
