Attributing that to Dhoni, i would say is you being a bit extravagant with your praises. For australian batsman and bowlers (particularly the 2013 crop) in india, the conditions are so foreign that they dont have a clue how to conquer teams in this part of the world. I remember Dada saying that the real test for an indian captain is oversees. In india he just threw the ball to kumble or bhajji and just stood there in mid-on and was just a silent observer. As i said earlier, lets reserve credit for only where it is due

Yes he has. 2011 white washes were fault of transition period. Zaheer was injured in the first innings of first test against England. Irfan was never selected by BCCI. Sachin and Laxman never scored. No other Swing bowler was found. Ashwin was only useful in India. Kohli had just debuted and Rohit was still a middle order batsman. Bhuvneshwar, Shami and Bumrah were yet to play even first class. Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Gambhir, Sehwag were all "injured" in the middle of the England tour. Great blame Dhoni for them not playing their "farewell" matches.

But the intensity was so high in that series that you wouldn't be disappointed as a cricket fan. That intensity was lacking in the 2011 and 2014 series

As much as people want to say but Dravid was very good captain, He looked after team when India was going through tough times amidst off the field politics of Greg-Ganguly, Never ever once he uttered a word about their controversy and took the responsibility as Captain, India won a test series in WI, won in England.. Won a test match in South Africa in 2006 when team morale was at their lowest because of Gregg. India was on streak of world record winning 20 consecutive ODIS while chasing under him untill that famous match very Bravo bowled Yuvi in final over... What did India didnt win under him? A Champions trophy and WC. Our obsession with ICC tourney is never ending and we never credited our good captains (Dravid and Kumble) who could not make us win any WC or CT..

Two things still I remember From this match is one KP catch took by Dhoni was ground first Other one was Sreesanth was out by LBW in Panwaar over just b4 they called off..
